Taking advantage of the break in weather I've headed north to explore the pretty countryside.
Seeing tgere are 2 dnfs before me this one may need checking. Posts to the left are fairly new and I'm not seeing anything attached to or nearby the right. Broadened the search but no luck.

Just recording a DNF. Found a likely hiding place but, in spite of searching diligently in the freezing wind, came away empty handed. Will ut on watch list.
Easy pullover from the busy highway on our return, but no luck with this one, we looked in the most obvious place, but no luck, on watch list
I made a late decision to go for a lobby caching road trip today, but boot wanting to go into the busy CBD of Sydney i instead chose to go into the remote regions via the great southern road.
These scattered drive by caches along country roads are much more enjoyable to find than many micros.
Thanks for the cache.

Today ended up being such a varied day, with an event, a mob find, multi, then a bunch of highway park and grabs, culminating in a puzzle at the end.
Funny thing was that only the event was planned, but I did about 20 today as i was 'passing'.
This was sixteenth for the day. First small we have seen in a while, but well hidden

Found while exploring the area today during our road trip. Thanks for giving us an excuse to stop and stretch our legs. Signed the log and put cache back as found.
A quick park and grab while returning home. And I found a nice bottle from the Queanbeyan Soft Drink Company Helliers! Might sell it on ebay!
So close now Canberra here we come, we hope to come back to Canberra in the future and fill the gaps of caches we missed and the ones we didn't find TFTC
Quick find by torch on our way from Wagga to Canberra to tackle some T5 caches with the Kayaks in the morning
Set about collecting all the caches along the road north to Yass today - found 20 of 21 targeted.
A short walk, though lots of long grass. TFTC Rapdilywild

Found with nissan 65 on a few days away caching. Log signed and returned to its hiding place. Thankyou for the cache .
Kids saw the sign for the chocolate shop so had to do a u turn. Figured you want chocolate go sign the cache. Tftc
OtterCreek29 was taking me home from Cootamundra and we decided to gab a couple of caches on the way, this was one of the newer ones in this series that I hadn't got and nor had OtterCreek29. We pulled up in and it wasn't long till we had the cache in hand, sign log and put back where found, and started walking back to car when 2 cars pulled up and a guy got out and walker over to where gz was and stopped and found some relief, luckily not too close to gz. tftc Rapidlywild
A quick find with Darzee Di. Put it back just before a convoy pulled up behind us!! We thought perhaps they were fellow cachers, but apparently they were only looking for a place for someone to relieve themselves. Hope they didn’t pee on the cache!
Plenty of room to pull in and start the search. A quick find and TFTC Rapidlywild. Apologies for the late log but think I have the date correct.
On my way home to Canberra after visiting a friend near Gunning. Had to do a little meandering up and down the highway to grab some of the 8 caches that I found today. TFTC Rapidlywild . Signed log as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.
Wednesday 6 December 2017 - an overcast damp Summer afternoon in the low 20s. MuggleHusband drove around to keep Nonna occupied while I jump out of the car at each stop to find 11 from 11 caches. The highway was extremely busy today so we quit before I took any risks to come back another day to find the rest along this stretch.
Quick and easy find. TFTC Rapidlywild.

Wondering back home after the Alexandra event. 2881 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. took nothing, left nothing. Please take a bow. we did many caches today and most if not all were in good condition and actually there. We cache in a lot of country towns, the caches on the open roads are usually there but the town ones are a mixed bag. The cache owners around here take a bow. really well done.
Found with Lpud. It was too windy to go hiking or biking today so we planned a car trip. TFTC
Cache 2685 on 29/7/17
Headed out with DarksideDan for a few caches in Yass on a frosty Saturday morning. 6 hours later we had gorgeous warm weather, 40 caches under our belts and a fabulous lunch at the cafe in town. A great morning out getting some numbers with lots of laughs and a few interesting bird sightings on the way. Unless otherwise stated, caches found quickly and in good order.
DSD dropped a TB in this cache.
Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache!

jazzy3008 and I were heading back to Canberra after visiting Robin Rowe Chocolates. We had a quick stop off just after we got back onto Barton Highway. It was a very quick find for us, then we got back on the road.

A quick find along the highway on my way to Canberra! After only a few finds in Victoria/New South Wales, there were heaps on the fringe of the Australian Capital Territory and I determined to get as many as I could before the cold and rain took hold. Thanks for the cache, Rapidlywild.

Found by Mary & David at 1610. Back here again, and a long way from maccamob HQ. We lived in Canberra for 5 years back in the late '70s. Always good to return to see the family and the changes. Looking forward to seeing the grandkids and going to 3 Events. Dropped off "Vale of Avoca" TB. Our thanks to Rapidlywild.
Quick find on my way to Canberra airport to fly back to Perth. Thanks for the cache.

On the way home to Queanbeyan after taking the Ridgeo-pup to a dog sporting event in Yass.
The last one for us today another quick park and grab and I had my own mini-CITO on the way back to the car. Why do some people dump rubbish when the bin is right there! Thanks for the cache and thanks for the series - it really made my day, Rapidlywild.

