This one took a little while too but that was due to muggles. They came in gaggles and twos, but eventually I was alone, and found the cache a little further from the concrete than the hint, but still findable.
On a quest today to find the last caches to unlock the vault and the Mystery at the Museum. Staying at Creswick and quite close to St George’s Lake, so off to find this little collection on the Loop walk this morning. Plenty of frog voices but no Pobblebonks. SL at 8.40am collected the clue and replaced the zip lock bag. #6402 TFTC Wakkatoo
Found with the geo kids today.
The sun was out so we decided to venture into the big wide world and enjoy what it has to offer.

Tough one not assisted by two phones, both Samsung, that would not settle. Spent 30 minutes here, on a bright clear skied day, and the gps help was bewildering. Read the past logs and found that recently 3 of the top cachers from Geelong, working together, also found this one tough, so we weren't so disappointed. Tried to educate a dog-walker and his daughter about the game, so hopefully the time wasn't wasted.
Spotted this lake on the caching map and decided it looked like a good place to stop for a picnic lunch on our way to Clunes. TFTC
After collecting the youngest team member from his junior survival camp we made a stop here on the way home the youngest team member made the find, log signed and replaced as found, TFTC and the fun
Found with Wildfam and Barnes 86 while out caching for my Birthday.
Cache in good condition and found pretty quick by our Geohog

Spent our time looking for a fake rock but finally found the actual thing. TFTC
With fantastic weather this afternoon it was a perfect chance to go for a walk around this lake with my geodaughter alongside to keep me company.
After watching lots of people enjoying a swim with their floaty toys lol, we made our way over to this one. We had to be quick here as there was a group starting to gather at the steps but with good luck ( and the hint) i found this one under the first rock i turned over!
Great work here too Wakkatoo!

After an overnight stay in Portland, Na'wal and I had a handful of hides to pick up on the way home, after a few detours...... Once again the weather was perfect and the caching was fun. Plenty of laughs and no DNF's !! Thanks to all of the CO's for placing these caches for us to find.
We had visited this area before, but we ran out of time to finish off our wish list. With some time to spare today, we returned to cross some more hides off our list.A very scenic area here, with muggles milling about. The hide took longer than expected, but we got there in the end. TFTC Wakkatoo

With another bright, beautiful day for us to go exploring, DAB and I couldn't help ourselves find a few more caches for the weekend. We had the 4WD packed to keep our energy levels up.
Last time I was at this lake, which was about 10 years ago, it looked a lot different and with not much water. Today the place was buzzing with people. Thankfully we had some time to search for this one which even with the hint, took a little while to find. We were expecting a little different type of container here but eventually found it.
**Thanks Wakkatoo for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

TFTC. We had set ourselves a task of finding 2000 caches this calendar year. Heading back to Maryborough after celebrating Christmas with the family we decide to stop at Lake George. We had often promised ourselves a stop here. The area was crowded with swimmers but we were able to explore without arousing attention. We managed to find 2 of the 4 caches ad thus had to leave the puzzle. Never=mind it was a great wander in the shade around the lake.
Found 9th of October, forgot to log, took a few minutes to find but found it in the end, thank you
Found in the company of 08151605 as we visited the area to clean up a few missed caches. It was absolutely freezing this morning and not getting any warmer as the day goes on. A lovely walk around here and this had us searching. Nearly about to give up when I spotted the well hidden cache. Thanks Wakkatoo
We finally found this cache on our 3rd attempt! 1st time was mid summer and once we'd cased GZ, we aborted since there was no chance of discretion with the crowds. 2nd time was less crowded but no luck and the occasional muggle made it hard. Mid winter however is a perfect time! Thanks
With a stupid o'clock start for a flash mob in Geelong, Ausfox;, Neville_devil and myself headed Ballarat and Creswick way in search of as many Regular size caches as we could find for the day. The things you do for challenge caches [:o].
With a regular sized cache for the final as well as one in the series we decided we would make a completed circuit of the lake to make an attempt at all caches in the series.
The fourth and final of the tradition type caches in the series and by far the hardest. My GPS settled on one spot initially but after a bit of a search with out any luck I gave the GPS another whirl. IN time it settled a bit further along. By now the cold concrete and cold rock were taking there toll on my hands and knees. I was very grateful when the knew location showed the prize
Thank you Wakkatoo for the series

