Found it on the way home from our trip on the Holland Track and exploring Victoria Rock and Cave Hill.
These rocks are briliant, so moch water around this time of the year.

Found on a solo trip to the west.
I was planning to head to Hyden directly from Norseman today, but the road was closed. Instead I thought I’d head up to Kalgoorlie then more or less west from there, picking up a few caches of interest along the way.
I was not helped by the foul weather, with some severe cold fronts, rain and winds up to 90 kph over 3 consecutive days - apparently a ’once in a year’ event. Camping has been interesting and the fuel economy pushing into those westerlies for almost 1,500 Km has been rather eye-watering!
This old cache was one that I was keen to find despite the lengthy drive down from Coolgardie and back.
By the time I reached the carpark light rain had started again and the wind was raging as another front (I’m hoping its the last) approached. Fortunately there was no thunder or lightning as I’d have felt rather vulnerable racing that 380 m or so up and then back down the rock!
The cache was found, signed and replaced quickly. Then I was out of there quick-smart. I did take the opportunity to have a drive around to check out the camping area for future reference before heading back up to Coolgardie then on to Gnarlbine Soak.
It would have nice to continue down to Cave Hill. But that will have to wait for another day!
Thanks Aussiegoldminer for the cache.

Wonderful spot for a cache. Even had a little swim on the way to the top. A favorite from me TFTC
Staying in Kalgoorlie for a few days, we headed out for a day of adventure on the trails, with this cache being our main target for the day… We stopped at Burra Rock on our way to Coolgardie after hitting the dirt to the south at Widgemoltha
Arriving at the parking area, the kids were quickly off up the hill & were very excited to see the lake…. Someone had left behind a small dinghy so the kids took it for a bit of a paddle to the island to look for yabbies
Us adults headed up to the top as we prefer to find caches rather than yabbies…. We had a spectacular view today & found the well hidden cache
Thanks for bringing us here Aussiegoldminer… We loved this spot, but it took forever to leave as the kids decided to have a swim despite the 18º temps
Cache was in good condition & dry.

We drove in from the back of Widgiemootha Tavern along an excellent, wide, recently graded road all the way to Cave Hill. After exploring the front of the rock we drove around to the back of the rock and explored the rock dams and found some excellent camping sites.
We headed out of Cave Hill along the 4WD track to Burra Rock. Some parts of this track were a bit hairy with wash aways and boggy patches. And we encountered a few 4wds coming in the opposite direction. Luckily, where we encountered the oncoming traffic there was enough room for one or the other of us to back up into the bush.
All in all, we had a terrific day with the caching being quality over quantity. We would never have driven these roads had it not been for caching.
Thanks, Aussiegoldminer. A fave point from us.

Well the time has finally come for our long awaited Holland Track trip. What started up as a weekend away for a few has turned into a road trip with about 8 or so cars. Bring it on.
This trip included some of our regular gang, some good friends and a few new ones.
Our caching community consisted of myself, Granett, Allied_OZ, Barnzy12, Cravo10, Rudi63, Rokadz, The Fitzys, ChickenHawk07, Jaxonic, McFonz, Richlink and a muggle in Alan.
With plenty of plans, (and food and drink) we left Broomhill at 10.00am. Logs signed as HollandTrek2020 or HT2020
The end of the the run for us and what a great cache to finish at. We have replaced the container which was perished but the original log book is still in use. A fav from me
Many thanks to Aussiegoldminer for placing and maintaining View on top. We were here at 9:07 am on Sunday and this is my find 8857.

The last day of our Holland Track Adventure and we got out of camp 30km short of Coolgardie and made our way into Kalgoorlie for fuel and coffee before heading down the track to Burra Rock to claim this 2002 hide (which helps with a certain challenge cache)
Was a great spot and very unexpectedly we found a huge water source here which would have been great for a swim. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for said swim as we had bigger goals today.
Thanks Aussie gold miner for the cache

After completing John Holland's Track yesterday, we came to grab this old cache before the long drive back to Perth.
The name does says it all.

Thanks Aussiegoldminer for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 09:06:00. This was my Find 21 for today out of a Total number of 28 Finds and 0 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5190.
Our epic Holland Track trek was coming to an end with a crew of 13 in 9 cars including myself, Allied_OZ, Barnzy12, ChickenHawk07, Cravo10, Jaxonic, Kyzabra, MCFonz, richlink, rokadz, rudi63, Thefitzes and one muggle Alan. Lots of great 4WDing, site seeing and evenings of chillin' out and relaxing. We all decided to head out to this one before the trip home.
Bit of a stroll to the top but well worth the effort. Amazing views and a quick find of a golden oldie. Stoked to have my name in the original log book. Awarding a favourite.
Aussiegoldminer I found your cache at 9:10am, this was the 2nd of 13 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6395.

