Had a good long look here but no sucess. There appears to be a recently removed sign. Could CO please check if still here.

I barely ever stop in Ballarat without also stopping in Smythesdale, and I never stop there without dropping in (or in this case attempting to) on Teacup Capers just a short walk down the next street. TFTC
SanguineDragonflye and I spent the day caching in and around Ballarat in what is fast becoming our yearly hunt. On Sanguine's recommendation we started in Smythdale to try to hunt down one of her favourite cafés... but unfortunately it was closed. Ah well, nothing to do but cache! We decided against the rail trail caches, so this was our best option. Like others, we hit the wrong obvious spot first, but found it pretty quickly once we moved on from there. Cheers!
Found at 9:51 AM GAFF1.
Fascinating story about Lynch - fighting against the British and then ending up in the Irish Parliament! It was also interesting to see those photos of the town in the 1860's - they certainly needed a lot of timber to build a town and to mine for gold - there was nothing left!
We headed over to the logical spot, but after a few moments realised that we needed to go over to another logical spot
Thanks Ronie & TG.

Caching our way around and checking out the sites with our Kiwi group Buller Trout and Paddle Chick after coming over for the Surf Coast Mega have signed the logs "Team NZ" thanks for the cache placements, I'm never naughty.........no fun in that
Found on Mega trip with Paddle chick and Kiwi Nomad. Thanks for all of the caches. Enjoying the trip. Always wanted to come back to Victoria
Day 3 of the girls' road trip to Warrnambool, which then extended out to Bendigo on day 3. On day 4 we picked up another passenger for Harry as the new passenger needed a lift to Adelaide.
Today we cached a little more in Warrnambool before driving to Bendigo, accompanied by micaparamedic in his rental car. We also stopped on the way to say hi to the lovely Sully1 and enjoyed coffee and muffins
There were no DNFs today and a total of 17 caches were found
Driving through today on our way to Bendigo when both GoodLook and I noticed the name of this cache
That was it, it had to be found!
We tried to inform micaparamedic that we were stopping but he kept on driving.
The find wasn't as quick as we thought it would be as yes, the coords are a tad out however knowingw e were looking for a micro (nano) I guessed where it might be and voila, it was found
Then a dad and his 2 children turned up and sure enough, they were geocachers
Seems they had never seen a nano before and so we assisted by helping them to locate it and then explaining how to roll the log and put it into the lid first [^]
As we finally got back to Harry, up drove micaparamedic as he had realised that we weren't behind him

We saw the name of this cache and did a U-ee to do it....lol....was that naughty of us??
Locus put her hands on it first.
We did meet a brand new cacher with his kids at GZ and helped him find the geocache as we found the coords to be several metres out....actually he'd never seen a nano before so it was great timing we were still here to show him what to do.
Talk about déjà vu ..... this is the second weekend in a row that I have been on a girls caching road trip with Locus Cache to Victoria. This time however it was a fabulous 4 day jaunt AND we may have even brought back a lovely Victorian fella with us (micaparamedic).....ALWAYS an enjoyable time when we hang out!
Kaye and I travelled from Adelaide to the beautiful Warrnambool area to attend a Friday night picnic in the park event and then on Saturday we enjoyed a yummy BBQ lunch at the 1 month to the Surf Coast Mega Event. Bendigo was our next overnight stop and then we headed home....which only took us 15 HOURS!! haha It wasn't the Little Desert National Park we got lost in this weekend, it was Murray Sunset National Park...LOL - but we did get a joint first to find which made the detour all worth it....who needs to get 8hours sleep before needing to be at work the next day anyway??
We targeted a number of caches over the weekend, including some oldies of Alex...very cool finding original ammo cans in the bush and some to help out the D/T grid!
Once again the conversations were highly amusing and we enjoyed lots of belly laughter!! haha [:o)]
We saw kangaroos, emus, lots of birds and a whole heap of water due to recent heavy rains.
GEOCACHING ROCKS!!! [:X]

This one too tricky for me. Compass playing tricks around this area. Hint would go a long way
Found while heading home after a weekend of mogni time. We had muggles, arguing GPSr's and then that mogni magic worked and with a little stretch, she had it. Sorry for tardy log. TFTC.
Having been in Ballarat for the weekend it was time to head home.... This one should have been quick but we did have lots of muggles to content with and our GPSs had has wandering as well. Eventually put my hand in the right spot and made a find.
Thanks
Thanks
Bit sad I couldn't get this one as I'm usually alright with nanos, though I may have been looking in the wrong area according to previous posts. Will have to return to it at a later date
With a big day planned in this general area with trads, multis even a Mystery to pick up, we set off early with Wozzle68 rugged up to brave the cold winters weather. We were lucky with the rain holding off for the days adventure allowing us to eventually achieve our goal. Inspected the old Gaol why searching here for this micro, with a bit of help from a previous finder we soon had our names added to the log.
Thanks Ronie & TG for the cache.