This one was the trickiest of the four. Very glad that is was exactly at GZ, otherwise I don't think we could have persisted. Thanks for the cache.
I joined up with Simsfamily and Neville Devil after a 3am flash mob in Geelong and made our way to Creswick to search out regular size caches and others in between.
This one had us wandering back and forth searching for the cache, but with persistent the Simsfamily made the find.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Wakkatoo

Out and about with the family collecting caches with MazzyMay, SciFiRulz and Dippa46 TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch, Dippa46 and SciFiRulz. Oh no..... Rocks, rocks and more rocks, sometimes I feel like I have rocks in my head to be looking for a cache in this environment. However it wasn't long before SFR had it in hand. TFTC and challenge.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch, MazzyMay and SciFiRulz. We went for a "stroll" in the park and located it. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch, MazzyMay and Dippa46. Took us a little while to find this one, there are a lot of rocks. A few muggles were about today enjoying the lake but none near where we were searching. The cache is not attached to any camo at the moment. TFTC
All those rocks... could have taken a while but eagle eyed Miss 9 spotted it quickly. TFTC
Walking up to Gz and looking around, I mentioned to kenare that this could be a hard find, but looking from the right angle the cache was found quickly. Cigc. Tftc.
Sean.75 and I met up this morning and decided to walk the lake. Apart from a couple of caches in the last few weeks, I hadn't been here for years, and I don't ever remember walking around the lake. It's so pretty!!! Sean.75 spotted the cache in no time at all. Tftc
Didn't find today. Phone jumping around, kids fishing. Will come back another day with GPS.
Out and about today to forage for mushrooms, have a picnic and campfire, and of course toast marshmallows. Managed to sneak in one cache whilst others were fishing and mushrooming. This one took a while - the cache no longer fits in line with all of the hint, but the coordinates are still spot on, so just takes careful looking. St Georges Lake is lovely, and we've been here a few times. Look forward to returning to compete the whole loop. TFTC

*Who could wish for a more enjoyable area to spend time, than in and around the Creswick Regional Park? A wonderful area for walking, riding, exploring and of course geocaching!*
We enjoyed a DNF free day, among fascinating fungi, carefully hidden, well maintained caches and this interesting little walk.
Thanks to Wakkatoo for placing this cache.

Oops I missed logging this one.
Spending a great day with Papillon4265, geoturtle37 and OzHockeyChic. This was the last find for the day and approaching GZ I was nervous, but all went well and we were on our way. Thanks Wakkatoo

After a pleasant evening in Maryborough, Papillon4506, GeoTurtle37, BonnyBlack and I set off to pick up some more caches on our list - D/Ts, solved puzzles, favs, LGAs, as well as occassional drive-bys to break up the drive.

Was walking down the path in the rain and saw the wall of rocks. OH NO! Anyway, we decided we would have a look for a little while but not toooo long. Had a bit of a look around, resorted to the clue which confused us more than helped. One more look, now where was GZ . . . . . oh . . . . . right where the cache is! GZ spot on. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed lunch by the lake watching the ducks, before setting off to find this cache. Only a couple of muggles out walking today, so just waited for them to go on further. The find was not as difficult as I thought it would be. TFTC
Found with friends from NSW teaching me how to fish in the lake. Great little hide! Thanks
Find #1189 for me. When I saw the container size and the location it had been placed, my heart sank. Then I read the hint and was very grateful for that! As it turned out, my GPS liked the coordinates and I was able to make a quick find here. However... it was at this point that I noticed the clue on the container lid and cursed myself for not gathering the other clues along the way. It's not like I wasn't aware of the bonus cache and the fact that these caches held the information to locate it, but I simply forgot. So... instead of walking the loop once I had to retrace my steps and got a good dose of exercise by completing a second circuit. I can remember visiting St. Georges Lake several times in the 1980s and 1990s but I think this was the first time I'd walked right around it... twice! Due to the extra time taken this morning I decided to leave the bonus cache for another time, but thanks for bringing me here today Wakkatoo and thanks for this cache and the great series!
Up from the south to spend a couple of days to have a look about and collect a few caches
at the same time. Found it retrieved it signed it and replaced it after a short stroll.
Thanks Wakkatoo for this cache. Lucky day had a good look around before searching
first spot bingo.