Last day of the trip today, a day earlier than planned.
The group set off to get this cache and a great journey it was. Terrific to see the swimming pool halfway up.
Cache container replaced with the original log book added back to the container.

After completing the Holland Track with a group of cachers in 8 cars, this was the last cache to find with the group. As we (richlink) had done the Holland Track ten years previously and there being no new caches publish on the track in the meantime, this was the only cache we were able to log as a find. A great cache to finish on, in awesome surrounds. Really enjoyed the trip and the company of those who made it such an enjoyable event. Thanks Aussiegoldminer for enticing us to this awesome location.
After camping the night at Victoria Rock and heading in to Coolgardie for a top up and a coffee, most of us from the group once again turned south to grab a few more before the trek home, and on that we most went our own ways in doing so.
Enjoyed the walk up and the scenery here. Looks like a nice place to camp up too.
Thanks for the cache Assuiegoldminer

Found it. Great spot on our Holland track woodlines cave hill adventure. Cache container could use replacing. Tftc
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches. Wow what a hike, so glad we are here in mid 30’s and not higher but so worth the walk.

So after a couple of days in Coolgardie caching and getting a new tyre for Jonathan camper, we are south bound again. The road from Coolgardie to Burra Rock was a pleasure. The climb was hard (for me) but the view wonderful. Cache found, log signed and back down we go! Thanks for this cache and bringing us here.
Found with ICNothing during our travels of the Holland track and surrounding areas. TFTH
After camping at Cave Hill we headed for coolgardie we stopped off at Burra Rock to stretch the legs and admire the view. Cache was easily located and is good condition. Attached is a photo of the log book as requested in the description. Tftc.
Tftc. Sl. Wet & cold day at the rock. Cache & log all in good shape. Gravel road was very wet, muddy & slippery . Well worth the trip out.
A nice view indeed! TFTC, took nail files, left loyalty voucher for a coffee (hope you find it in time!).
Camping nearby before we drive the Holland track. A nice walk to the top and a great view. Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache. Came in from Coolgardie after not finding any caches there it was good to come here and find the first cache for the day. Sat down to nice picnic lunch then up the hill to the cache. Great views from up here can see our next destination. With a bit extra time up our sleeves we took the woodcutters line to cave hill.
Our final of ten finds for the day while driving a circuit south of Kalgoorlie, via Kambalda to Cave Hill and Burra Rocks. A mainly sunny but breezy day. More and more wildflowers to be seen everywhere.
We arrived quite late in the afternoon after some great adventures around the area. The sun was just starting to dip behind the rock as we walked to the top. As we crested the top we had great views back down to the dam before the sun disappeared.
The cache was quickly found and replaced after signing the log. No other campers or visitors around while we were there.
So many of these grand granite outcrops in the wheatbelt and goldfields. Each one is beautiful....but this one gets a favourite point from us. We had a great adventure today and this is a fantastic cache for our 1600th find.
Thanks a million Aussiegoldminer [^]

Great night spent camping here and enjoying the hike up the rock the next morning. TFTC
I killed this one as it nearly killed me! Being on sunset and at the end of a long day, they boys had given up, I had 10 minutes to get up the rock, find the cache, log the visit and get back down. Most amazing time of the day. T4TC - it is great. TNLN
Quite a climb to the top but worth the view. Traveling with Ranger-Aus. TNLN. TFTC.

This one is very hard for oldies like us, we needed a couple of rest stops, found some big rocks to sit on. But the view would be worth it if it was day light. Also saw a couple of large white birds in the water couldnt make out what they were because it was too dark, maybe pelicans. It was easy to find once we made it to the top.
Found it TYFTH TNLN Totally awesome place i had no idea that Burra Rock even existed that was my first trip to that place.
Really must go back to explore it some more

A pleasant walk up the rock to find the cache after parking below. We camped close by overnight then left for Cave Hill the following morning.T: Cd, L: Pet (lucky) rock, SL. Thanks to Aussiegoldminer for the cache
Great spot when you eventually get here. We took the Napean road from Kambalda side and it was a very long drive. I don't know about the directions? Just go by GPS and even that doesn't know where the roads are. We ended up turning the GPS to off-road mode and just headed roughly for the destination. Once you get there the cache is well hidden but the directions are accurate. We had to try to stay out of the sight of half a dozen young muggles adding rocks to the cairn.

A bit late logging this one in. Jan and I found this one in company with team "Western Patrol Club" on our Pemberton via Coolgardie tour. We did the usual swaps but have lost the notebook with what went in and came out, sorry. Stopped here for lunch and took some great pics.
thanks for the cache.