A lovely little town that we stopped through on our journey from Bendigo to Camperdown today, and a quick find.
Visited some TBs.

Despite it being a rostered day off, we had to come in to Ballarat for a work dinner in the evening, so why not make good use of the fuel and come in for the whole day and find some caches as well. Decided to target the Smythesdale/Enfield area, and met up with Wozzle68 at the local cafe before heading off into the bush.
This was the first cab off the rank for us and a quick and easy find before quickly checking out the historic features and using the nearby facilities. TFTC Ronie&TG

Called through on the way home from a new multicache in Linton, thanks for the cache.
Almost gave up on this, determined not to have a single DNF for the day put some time into searching. Eventually found on the second look over the area. TFTC.
TFTC. Out today with Jaggedwings and the Geomutt to enjoy the sunshine and pick up some caches in the outer lying areas of Ballarat and surrounds. Geez, the GZ on eith app and compass didn't want to settle here and we were searching high and low before checking an original spot again where Jaggedwings discovered it from a different angle. I was very impressed with the history here.

Searched for your cache Don't Be Naughty but at the end of the day we must be too tired and couldn't spot it today
As I pulled up at GZ, I noticed someone walking about focussing on his device. Must be a fellow cacher en route to the event down the road. This was the first of several encounters with Muzza for today. Luckily with 2 pairs of eyes, it was quickly in hand. TFTC
On our way home from the Skipton Caves Event with St37E and Beckster22 and we pulled over to make the grab. After searching for some time at our indicated GZ we widened our search and made the find. Thanks for placing.
15:07
Pumped by the experience of The Skipton Cave Event, the Scarsdale speed limit sign slowed us down in time to make time for a few local caches. The autumn colors around the old buildings set them off perfectly. The cache was soon in hand, then we paused to read the very distinctive plaque.
Satellites to day had our GZ 10m west of where we found the cache.
Our thanks to Ronie & TG for bringing us to this location.

Today was all about the Skipton Cave Event, with a couple of caches before, and a few afterwards as a bonus. This was my second before the event. I checked a couple of places before someone asked "Have you found it yet?" It turned out to be GenieJoan, someone I ran into several times after the event as well.
My thanks to Ronie & TG for the cache.

Found in the company of Glanville Girls & Beckster22, we searched where our phones directed us and came up with nothing but after expanding our search radius and looking for the logical hiding place Glanville Girls made the find on the well hidden container

What a great hiding spot ! We are learning more with each find. This one was another first for us.
3:45:00 PM. Better half made the find here on a pleasant day and the log was signed. No muggles around here today. Great reading about the local history nearby. Thanks Ronie & TG for placing this cache.
The goal today was to go back to the start of the rail trail and try to get the caches we didn't try yesterday. Along the way we grabbed a couple of nearby caches as well. It was a lovely day for caching, sunny but not too warm. A quick find. TFTC
I got this one just before heading off to Horsham for a fishing comp. A nice sneaky little hide with lots of old buildings. Cigc. Tftc
Out and about this morning with master 5 to do maintenance on the BSRT so we grabbed a few other caches too! This was our morning tea stop in the shade. A quick find here. Thanks for the cache
Was here looking, looking, looking last weekend...no joy for us, but we enjoyed reading the history.
I will be back to look again. Many thanks Ronie & TG.

Heading over to Ballarat for a caching weekend and picking up a few caches on the way.
We managed to find about 230 caches in 3 days not bad work for 3 old guys
I followed instructions and was a good boy.

Day 2 of our caching trip to Ballarat with Freddo and Team Waldron, very beautiful spot to stop at and cache was found in the first spot i looked, i love that when that happens.TFTC
Stopped off at this spot and was lucky to locate the cache in the first place we searched.
We used to have a multi here many years ago so it was good to stop off and revisit the area.
Thanks for the cache hide.

On my way through Smythesdale, I decided to stop and look for this one. I checked a couple of spots before spotting the sneaky hide. Thanks Ronie & TG.
A good half hour or so with no such luck >.< Nevertheless, will be returning to find it! ! To be continued...
Found this one today while out geocaching with my boys. I always wanted to put a cache in this area but looks like I was beaten to it. It was great to see some local history, especially the preserved gallows not far away. Reminds me of a darker time.
The coords are about 10m out but using some common sense the hide can be located easily. I dont know why I didn't take a reading when I was there but I will do it next time I pass by to pass onto the CO.
Thanks to Ronie & TG for the hide in an interesting area.

