Had a bit of a poke around, but no joy for me today. Nice spot to come back to, though
Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.
With the hot weather forecast for the coming week (isnt it Autumn nearly Winter?) we decided to head into the National Park today.
We had fun with the GeoCruiser on the gravel roads, saw lots of other 4x4, even some 4x4 gators, and hikers. then had some close encounters with a quad bike and an emu!
Wow that 2022 fire burnt hot! Such devastation in this area.

Up for a weekend of Geocaching with West Oz geocaching celebrating International Geocaching Day 2022 in the Chittering Valley.
Today we grabbed a few of the other caches in the area that we didn't get to yesterday.
We parked on the road to get to this one then realised there was a nice parking area a little further down the road.

Joined up with the MICKS (Meme28, I C Nothing, Kapelula & SirFancy) along with Burns345 for an absolutely fantastic weekend away for IGD 2022.
Traversed the countryside grabbing as many caches as we could and having plenty of laughs along the way.
Apologies for the generic logs.
Thanks blingg for placing Julimar Wander - Ex PM Paul for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log on 21/8/2022.

Coordinates are a bit out but we still found it as it's a good sized cache.
It's not in the large fallen tree but look for something similar nearby.
This is a place we will try to come back and camp. It looks fantastic but maybe could get a bit hot in summer.

Avenging a 6 year old dnf here on the IGD22 weekend. Almost has another blue face here but persistence paid off and I found the container some distance from the coords. Tftc
Today is International Geocaching Day and TaurusSix and I are looking forward to the days events and all that is good about geocaching. After a hearty breakfast at our B and B in Muchea we set out for the day. Weather forecast looks like it is going to be perfect weather 20 degrees and sunny. The morning has started quite chilly but that is a good sign, there is morning dew everywhere and there is steam coming up from the paddocks as the sun melts it away. Beautiful country side everywhere. Bring on the geocaching !!!!
This is our forty third cache of the day along with one Adventure Lab. What a fabulous spot. Nice stroll into the bush to get to gz. Gps played up a little so took longer than it should. Happy to have found and logged it. TFTC blingg

Found while attending the nearby IGD events at Lower Chittering.
This morning I headed out with sacada, Papillon367, ullyssia, and Photo-Play to find a few caches of interest. I was lucky I was in such great company as we found everything we looked for and ended up with no DNFs. Logs were signed as ‘PUPPES’.

A big day of caching was planned for today. Machman and I hit the road just after 6:30am, returning home 12hrs later. A full day of caching from Indian Ocean Drive, across to Gingin, Bindoon, parts of Julimar Road then down around Chittering. Over 70 finds and luckily only a handful of DNFs, and 1 FTF!

Got up and did what I had to today while we thought where we would like to go today to do some caching when the new caches where published. Decision solved. Packed a picnic lunch and off we went. The rain was very heavy travelling there and we were luck for the first half of the morning of fine weather then it poured. We are both very wet but decided to do a few more then head home. Didn't do as many as I wanted to do but can't afford to get a cold.
Quick find here, log signed and replaced as found.

Out caching between Bullsbrook and Bindoon today, cleaning up largely unchartered waters in the caching sense.

Nice location with stream flowing. Stood on top of the coords but didn’t find hide before rain sent us away
WA is just out of its latest lockdown. Thought Id enjoy a nice drive to start on the Julimar Wander series. Sun is shinning, birds are singing - couldnt think of a better place to be. Thanks for placing this series blingg. Beautiful bushland here
On a road trip up to the Mid West. Today, we decided to spend an extra day in the area, picking up some of the Julimar caches and a few others through to Toodyay. We enjoyed the variety of caches as well as variety of placements. Thanks blingg for a nice series and for placing this cache for our enjoyment. Last one for the day, as unfortunately it was nearly dark. Bit of a tricky one to find particularly with no torch handy.

Found the cache, however it had been pushed way back in and after A LOT of poking and prodding we managed to finally come away with a smiley. Hope it doesn't get pushed back too far again. TFTC
Maybe after reading previous logs it might be jammed way up the log.

Please be carefully by not pushing it to far. Well done Team Bastholm & OutnAbout another great find.
Outnabout with Team Bastholm and JAM1511 on our way home after being in Northam for WAGB19. Tried lifting the log but the container wouldn’t move. Thankfully there was enough space to get a hook on to retrieve inch by inch. Will be easier for the next finder.
I’ve attached a photo. The container has been pushed too deep to retrieve and I didn’t have a replacement with me to put closer to the end. Rough track to get close to this one. Thanks for the cache.
Headed out today with a total of 5 caching groups - 12 people in all (7 adults, 5 geokids). With 3 cars, it was a fun convoy! We were going to spend the day caching in Boddington, but due to that series being disabled for the time being, we thought we would get a few smileys north of the river. Even though some thought us crazy, the weather wasn't actually too bad, and all up it only rained for a small part of the day - not that it stopped us searching! All up, we had 74 finds for the day, and 7 DNF's. We enjoyed the caches thoroughly and thank everyone for their efforts in hiding and maintaining these series.
Spent the WA public holiday geocaching with a crowd (muskcat83, janssej, marlsj and jakevl). A total of 7A+5C in 3 cars. We had some mini competitions and prizes along the way to add to the fun. We didn't get too wet or cold! Thanks for the fun day out