Found it during our 4x4 trip along the holand track together with cachers Naud and Barrabup Sanctuary and future cacher Glenn fro Sydney.
We had great fun during this 3 day adventure and apreciated all the caches along the route, thanks go to the owners of the caches to show us these nice places.

If the cache is called View on top, that would be only possible in the day time. I did this one on my way back to Kalgoorlie after a day of geocaching down near Norseman.
1815hrs, its winter, almost no moon and it's pitch black. Ok don the Head light torch, grab the GPS, the jacket and headed up to the cache. Night time geocaching certainly puts a twist to geocaching.
Got to the top and found the cache surprisingly easily for night time.
The wind was a bit chilly.
Took: Coast to Coast guide to southern Africa
Left: Water Balloons
PS: Im surprised the cache is in very good condition since its been almost a year with out a visit.

We decided that going back to Perth on the main road would be boring so we opted for Burra rocks, cave hill, 4wd to Victoria Rock rd and then back on the Hyden-Nroseman rd. We didnt arrive at Burra Rocks untill just on sunset so we ran up the hill to find the cache. Lucky for us we had the torches as it was dark by the time we found it. From our vantage point up top we could hear a very noisy generator and we thought that it was going to be our first night with others camping near us but it turned out to be workers building the new ablution block ( be prepared fo a fee paying site we guess). They left and we had the usual cold night hunting for very limited firewood but we managed to find enough to keep us warm. That and a bottle of wine (or was it antifreeze) IN:Where's Wally badge. OUT: stubby holder.
Decided to try another way back down to the Holland track and passed this spot. Good views from the top.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
This was a costly trip to this one. I took out my left mirror and radio aerial by drifting too wide on a corner and cleaning up a low branch. Also a truck showered my windscreen that is going to expand very soon. But once there, it is a great location. TFTH
This was a nice day out in the sun. Daisy, Ash and Zack all went for a swim, they said it was nice and fresh. We took a foreign coin and left a candle and a grimace pin.
My first cache I have done under my own name

We've seen a lot of these rocks the last few days along the HT but this one by far is the biggest and has the best views. We needed a good view before we started our trek along the woodlines track which just happens to start right here at the rock.

14 January 2006, we found the cache. Gosh it was so beautiful view, we enjoyed walk along to the cache. So we decided to stay there for camping overnight with full moon. What such beautiful night and lovely breeze while we sleep in swag under the star. TNLN. Thank you for bring us there and organise the cache and hunt.

This one was a challenge....After spending 2 hours looking for this cache at GZ. We had checked around a 40m radius from the co-ordinates, walked back down the hill and checked on our lap top for clues. (As we thought that we were looking in the wrong spot). Walked back and looked again and after no success had given up and had resided ourselves that it was not there any more.
Whilst walking back to our camp site with a sulking Mr Westy I heard a very excited "I cant believe it" come from him.
And low and behold we found the cache 230m away from GZ.
We think that some muggles had previously found the cache and placed it else where.
Even though it was in the wrong location we would like to thank all the muggles for respecting the cache and its contents.
Previously this cache was only found and logged twice, however as you will see in the following photos it was found 5 times by muggles.
We have now placed it back to where it originaly was placed.
Thanks for the challenge........and what a challenge it was!!!
This is a nice place to visit and camp overnight the water is very refreshing to swim in. The camp site has a bush toilet as well as BBQ's and camping tables.
Took the Nescafe travel alarm clock and left a ceramic dog to guard the cache from muggles.

Team Enigma found it pretty much straight away. We were going to stay the night but decided to push on to Cave Rock as we had plenty of daylight left and an esky full of cold beer.
The track to Cave Rock is easy enough, it's mostly a gentle ride along the top of old woodline tramway formations, so the runs are dead straight and the track dissapears into perspective. It's obvious woodline country, all the bush is a uniform age, height and type, with the large stumps and remains of the big timber that used to exist in these parts.
If you intend to visit this cache you should see if you can squeeze in the time to visit Cave Rock as well. It is a bigger rock, more isolated than Burra, and there is far more water on the Rock, several smaller dams leading to one huge one. The cave is pretty cool too!
This was a virgin cache (until we came along), a first for Team Enigma
We took an unidentifiable currency note (arabic by the looks, you do get around Bill!) and left a Balladonia Dollar in exchange. It's redeemable at the Balladonia Roadhouse, but we suggest you send it on a further journey, see how far from home it can get!

Hi bill;
spent an hour or so checking under rocks;
we did notice that there were alot of flat rocks in the area. WE all had a good day but no luck with the cache, perhaps another clue might help.
All the best;