Suscoe was up in the Ballarat area today enjoying a delightful wander about.
It was a beaut Summer's day with some cloud cover and a gentle breeze to keep the temperature very mild indeed for this date of the year. In short it was the ideal day for a caching trip.
We admired the old building and wondered about who had crossed the threshold and what they might have done.
After checking a few possibilities we relocated our searching and soon had the cache open and the log signed.
Thanks to Ronie & TG for showing us this spot.

Last one on a busy day & proved to be the hardest, nearly gave up but finally spotted the blighter. Signed log then soaked up the history, tftc.
Disappointing cash evening. Plan was to find 2 cashes. Couldn't find either of them. Maybe a small hint for this one?
DNF I was fairly certain where this one could have been hidden but after not finding it there I widened my search and still nothing. I always seem to fail the 1 star ratings lol
Snug hide. Jumpy GPS made for interoccular observation and touchy feely techique as best method. TNLN TFTC
Found after a little wander around, but could not extract the log to sign it... my geotool was too weak to make the grasp. Took photos if CO wants to see them - can't publish here as too much of a spoiler TFTC!
Don't Be Naughty is up and running again, thankyou for alerting me to the problem of the "missing cache" Hopefully it will remain in situ this time.
Didn't find today - Lumpyjrb came over to look with us, but it seems this one has gone AWOL.
Brought some friends here to find the cache and it was no where to be seen. Might need to be checked. It wasn't where we found it Christmas eve.
Nice little pick up, while having a strole around the town,
Well worth reading all the history of the area on the board there.
Thanks Ronie & TG

Find No. 1209. Found with FUF009 at 3.50pm
No.47 of 56 for today.
After completing the Linton to Scarsdale part of the BSRT on our bicycles which we had planned to do for the the day, we now had the rest of the day to locate other finds. As we headed into Ballarat we chose a few icons to turn into smilies along the way.
Our GPS's sent us in every direction at this place so we had to think of the obvious place it could be. Looked at a couple but finally FUF009 found the spot. After signing the log we spent some time here looking around this interesting place and reading about the wooden structure at the back.

Find # 2741 @ 15?? H
No.47 for today.
Found with Tyred n Cranky
It was done, we had came down with a plan and had now finished the Linton to Scarsdale leg of the BSRT, there for it is now all found (until more placements)
With the bikes loaded up we though about making a few more finds on our way into Ballarat, so a look at the GPSr and a plan was organised to turn some icons to smilies.
The Blue stone building was having a little play with our GPSr signals. It was a bit of luck that led me to finding this little cache.

Perfect day for a spot of caching. The GeoFerret di the driving and signing of the logs today.
Took a few monents to find this one. Then we looked at the display of the old Ballarat gallows.
This was find 1 of 7 finds for today, being found at 1:20:00 PM.
Thanks Ronie & TG for placing this cache and bringing me here.

Riding bikes on BSRT and had found 6 caches before lunch. Then came here to the lockup which we had never seen before. Great spot for a cache, lots of options, but my daughter suehut is pretty good at this game, so she soon pounced once l'd told her what size it was. Thanks.
Our GPS was jumping around a bit bit McLookers made the find in the end. Thanks Ronie & TG.
Our last find for the night, we found our GPS to be jumping around a lot. Relying on our geosenses, we made the find quickly. This is a very interesting spot Ronie & TG, we hope you have more caches planned for this area. Caching tonight with Motndarg and Tomstache.
After looking around for sometime with no luck , eventually McLookers spotted the sneaky little cache. Thanks Ronie &TG
Nice day for a cache or two. Out and about with the great company of Cherad and our geokids. We had a great adventure while visiting this local area, why not end the day with one. Geokids 1 came up with the goods and the log was signed and replaced in a timely manner. We then looked around at sights before heading back into town and home again.
Found while out enjoying a lovely day and trying to add some smiles with Mi5sie, very interesting area, geokids loved investigating, log retrieved, signed and replaced, with no muggles around. TFTC
Kenbryl and I headed out not long after the notification came through. All the Christmas Eve stuff got put by the wayside so we could go have a look. My phone wouldn't settle so we relied on geosense. With 3 sets of eyes roaming in the wrong places we finally got the shout out from kenbryl. The log was signed and replaced and we headed home to peel more spuds. Tftc
Yay my first ftf!! Kenare and I pulled up and other geobuddies were at the pub so geocoop came and helped! Tftc
