#4975. We are away on holiday at the moment visiting family before Christmas. Arrived in Auckland yesterday and I had most of the morning free to geocache before we have an early Christmas lunch. Nice to be out on a warm summers day. Took a few minutes to find. Located on about the 4th object checked. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache The Seers.
Came down here this morning to grab this one to continue my daily streak (Day #330) Nice quick find before the local muggles wake up. TFTC and also for filling a dot day on my calendar.
I had to come over to Rosebank Road today to return some gear to a hire-age company that we had used for a Halloween alternative youth event. This took a lot longer to achieve than expected as returning halloween type props to a prop company on Halloween weekend was like trying to get home in rush hour traffic... it takes a lot longer than you think or hope it will. Anyway, having finally achieved that mission, it was time to achieve another... a mission of the geocache kind. So I pulled up the map and that is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. So after parking near by I made my way on foot to GZ... and of course at that moment my GPS decided that it wasn't going to cooperate and it still had me located on Rosebank Road for some reason. So it was time to re-read the description and trust in the good old geo senses. Naturally at this time I was also interrupted by a couple of muggles out for a walk and so I simply pretended to be on a phone call until they had passed. And once they had it was on with the search. It took me a little while to locate the cache... but once I did the log book was signed and the cache was put back in it's spot nicely for the next finder. So thank you The-Seers for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts. It was also nice to see that there were a few flowers near by in bloom reminding us that spring/summer is indeed upon us. Nice! TFTC
I had a meeting to go to on Rosebank road but I was running early so what better way to kill time than to grab a local cache or two I spotted a likely hiding area but it was very hard to be quiet getting to it because if all the leaves crunching, and I was vary wary of how close it was to a house. But the cache was found quickly, signed and replaced before I was spotted. An added bonus was all the ducks that were around with ducklings.... so cute! TFTC!
Very dry undergrowth here, very difficult to move quietly! Luckily spotted the cache quickly so I could move away quickly! Cheers.
Up in Auckland for a family break, managed to find an hour or so to find a few caches, a loop from home to New Lynn, Patiki Road and Te Atatu road back home, as the sun went down. I've forgotten how the mosquitoes attack at this time of night.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Up in Auckland for a few days - not for work this time - main event is daughter #2's graduation ceremony at Auckland Uni tomorrow (Monday). Today was a day to take some time out and go and find a few caches. The weather was pretty variable but it did slowly improve during the time I was out and about. Overshot GZ by a few metres. GPS wobbly under the trees but still managed to find cache in the second or third place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Cache full of water and very wet, obviously. Dried out as best I could. Log OK. Thanks.
After work I decided to swing through the area to grab the four caches that I had not yet found. The cache was a quick find once I got the GPS to cooperate. It was a bit exposed so I gave it some nice leaf litter cover. TFTC! #1088
Man my GPS was all over the place!!! I was looking at different places quite a few metres apart, wondering if they counted as trees lol. Then I zeroed in on GZ then easy find. tftc. Yes I reckon a shortcut lol. ha ha. tftc
Had finished at the customer and thought I could squeeze in maybe a couple of extra caches.
Noted this one was close but a slight detour for going back to the office. What the heck!!
Headed over parked and wandered to GZ where I made a quick find thankfully as it just started to rain as I was replacing the container.

Nice quick find on a drizzly Sunday morning. Kiwiscot had fun climbing a couple of nearby trees. TFTC
I wanted to do this one and found the GZ easily enough but there was a muggle working outside his house super close to where I thought the cache would be located. Discretion being the better part of valour I decided to leave this one for another time. Don't take my DNF as a suggestion it might not be there - I couldn't say either way because I couldn't hunt.
Another walkway - and small park discovered!
Found after a few minutes of search thanks to the clue!

