As my last full day of my South Island holiday is drawing to an end, I am generally just going to the next closest cache that is on the correct side of the road for the direction I am heading. That's why I ended up at this site. It's not often I have trouble finding caches hidden in locations such as this and it was no surprise to find the treasure exactly when I expected it to be.
My short trip to this side of the island ends traveling back to motueka in the rain. Pleased for this park and grab to make sure I got 1 cache over hereThanks very much!
Out exploring on the bike around Renwick and west of Blenheim today. A quick grab and sign. Thanks for the cache.
**19,993**Mr Geckoh pleased of a nice quick find after the last DNF. He will take a BBC anytime. Very grateful that the weather has been so good today. TFTC
Waiting for my friends to land at the airport decided to come down Jackson Road and find a few caches.
I was in this area yesterday but the weather was abysmal...what a difference a day makes cache is all good thanks Kiwimykl
We had to detour down here to see if the brewery was ooen - not. The road is very busy today, so I had to be quick with the finds. No trouble here. Thanks for bringing us here kiwimykl
Now a visit at Opaoa River leaving my calling card. Cheers. Dog park very quiet today.
Ive got a mountain to climb so after the Duces Wild Event, Im snagging a few caches around Marlborough to assist me on my ascent of Mt Everest.

Nice looking stream, shame the cows were shitting in it. Cache found all the same. Thanks
BBC caches are fine when one wants to get the numbers up when driving to Nelson to collect another cacher from the airport . It gave me time to look at the mountains - would be a good view in winter with snow on them. TFTC Kiwimykl.
In Blenheim for a while.. so think I'll try and do a few when I have the time.... Cheers.
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington this morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them. All good here, and found without too much trouble. TFTC

Visiting from Wellington to run the Tuia Mātauranga roadshow in Picton. Stop to get this on the way to motel. Road was busy but a quick found and soon on my way. TFTC <3
Out and about wine tasting along with a stop at the Moa brewery. Plenty of caches to be found too. A great day out
Been in the South Island visiting the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Travelling home but mechanical problems means an extended stay in Blenheim. Well, more time to cache. Quick find. Cache all fine.
Find #18 - quick find, had to wait for a couple of cyclists to meander past before approaching GZ. Tftc.
We were off on what was meant to be a tour of the wineries…
Instead it turned into more of a cache tour with the odd winery thrown in - much more to my satisfaction.
Nothing beats a weekend in paradise – other than a weekend in paradise with friends, thanks for coming along for the ride Hayzz and Kimmy+co

This find is our first BBC cache and is also the find for Day #16 of our current streak. On top of that it is also our first find since moving into our new place!

Found today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. Have come frome Victoria, BC, Canada to visit with my daughter and her family in Blenheim. Really great to be enjoying summer in January. TFTC
I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.
Day 8: Blenheim to Picton. Today was the last day that we had in the South Island on this trip and we need to drive from Blenheim to Picton to catch the Ferry back home, we needed to be at Picton by at 1 pm. We decided that we would pick up a few caches along the way if the opportunity arose.
After finding GC79VYP - Wineries of Marlborough No. 7 - Jackson Estate, this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find today. As we neared GZ, Mrs Yeetrees managed to find a safe parking spot not too far from GZ. It was a very easy walk to GZ from where she parked.
Arriving at GZ with my invisibility cloak on (HiVis), no one paid any attention as to what I was doing. Once at GZ, I checked to make sure the area was clear and then I had a quick look at the most likely spot and soon spotted something and soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks Kiwimykl for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13663). A great spot for a cache, thank goodness that it was a Saturday and there were many muggles around. The river was very low today so it wasnt hard to get to GZ.

The good thing about BBC caches is that they are usually quick finds and this one was no exception. tftc
Out and about on Day 4 of the Blenheim cache raid.Nothing quite like starting the day with a couple of Bridge Barrier Caches. This my 2nd of the day. TFTC Kiwimykl.
A quick and easy find. Thanks
A weekend away, first this month!! Up to Sunny Blenheim to do some walking and caching. Friday night drive took forever, there must have been a dozen sets of traffic lights along the way. A great day today though so the Friday drive was worth it.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

I needed to use up my free AMEX flight and with no family trips planned, a day trip to Blenheim was arranged. Lots of cache varieties and different difficulties as well. There were too many caches to do individual logs. Thanks to all the COs. TFTC.
A quick easy find. We did think the river name sounded a bit strange, and the bridge sign appeared to confirm our belief it was an error. However we later glanced through previous logs and discovered the owner's explanatory log. We suggest this information should be included in the cache description. TFTC
A quick find but there was a bit of traffic on the road which made it difficult to get the cache back in place without being noticed. Found with Buzzybe. Tftc
Quick park and grab on our way to Picton to catch the ferry after a weekend in Blenheim. Thanks Kiwimykl for the cache.

As I approached this one there was a man standing very nearby looking at his phone. I wondered if he was another cacher - I parked down the road a wee bit and watched him in the mirror - he didn't make any attempt to do any searching so I decided he was a muggle and I went to find another one nearby. When I came back the man was wandering down the road - he had not signed the log so he was just someone in way of me making the find on my first pass. Thanks kiwimykl
Not done one of these for a few minutes now [:0)].
Happy to keep those numbers ticking up on my way back to Nelson.

#4325. I am over to Blenheim on a day trip to attend a meeting. So decided to build in some time to do a few geocaches while over here. A lovely winters day with snow on the mountain tops. Pulled up near the bridge and my initial hunch proved correct. Nice easy find here in contrast with my first of the day. Signed and replaced as found. Thank's for hiding it here.
04 May 2017 - The name of this cache has been changed from Opawa River BBC to Opaoa River BBC to reflect the correct te reo spelling as a result of a recent Treaty of Waitangi settlement.
2 days in Picton and Blenheim and driving in the surroundings ...
And on the way around the world I also found this cache.
I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container.
The coords are right on the mark. The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache at the same place.
*thanks to Kiwimykl for your cache*

#13901. With the benefit of a bit of local knowledge, we turned off SH1 at Spring Creek (rather than turning on to SH6 at Blenheim). We decided to get back to SH6 via this cache. Nice quick find. TFTC.
Sadly our North island trip is over and after a pleasant, though cramped ferry crossing this morning, we are back in the mainland and heading back home to Christchurch.
Not much time for caching but after not having time to get the cache near the Wellington ferry terminal this morning (we queued for ages at the check in, then were ushered directly onto the ferry) we wanted to get on board for the day. Nothing like a BBC for a quick drive by! TFTC.

Quick find whilst out biking through the beautiful Marlorough winelands.... Sadly our first stop, Seresin, was closed which left us with the long cycle over to Cloudy Bay thereafter. This cache proved to be a welcome break (albeit a late one) on the cycle there...
