As the track starts to get more gnarly, we continue on finding geocaches. Thanks
Found it. TFTC Bristag. I made a career out of this one. I checked that location and was convinced it was not there. It was not until I was on plan "C" that I tried again. Oh Doh ! I got my smiley. replaced as found.
Out in York for a night to catch up with a mate. Picked up a few caches on the way out and way in, making some deviations to clean up a few blips on the map. Cheers Bristag!
Oh my....what a muddy path I chose to get to GZ. My poor new hiking boots!!! Found a better path back to the car along the fenceline. Cache found without trouble, though I'm glad I wasn't any shorter....it was a bit of a stretch. TFTC
This was a muddy pit and my shoes ended up weighing more than double what they did previous. Thanks.
My jandels struggled on this one. Had to take the high path halfway along. Very slippery. Good break in the rain for a wee adventure. Tftc
Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.
A sleep in this morning and no plan of whether we were going caching or not. Physio completed, lunch packed we finally hit the road about 10.30am
On our little picnic sojourn we found your cache.

This was a nice quick find thanks tk the hint but there was a slipery walk in to get to this one almost fell over a couple of times.

Thats the most fun Ive had in the mud for a while! Knowing full well the path in would be sludgy after the river levels are receding (normal for this time of the year) I popped on my trusty gum boots and headed for GZ. Bit of poking around and we soon had the cache in hand. Happy to report its still in great condition and nice and dry. For those who don’t want a muddy adventure you can take the high road and follow the fenceline to GZ - but it wont be anywhere as much fun
Thanks Bristag - I have saved just a few caches in Northam still to get and this was one of them.

Day 1 of WAGB22 week, the plan was to go to Northam and do a few along the way including KEP Series near Clackline and the walk up the hills in Bobakine Nature Reserve. Did some GG Series but had to miss a few and some missing in the roadworks sections.
66 Finds and 4 DNF, and 1 not willing to swim in the Avon.
Thanks to all the CO’s for their hides and maintaining the series.

In Northam so caching I go. Very hesitant to grab the cache but soon had the prize. TFTC
(Catching up on some missing online logs.)
The Better Half and I went out for another drive in the country doing a loop around through York and Northam to pick up some caches that have been missed on previous trips.
Cache found without problems after negotiating the still quite muddy track to it. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.
Thanks Bristag for placing this cache for us to find.

Great spot, thanks for bringing us here.
Dog jumped in the river, got covered in stinky black mud, so he was happy!

What better way to spend a long weekend than packing up the car and heading off on a road trip? We made plans to meander our way to Northam and camp there overnight before setting sail for home. This was one of the caches we had targeted for the day and we also had some GCA caches, Waymarks and Adventure Labs on the radar. Cheers and TFTC.

A little wet this morning but we found the well hidden cache. Great spot.
A bit of tree climbing involved for me on this one as it was well out of reach. Got it in the end and another win for today. TFTC

After a rather unpleasant experience at the caches we tried for this morning, it was far more enjoyable to come and find this one along the river. Hope to come back to this spot another time when the river is actually flowing. From here we trundled along from one cache to the next, following our noses, sniffing out smileys. We met up with another caching team for a few joint finds around York before grabbing pub lunch and doing then worked our way back towards Northam for the end of the race and closing of the event. Congrats to all the winners - sounds like they had fun, but then again, so did we. Great day all the way around. Thanks for adding to the adventure Bristag.
Thank you! In the area for WAGB, and out with papillon367 to find a few caches. Ran into Everlasting and atCatpacity as well. Happy to make the find here.
So out on another Geocaching weekender with Spatial Riq, this time off to the Northam for the 2019 WAGB. Great weekend picking up nearly 70 Caches over the two days. A great variety in the area....

An enjoyable walk along with the Avon with Team LAXA and a joint effort here led to retrieval. TFTC!
WAGB19 weekend! Had driven out to Northam this morning and after checking out the event location & registering, I then headed out for a drive picking up some caches between Northam and York, with some time then spent in York itself. Was a lovely day weather-wise and caching-wise This was one of the caches I stopped off at as I was keen to explore a little along the river. Will definitely be back in summer to spend some more time here. As it was I had a nice walk along from the car to GZ... where I was happy to make a very quick find once getting into the right position for the grab No trouble here, TFTC
It's WA Goes Big day!
Out on an early morning geocaching run with the machman.
Quick find here after a brief walk. TFTC

Heading off the finish off the FOTT series and gathering a few on the way with familysteiner and deefa71. So lucky today we have beautiful sunny day tftc
Was on my way to the Northam event and took the scenic route and stopped by here to grab this cache and learn about the indigenous history in this area. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache Bristag and sharing this history and story. The cache was an easy find thanks to the hint.
Decided to head to Northam to pick up a few caches and a few more caches along the way. I think it rained the whole time I was out today but I still managed to get most of the caches I was looking for and only had 2 DNFS. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches
Only just managed to reach this one lol....

A day out around Northam to claim some more smilies, happy to say we came up trumps here today, a beautiful walk along the river bank TFTC
Lovely walk along the river, pity we have not got the kayaks with us to do the one on the other side.....next time. TFTC Bristag
I had a spare day to myself and decided that I would spend it taking in the sights of Northam and surrounding areas. The weather was really hot, but the heat was punctuated with periods of heavy downpours which cooled things down quite nicely, for a moment at least. A great variety of caches were found today, totalling 19. Initially, I made this one harder than it needed to be by going to high, but once I got back onto ground level it was an easy find. Great hide and container. TFTC Bristag
Really enjoyed this cache - not many ammo cans around my local area (eastern sydney). Loved bird watching as we walked down the river bank TFTC! This gets a favourite point from me
Excellent hide and nice big container. Brilliant along the Avon River. Thanks for a great hint. TFTC
Had to wade the river to get here, the rain really made it tricky....
Beautiful location too!

Here is a spot hidden away from most tourists, and surely only known to locals [^]
A great little park with lots of info about the 'locals' and also a good stroll along the Avon [^]
The cache was found after a bit of scrambling and reaching
It is a MONSTER !! [^]
Love the stroll, love the indigenous history, love the cache [^]

Yay! Finally back and success this time. Beautiful spot for a dusk stroll too. Took a trackable, my first time with one of these, so pretty exciting. TFTC bristag
Found on a day trip to the area with richlink. Yay! thanks Bristag a good old fashioned cache.
On a caching run to Toodyay & Northam on a pretty warm day with iluvtrekking. Nice to find an ammo can. Good spot. Thanks Bristag
TFTC! out with Cravo10 for a run to Northam stopping along the way to cleanup a bunch of caches that have been published since our last visit to the area some time ago.
Was a great day out if a little hot (35!!). It looks like we've got a good caching community out here in Northam, hopefully it can continue to grow and bring more geo tourists to the area. Thanks

What a great place in the early evening as the day cooled and the sun was going down. Ducks in the water and cows mooing in the field across the river. That sweet spot in the evening after the flies have gone to bed but before the mozzies clock-in for duty. Very nice.
Very nice cache, too. Big ammo box full of goodies for the children. Didn't have mine with me today so just signed the log and left the treasures for the next visitors.
Thanks for the cache, Bristag; a great location I never knew about. Enjoyed reading about the history.

Heading out for some caching around Northam, our first mission of the day was to find "Avon A Swim" & then whilst Jase & the kids paddled around in the stream for a while, I went to find this one A quick find was made of the nicely placed ammo box... It was great to see it packed full of swaps Thankfully the kids didn't see inside, as our swaps were back in the car!
Thanks Bristag for bringing us here... And TFTC [^]