It seemed like a good afternoon for a bike around Avondale all the better with a few caches to swing past along the way. Being stealthy was a challenge as the foliage was very crunchy! Checked a couple of trees before I saw it out in the open so covered it up with some natural camo. TFTC!
The neighbours were all home so we made a nice quick find here, thank goodness, wouldn't like to come through here during the night time. Tftc

Yea, is it a shortcut or not - I also couldn't really understand, Cycling from Rosebank Rd to Glendene.
It was quite dark already, but I managed to find the cache. Thanks, would have never visited this way otherwise, maybe.
Thanks for the cache!

On arrival at GZ had to wait for a couple of young guys to leave the area...not cachers...don't really need to know what they were doing!? Made a quick find after all clear. Thanks
It was overcast and drizzling tonight, and under the tree cover of Copperbeech Walk the GPS was acting very unsure of itself. Between that, and trying to avoid using the torch, the hunt for the cache took a bit longer than it might have. Pleased to finally make the find. Thanks.
Finally found the right tree with the GPS wanting to send me elsewhere. Nice hide. TFTC
Right where gps and clue indicated...covered up a bit better...could be seen quite easily...cheers V.
Soon had the nice wee cache in hand - it was rather exposed so tried to cover well before leaving. t4tc
Out and about today enjoying some caching fun. Parked up and made use of the shortcut to find the hide. Checked a couple of wrong spots before I got the right one. Cheers for the hide!
The silence was broken by noisy intruders. Got the dogs barking but a quick find has us there and gone within moments.
Funny how everything underfoot is so loud when trying to be quiet! Initially looked around the wrong tree but quick find when I moved to the next! Tftc
I really like these caches that take me somewhere I would otherwise never have gone. A nice little scenic walkway. Thanks!
Not easy to be stealthy when everything underfoot crunches, but no one around anyway.

Out caching with urbangypsynz clearing up caches in the area. Very difficult to be stealthy with the noisy undergrowth but thankfully no one around today. I'm not sure if it's a short cut but I must be short sighted as urban spotted the cache in a place I had already looked, but obviously not hard enough!
Pleasantly suprised to be caching in the area today with merlot58. Hard to be stealthy with everything underfoot cracking, no truer words were said. Following other cachers around today but we never actually met.
Vistra and I had a couple of hours, so went out and grabbed a few local ones had had been popping up recently.
Got to GZ and quickly identified the tree and found the cache. TFTC

Arrived at GZ with rebel98, to find we had already been beaten by the "harisree" cashers, lovely to meet you and your lovely children
They were still looking, so with sense of urgency, knowing others would be on the way we dived in with the search. Then FMZ joined the pack, and as I walked to the secret place, the cache was found. Thanks for the hide, surprised at the width of this alleyway.
A bit of a gathering at GZ, with witchegurl next to arrive. Probably a bit cold to be standing around, great catching up with you all, if you are away to Christchurch Mega only a few nights sleep to go, have an awesome time!

Well, what can I say, I saw this cache come in with a heap of others caches as well. I had just got home and put my feet up, I had such a long day working 10 hrs, and I didn't really want to be disturbed. So I sat, I sat and I sat, damn this cache is annoying me! Why hasn't anyone logged an entry yet! Where is everyone? I couldn't resist it, I know the cache had been out over an hour and just 10 mins from home so I bolted. Got to the alleyway concerned and I see a mini event happening. Where's the beer? Where's the chips? it was blowing a gale and I was freezing my a--- off! Everyone else was more dressed than I was. Who do I see here before me: FMZ, Lokky, witchegurl, rustynz and Rebel98. I soon engaged myself in the warm conversation going on and eventually made my way to the cache. I thought no one wanted to go home! So I excused myself due to the cold and left them all to it. Cheers Jason for the cache.
Another new cache in this rather empty part of town. I had wondered about putting a cache around here myself, but had never actually taken a look here. I pulled up to find rebel, rusty and harisree searching for the cache but they had not found it yet. Rusty moved to a different tree and maybe we spotted it at the same time but certainly rusty reached down and picked it up, nice and easy in the end, for a joint {FTF} between the four of us. FTF #1821 TFTC!!!
