I,Riblit,

I would like to point out that I don't own this cache - the owner was Aussiegolderminer (aka Bill Stewart) who must have been based in Kalgoorlie and then went to Canada. I have tried to e-mail him but the account is no longer valid. There is a note in his profile about returning to Melbourne and joining "team Crossing" but I can't find a profile for them.

Yes I agree that the cache is incorrectly rated (I would put it at Diff: 1 and Terrain: 2.5). Also it is now an Ammo box.

I am willing to adopt this cache as I believe it is worth preserving because of its unique location. I live 6 km from this location.

Forwarded for you consideration....

Went to investigate this one. Thought that the spot was quite unique and worthy of preserving. Therefore we have replaced the missing cache with another one. Be careful as the area is frequented by muggles on motorbikes and in cars that approach at high speed. Take care to hide the cache carefully so that it is not stolen. The Bull ants should provide some motivation to find and hide the cache quickly Wink

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Had a good look around. Saw the white ant eaten lump of wood, but no cache to be found.

Thanks Allan for the piece of wood that you found to clear the spot to search for the cache.
We cleared the area away but could not find the cache
PS we may need another piece of wood for the next people checking this cache as it is getting eaten away by whiteants.

Well I did some hunting for this one,
I looked in all the obvious spots, but it definately was not there....
May be it was not in the most obvious spot.
The area was covered in Bull Ants,
But I did get a big lump of wood to clear the way to see.

Better luck for the next person (Geocaching)
Hope-fully they can find it...

Nissan...

Found it.
A nice drive around the bak blocks of Kalgoorlie.
This must be where young Kalgoorlie lads learn to drive. It helps if you are on the right side of the fence.
Cheers

5:00pm. Found it fairly easily. clever location for a cache. We had a car load of young people go past us in a cloud of dust at about 130km/hr. Took the coins (for Nathans collection)and left a soft kangaroo. We have placed 2 caches in the Kalgoorlie area while we were up here..go find them guys. Lyn Pat and Nathan

Found it after a bit of a round about drive.... I thionk we might have come in from the wrong side... had a nice drive past what looked like an old tip! Good cache though. Pretty easy to find. Swapped the elephant for some girly product of my wifes! And my daughter loves the elephant!

Located cache without too much trouble. Swapped the Johnston Explosives sticker for some postage stamps (One half of the team likes the Johnston products very much)

Our local cache is 'Vetters View', check it out!

Cheers!

Hi Bill,

Found your cache and is good condition. Took a some scavenging to find it. I rode my bike there seeing it's less than 5kms from home (I'm not very fit so the ride home was slow going)

I left a keyring of an elephant, nearly left the keys to my unit by accident (could have been a good find for someone), didn't take anything.

I'll try and keep my end of the bargain and hide a cache within the month however may need to ask for an extension Wink

Cache is very well stocked.

cheers,
Leigh

Thanks Bill... Found it and also found out why we missed out first time. It helps if all the digits are in the right order. I had E121,26.069 instead of 126,26.096

Will hide cache in the area within a month. Stay tuned.

Your cache was really well presented and I now know how to set up mine.
Cheers

I found your cryptic message on the noticeboard at Hannans Foodmart. Got the GPS and went hunting (only 1.8kms from home). Found the spot... this is too easy, I thought. Wrong! Two of us searched for an hour without finding the cache.

But did find an old Stephens' Ink bottle and heaps of broken acid bottles.

Please give us a hint... we don't want to disturb anymore forest litter and white ants.

Cheers
