Back in Perth for a while after cruising around Australia for a year.

Heading between Toodyay and Bindoon. Staying in Bindoon with friends before heading back to Newcastle Park in Toodyay for a free 5km run.

Sandyofthesea was onto this one quickly!

blingg, I found Julimar Wander - Heine today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

24-Mar-23
Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.

After 3 days of 37degrees today was forecast to be a 'cool' 32degrees so we decided to tackle the Julimar caches. We ended up with only 1 DNF for our day and some interesting 4x4 driving that we havent done for a while. Lunch at the Bindoon bakery was a bonus but dodging the oversize loads going North and South on the highway was a bit of a challenge.

Thank you for the cache blingg! Found while attending the nearby IGD 2022 events in Lower Chittering.
Teamed up for the day with sacada (our very skilled 4WD driver), e.gregory1, ullyssia, and Photo-Play to find a few hides in the area. We had a fun and successful day with no DNFs, and swapped a few caching stories in the car - nice opportunity to meet two interstate geocachers! We signed the logs as ‘PUPPES’.

Another good place to pull over for a hunt and we scrambled over the rocks and came up empty handed. Read some previous logs and reevaluated the search area.
Noticed something a little different and turned over the cache.

Arranged an extra leave pass day from the boss to be able to head out to the Marshmallow event in Minnivale for a couple of nights.
Teamed up SirFancy for the drive and slowly made our way out stoping for caches along the way.
There were a couple of target caches we were chasing in Ellenbrook and Dowerin.
We got to the campsite at 3:30, set up the tents and joined fellowship for the evening.
A great start to the weekend with 12 finds and 11 Labs.

WA is just out of its latest lockdown. Thought Id enjoy a nice drive to start on the Julimar Wander series. Sun is shinning, birds are singing - couldnt think of a better place to be. Thanks for placing this series blingg. I nearly gave up on this then went back on the logs and grabbed a couple of hints and eventually BINGO!

Having a bad run. Another DNF

17-Aug-19
My app coordinates kept showing me a few different ways and I couldn’t find the rock that moved to reveal a cache (if that’s even how it was hidden). So I collected some rubbish bottles and cans on the way back to the car instead. I challenge whoever sees this to pick up some of the rubbish in the area as well! Until there’s none left. I only had two arms and a bit of a walk to the car so I couldn’t get it all. Let’s keep the nature clean ️

One of 3 DNF's for the day Sad ... (Had 13 finds though!). TFTH - I'll be back!

03-Feb-19
Our main focus for the day was to pay a visit to the Avon Valley National Park, but we put a few extra caches on the list.
This cache was found as described by the previous finder. The paper inside was being destroyed by insects, so we have placed it in a mint tin that we had available.
The hide is now a mint tin with the original plastic lid over it and then covered by a slab. Thanks to blingg for this cache placement.

03-Feb-19
Came along today to do some caching with goingplaces2. Interesting assortment of roadside ones as well as some bush hides. Fun day and included some with higher D/T ratings. TFTC.

18-Aug-18
I think this is the cache amongst rocks. If it is, I found the lid, and the fake $50 note that someone had put in each container but I couldn’t find the base of the container. I’ve put what I found under a concrete slab. Hopefully someone finds the base.

Hidden too well for us. And the smell of the rotting kangaroo didn't help.

19-Mar-18
Another great day out today with Neva2old, both teams had previously found caches in the area that the other team hadn't found, so in the end we both got around the same smilies. The Avon valley was spectacular today, many kangaroos were out enjoying the views of those valleys with us, WOW how specatular !!. We dropped off trackables to continue their journeys, good luck little guys Smile As requested by Lazarus_68 we replaced a couple of caches for him with the right style of cache Smile Thanks to everyone who placed and maintains these caches, we had a fantastic day and the old girl who clicked over 460,000km on the way out carries a few more battle scars to tell the story TFTC

25-Sep-17
Headed out today with a total of 5 caching groups - 12 people in all (7 adults, 5 geokids). With 3 cars, it was a fun convoy! We were going to spend the day caching in Boddington, but due to that series being disabled for the time being, we thought we would get a few smileys north of the river. Even though some thought us crazy, the weather wasn't actually too bad, and all up it only rained for a small part of the day - not that it stopped us searching! All up, we had 74 finds for the day, and 7 DNF's. We enjoyed the caches thoroughly and thank everyone for their efforts in hiding and maintaining these series.
dropped off a trackable here!

25-Sep-17
My sister went the "extra mile" to get this cache! Thanks!

