My cache find for the day, and having found the Gatton geocaches on a previous trip, I had this cache to find on the other side of the highway. I took the long loop around to the end of Orchard Road, and the cache was subsequently a quick cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I dropped a TB for safe keeping / future travels. Thanks WesWil for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, it was an early morning start to hike Mount Goolman, followed by a trip west to the Lockyer Valley. The morning's hike with [bedmakerTG](https://coord.info/PR126KQ) and [wayn0](https://coord.info/PR8DMMF) was an enjoyable four-hour walk, with surrounding views and a large goanna on a log. Following the hike, I had rough plans to geocache around Ipswich, but these carelessly changed as I headed west and visited the Lockyer Valley region off the Warrego Highway, which included the towns of Marburg, Plainland, Laidley, Grandchester, and Forest Hill. Whilst visiting Laidley, I also completed the [Laidley - Fire and Flood](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/5807bcfa-8fe5-4aba-b036-4f4bb6f83116) Adventure Lab.

Went to this cache just to drop off a trackable, but I was shocked that it wasn’t where I thought it was. TFTC!

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

I started geocaching on the 1st of March and been addicted since. I just want to say thank you for being apart of my geocaching journey, and I hope you have an amazing day!

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.

After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.

After a late night last night, today was a little more laid back exploring some targeted caches around Brisbane and beyond.

This was almost the end of the line for the days adventures. Signed the log and time to move on.

Thanks WesWil for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

26/4/2023 Find #6069
A Wednesday Madness day out today with SaintsMadHouse, we had decided to head over Laidley way and see what we would find, and with our rather delayed start, our first stop was to be at a cabinet makers before beginning any caching.
With business there undertaken, it was time to begin caching.
Found this one quickly, and may have got a giggle or two out of how the swap contents ended up coming out in SaintsMadHouse‘s hand.
Thanks for the cache WesWil & GeoKid.

OMG I don't know how Mr WD21 puts up with me. I'm the navigator so we're driving down the main road (wrong road) and I yell "STOP" it's in there. We did a U turn then zoomed across the road and stopped. Couldn't see a road to nowhere but then we looked over the mound of dirt and really tall grass and there was the road. Bugger we came in the wrong way. Never mind let's climb the mound and get searching. Nice easy find. Everything in good order. Signed log and placed it back where we found it.

A plan was formed recently to camp at Oakey over the October long weekend (due to Ekka being postponed) and tackle the art and a number of fun puzzles in the vicinity. The call went out to a few others we enjoy travelling with and the solving began! Lots of back and forth between members and we finally had a full set a few days out from the trip.

The roads were wet and muddy but that isn't going to stop a group of dedicated geocachers on a mission! The rain held off which we were grateful for however chunks of mud were often shaken off shoes before returning to cars and moving on to the next one.

As is always the case when caching with others there were many laughs and a great time had by all. Always a great sense of achievement when you've been working through a project over a number of weeks.

Thankyou for placing and arranging this series for our enjoyment. The fields and flowers were in bloom. Birds a plenty enjoying the roadside water sources. The scenery was refreshing. Always enjoy a taste of the countryside.

Last one for this trip. A group of us came together to reassemble the SSE, find all of Gravel's Travels and everything in between. This is a beautiful area. Some caches took my Corolla to places it shouldn't have been, especially after the rain. But we had fun, found a variety of hides and saw a variety of landscapes (and muddy roads).

A big thanks to all the CO's who gave us a reason to camp in a little town for the weekend. Those who don't make this a weekend holiday destination are missing out. Signed as Team Grav to avoid too many names on the log.

On my way home from the QOGM and continuing my outback adventures. Today it was leaving Goondiwindi heading up the Gore Highway to Toowoomba and then a slight detour to Highfields area before a straight drive home to Brisbane. I had a list of caches to collect and places to see, some oldies and some for a grid position.

Next on the list was this one and a nice drive around the streets here today. With a title like this one I was not sure what to expect or I would find, truly some nice views of the area. Thank you for the hide and bringing me along to this area, all good with this one. With the log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to grab another in the area.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.

Another rainy morning didn’t deter us from heading out on a southern loop to pick up counties and Queens Land (Qld’s oldest). Again, teaming up with nibletricecakes, GLISS! and Albida33 signing logs as MiNiFiGA’s to also tackle the balance of We <3 Geo, Geosaurus, and Pac-Man, as well as part of the Coat of Arms Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Unfortunately, we were late back and didn’t get to attend the closing ceremony.

All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

24,313. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes, and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!

With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 6. Not quite such an early but still wet start today with an aim of caching our way through finishing all of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way, then doing a loop around collecting counties and QLD's oldest. This was the next stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks CacheQLD and all the other Cache owners !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Dayboro trip. Day 11. The third day of the mega was another wet day, but not quite as bad as predicted. Things were quiet onsite so we headed off fairly quickly. Today Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss & I finished off the caches closest to Dayboro we had not got to before heading into Brisbane and surrounding counties for the oldest cache in QLD and ticking off counties. The final goal for the day was as much of the Coat of Arms caches as we could get to before it was too dark. The drive home from Esk to Dayboro was another wet nighttime mountain drive, but we had a warm welcome at the ACT Chateaux before finally retiring for the night.

Thanks for the cache WesWil

Gotcha!!!

Signed today as MINIFIG! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek and Fitzy_1965 to tackle some counties oldies and interesting caches. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize.
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. Great to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

01-Apr-21
Improvised new cache container because we found original in shattered and dangerous condition. Used what we had in car and refilled with SWAG from our own collection as some in it couldn’t fit in new container. Glass containers do not make good containers. Ours not much better but it is a lot safer, especially for children. Great location. The area would have been devastated during the floods we heard so much about.