Hmm a rare weekend indeed - one where I didn't have anywhere I had to drive to ... except to find my daily cache - lol
It was nearly Sunset by the time I got around to jumping in the car and heading out - I had decided to grab a couple up here - I ended up grabbing 3 (nearly done a year now, shouldn't need to save too many more for later, and the original reason I decided to do a streak for "maybe a month or 2 if I can keep it up that long" was to find more caches
TFTC - I had to leave the ACT before I could enter it again - lol - drove out past 2 and parked near the 3rd one, and found that first ... then I drove back toward the ACT and grabbed this one ... and then another
Weird spot this ... (mind you - my parents and I slept in a campervan in some even weirder spots over in NZ last year

Like a maccas run, doing a caching run along the Barton hwy to yass, collecting as many caches as humanly possible. Tftc, good hint.
Had a caching day trip to Yass, Dalton and Gunning and back to Canberra via Gundaroo. Found many traditionals as well as some puzzles and multi caches. Many new and interesting places visited and roads driven. Thanks to all the wonderful CO's for bringing us to these amazing places.
Visiting the Canberra area from Brisbane and today decided to do a road trip from Canberra to Yass, Gunning and Dalton. The caches we attempted took us to many spots out in the countryside. Apologies for the generic comments, however due to the number of caches done over 5 days in Canberra, it would have taken me ages to do separate different comments for each one. It was a great day of caching and thank you to all CO's - well done.
New replacement cache easily found. Lots of black cows all grazing, all strangely facing the same way. Thanks for the cache!
The first day of our two week Canberra Holiday and it was a travelling day between Beechworth and Carwoola with several caches thrown in for good measure. Robmc and I enjoyed our trip under the clear blue skies and jet streams. What a way to finish Spring!
To finish the day - a big fat DNF. Spied what looked like a good hiding place but the cupboard was bare!! It could be goneski..... maybe!

The start of our holidays and BettyBoo3747 and I headed for Queanbeyan.
A lovely day to be on the road and we picked up a few caches as we travelled.
This was not a Park and Grab for us today.
We had a look, then consulted the clue. Unfortunately that was where we were looking!
A DNF for us here.
Thanks, Robmc.

I felt like getting out of town today, so I cast my eye over the geomap to spot a likely target & settled on Gundagai. After all the rain, the hills are a lovely shade of green & there was plenty of water in the rivers. It also wasn't cold, so apart from the occasional light shower, it was pretty much ideal conditions. Being Sunday, Gundagai was a bit on the sleepy side.
Last cache for the day. I've been past this one quite a few times & always been meaning to pull up & grab it. Tonight I did, in the dark with my trusty head torch.

A cold and windy day of geocaching. Managed 26 today before having to dash home for a school pickup. The area was full of rubbish and used toilet paper, including what it was used to wipe off. BLURRRGGGHHHHHH! TNLNSL TFTC
As we pulled up, a raven came and settled very close to GZ. The bird had to be persuaded to move on before we could look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache.
A quick drive by find. Gee there are lots of traffic on this road even at 11 am. TFTC.
The co-ordinates for this cache are spot on and this made for a very easy find. It was neatly tucked away in position and was not a problem to find. The log was then signed before all was put back into position. Than you very much Rapidlywild for placing this cache to give us the fun of finding it.

Weekend trip to Tumut and beyond with fitzy_1965...and now almost home.
No idea how I missed this one when I completed the rest in the series...but missed it I must have. So, headed in and grabbed it on the way past today.....in the pouring rain and wind that felt like it was blowing at 120kph. Suffice to say the log was signed quickly, cache replaced and I was back in the warmth of the car.
Thanks RW....last one of a good weekend away.

Our final find for the day, in the dark but an easy find nonetheless, and easy to get back onto the highway with not much traffic around. Thanks Rapidlywild.
Finished in Canberra for the weekend and decided to go back to Sydney via Yass to complete what is outstanding there, may as well pick up a few on the way, found with Snickersallan
Nice little series, found with Bluewattle on our way back to Sydney. Thanks Rapidlywild and TFTC.

Well I was just about to enter the ACT so I took the opportunity to find me a cache just before I entered the ACT
Ducked off the road, did a skiddy to stop and out we jumped, eyes going every which way but loose. Benny found the cache once I pointed out the area, so he was tickled pink
Thanks for fun Rapidlywild!

Have stopped briefly here often too farewell our holidaying companions but not since the cache placed though I've noted its appearance on a couple of recent trips. Today however was able to stop and find that which we sought. Our last for the day, thanks to all who hid ones we were able to find.
I was looking for a micro so this took longer than it should have to find . Got there in the end! Thanks Rapidlywild

10101. Found during a great run up through the Yass region with mtrax and Dwarf Exploder.
Despite the chance of rain the three of us met early this morning and did the quick trip up to Yass for a day of caching. A great day - over 50 caches for myself with only a single DNF. This was my next find for the day. We were heading home with just this last one on our list. Quick park and find. Signed, returned, and then we headed off back to canberra and home. Thanks to Dwarf Exploder and mtrax for a great day out caching.

Had a great day caching around Yass with fitzy1965 and mtrax. Managed to triple my previous best for most caches found in a day and passed the 600 finds mark. Most caches were found easily with only one DNF for the whole day.
This was the last cache for the day. Finished just in time as it poured down with rain soon after. Easy find, thanks for the cache Rapidlywild.