25-Sep-17
Spent the WA public holiday geocaching with a crowd (muskcat83, janssej, marlsj and jakevl). A total of 7A+5C in 3 cars. We had some mini competitions and prizes along the way to add to the fun. We didn't get too wet or cold! Thanks for the fun day out

13-Aug-17
Taking a weeks break in Toodyay before slow moving on to the WA goes big event. I took a short drive around the district even though it was raining off and on. This one took a bit to find even though it was quite visable and I walked right over it following the GPS. TFTC.

** This is a late log **

The caches I am now logging are from a little road trip I did with Eliktrisiti back in late January. We were only away for the one night, but we certainly packed in lots of fun, finds, smileys and laughter, not to mention getting totally drenched on day 2 as we picked up most of the Julimar Wander - like two drowned rats we were, but happy rats at that.

Since then, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.

I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs.

No problems finding this one. Thanks for the smiley blingg

29-Jan-17
Day 2 of the end of school holidays road trip with Mistraluna. Luckily the the heat had tuned down, but not so luckily the rain from north had reached the GinGin are... ou well, that should not stop the cachehunt.... and it didn't. Best day ever, although at times we were soaked as some poor rags on the washing lines. All for the name of THE smileys. Thank you for this one blingg Smile

15-Jan-17
Ok the plan was for the Julimar Series with the Secret 7 that comprises Pommieparkin2/Clan-Wallace, m4yb, WebblyWA and FraTra, we signed all the logs as TM&TO, which some may know about but its a very long story so I won't bother you with it here.

Thanks for this hide and smily blingg.

15-Jan-17
Today's mission was for The Magnificent 7 to assemble at a servo in Toodyay & set about the Julimar Wander Series. We had all sneaked in a few on the way to this point but now the concerted effort is in progress.By the end of the morning all of this series had been located & logs signed TM & TO. They were in exceptionally good condition meaning that there were no DNFs. As the temperature sorted to a max of 44 degrees we were grateful to finish up in the pub for a lemonade & aircon. TFTC

15-Jan-17
Another find by the intrepid crew today of Clan Wallace, pommieparkin2, megawat60, fratra, WebblyWA and self, going under the moniker of TM & TO.
We greatly enjoyed the day and the fun of caching together and sharing the finds, some of which took longer than others, but no DNF's on the Julimar Series.
TFTC blingg.

15-Jan-17
Seven Silly Sausages Set Seek in the Scorching Heat to tackle the Julimar series.
After meeting up with the TM & TO crew in Toodyay we joined forces and cut down vehicles to head out.
While the temperatures soared to around 44 degrees our cache numbers hit similar heights with a few extras along the way. Most were found without too much trouble and no DNFs either ( In the Julimar series anyway). Just about all of the caches were found in good condition which is great to see. While the side streets does add a little time it is good to get off the main road, and have a little privacy in our search. Having said that it was pretty quiet today apart from some Men on bikes that looked more like Middle aged crisis riders than bikies. Sorry for the mostly generic logs there is too many to write yet alone individually remember after our big day out. Think the heat has fried a bit of my brain.

TFTC blingg

15-Jan-17
A plan was hatched to tackle the Julimar series and surrounds with Clan-Wallace, Pommieparkin2, megawat60, m4yb and WebblyWA. The logs were either signed as our group name TM & TO (long story Smile ) or under our own name if they had previously been found by the rest of the group. A great day was had by all and it is nice to do a series that is well maintained.

TFTC blingg this is find # 1801 for us

15-Jan-17
After the box office success of The Magnificent Seven on Boundary Island there was sure to be a sequel. This is it....The Return of The Seven. We met up in Toodyay & consolidated vehicles & then set of on a very successful caching adventure around Julimar. We each achieved different goals due to previous independent caching trips but all had great fun out in the sun.. A big thank you to bling For such a good series.

13-Nov-16
A perfect day to be out doing the Julimar series. All caches found easily enough although this one was not an easy retrieval. Thanks blingg for enticing us a back to this area.

14-Sep-16
Hi there blingg.

We found your cache **"JW - Heine" **at 1:03:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14635.

We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route that is mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today was different; we set out to take the trip around the Julimar Wander series, plus maybe a few more. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and of various sizes hidden along our route. We found 27 caches today & DNF'd 1.

Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** If it was big enough we left a smiley badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

We had this series on the radar for some time now and today was the day to claim the smilies Smile. We enjoyed this area and the variety of containers kept things interesting. There were a couple that tested us with coords being slightly out but previous logs pointed us in the right direction Big Grin. Thanks for the huge effort involved in putting these out, we had an absolute blast. Sorry for the generic log on most of them.