** This is a late log **
The caches I am now logging are from a little road trip I did with Eliktrisiti back in late January. We were only away for the one night, but we certainly packed in lots of fun, finds, smileys and laughter, not to mention getting totally drenched on day 2 as we picked up most of the Julimar Wander - like two drowned rats we were, but happy rats at that.
Since then, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.
I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs.
No problems finding this one. Thanks for the smiley blingg

Day 2 of the end of school holidays road trip with Mistraluna. Luckily the the heat had tuned down, but not so luckily the rain from north had reached the GinGin are... ou well, that should not stop the cachehunt.... and it didn't. Best day ever, although at times we were soaked as some poor rags on the washing lines. All for the name of THE smileys. Thank you for this one blingg
Ok the plan was for the Julimar Series with the Secret 7 that comprises Pommieparkin2/Clan-Wallace, m4yb, WebblyWA and FraTra, we signed all the logs as TM&TO, which some may know about but its a very long story so I won't bother you with it here. Interesting discussion on the name sake as we all headed to GZ, Mrs FraTra made this find and nearly strangled the poor container!
Thanks for this hide and smily blingg.

Today's mission was for The Magnificent 7 to assemble at a servo in Toodyay & set about the Julimar Wander Series. We had all sneaked in a few on the way to this point but now the concerted effort is in progress.By the end of the morning all of this series had been located & logs signed TM & TO. They were in exceptionally good condition meaning that there were no DNFs. As the temperature sorted to a max of 44 degrees we were grateful to finish up in the pub for a lemonade & aircon. TFTC
Another find by the intrepid crew today of Clan Wallace, pommieparkin2, megawat60, fratra, WebblyWA and self, going under the moniker of TM & TO.
We greatly enjoyed the day and the fun of caching together and sharing the finds, and no DNF's on the Julimar Series.
This cache was a bit more of a trek than the others, but it was the cache "we had to have".

Seven Silly Sausages Set Seek in the Scorching Heat to tackle the Julimar series.
After meeting up with the TM & TO crew in Toodyay we joined forces and cut down vehicles to head out.
While the temperatures soared to around 44 degrees our cache numbers hit similar heights with a few extras along the way. Most were found without too much trouble and no DNFs either ( In the Julimar series anyway). Just about all of the caches were found in good condition which is great to see. While the side streets does add a little time it is good to get off the main road, and have a little privacy in our search. Having said that it was pretty quiet today apart from some Men on bikes that looked more like Middle aged crisis riders than bikies. Sorry for the mostly generic logs there is too many to write yet alone individually remember after our big day out. Think the heat has fried a bit of my brain.

A plan was hatched to tackle the Julimar series and surrounds with Clan-Wallace, Pommieparkin2, megawat60, m4yb and WebblyWA. The logs were either signed as our group name TM & TO (long story ) or under our own name if they had previously been found by the rest of the group. A great day was had by all and it is nice to do a series that is well maintained. A long walk to this one in comparison to the previous finds but the caches namesake was always painful

After the box office success of The Magnificent Seven on Boundary Island there was sure to be a sequel. This is it....The Return of The Seven. We met up in Toodyay & consolidated vehicles & then set of on a very successful caching adventure around Julimar. We each achieved different goals due to previous independent caching trips but all had great fun out in the sun.. A big thank you to bling For such a good series.
A perfect day to be out doing the Julimar series. All caches found easily enough. Co-ords a bit out. Should be 117 & 364. Thanks blingg for enticing us a back to this area.
We're still heading along Julimar Rd and detoured down here for a quick find. Signed the log and replaced as found then spent some time enjoying the wildflowers.

Hi there blingg.
We found your cache **"JW - Ex PM Paul" **at 1:44:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 14638.
We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route that is mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today was different; we set out to take the trip around the Julimar Wander series, plus maybe a few more. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and of various sizes hidden along our route. We found 27 caches today & DNF'd 1.
Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 11m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** If it was big enough we left a smiley badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Tee Hee !!
What was I saying when I logged the find for the cache at the other end of this road ??
So off course I have to laugh now that I have read the cache name for this cache at this end of the road
I'm sure this road wasn't named after an Ex-PM,
but yer never know !!
The area of the cache is somewhat of a disaster zone ...
... dumped whitegoods, tyres and mattresses add to the eyesore of the forest stripped bare by dirt biker and 4WD campsites and their yahooing around the bush
So I figured this cache must be hidden very well if it were to escape ending up on a humungous campfire, like the remains of the one nearby [:o]
Widening me search metre by metre, I was getting pretty far from GZ.
Then I turned around and saw something that shouted "over here" at me
Yep it was just one small detail in the scenery, not quite in place that gave the hide away
I reached in ... way in ... and pulled out a cache
All good with this box of goodies [^]