We decided to head to Creswick for a spot of geocaching before the bad weather came in.
We managed a quick find here thanks to the great hint.
Thanks for hiding the geocache for us to find today.

Last find for Fergzter today after attending an event at Sailors Falls and working his way back home. It was awesome to see the water going down the spillway today. Admitedly it took me longer than I care to admit to find the cache but found it was. TFTC Wakkatoo.
A great day for a walk in the bush and hunting some caches. Tried this one in the warmer months, but the muggles out numbered the flies. NO one here today to spoil our fun. TFTC TNLN
**Found whilst House Sitting in Clunes**... Beautiful little town...

Finishing up our time in Creswick and after a nice relaxing morning we visited the Woollen Mill and then grab some food for lunch. Parked at the lake to eat and enjoyed a short stroll to the spillway and a quick find. I do wonder what will happen if there is a serious amount of rain!
Thanks Wakkatoo

We found this one on a rather chilly morning while picking up a few caches around the lake, we had to search for a minute or two but it was soon located and logged. My boys had decided to use the area as a great spot to try their hand at skimming stones. Nice to see water spilling over too! TFTC Wakkatoo.
Passing through the area on my way home from a work visit to Maryborough and needed a short walk to stretch my legs.
Almost bailed out on this one as I stood looking in the drizzling rain but then I spotted it just as I was in the process of giving up. Could be a tough one.
**Thanks for placing this nasty nasty cache Wakkatoo**

Thought it was miraculous that we found this almost instantly.
Further to our find, we were not aware of any camo that the cache should have been attached to.

A beautiful day for geocaching, Bogonghazy and I took the geodogs and headed to Crewswick. Collected some lovely caches in a beautiful area of the countryside. Loved the idea of this one. Many thanks for sending us out to this gorgeous area.
Headed to Creswick and surrounds with Leetalicious and the 2 geodogs for a great day's caching on a beaut but cool Autumn day.
This was the 3rd of this series and great coords made for a relatively quick find once again. Hope it never floods over
Thanks again Wakkatoo for a tour of your local area, great spot

Again I was relying hopefully on accurate coords as this could be a real haystack.
However the clue made sense and really narrowed the options.
Cache found and in good order.
Nicely hidden Wakkatoo
Now to the final bonus!

Found OK after a mountain bike orienteering event at the lake. What a great name for a frog!
Found it, flukes the very spot I looked and in doing so also picked up on an important little hint.

Today, I'm on my way up to a weekend of events by the Murray, but in true Geocaching fashion, have begun by travelling at right angles to the direction of my destination. I think it's going to be a long day...
A multi in Creswick was part of the reason that I've headed off at a tangent to my destination. As of this morning, there were 14 placed months for which I have no finds, and six of those can be covered in Victoria. I'm hoping to knock off four of those six today... but the odd detour or opportunistic find never goes astray. In the case of St. Georges Lake, that meant a whole, fun, series.
This one was fun. Thankfully, there was nobody around, as there's nowhere for anyone to hide at GZ. The hint came in handy for narrowing the field, so I could sign and be on my way before anyone else turned up.
Thanks for the series and the smiley, Wakkatoo.
