Logs
Beware of the locals/ mozzies will eat you alive and theirs a slippery slug residing within the hidey spot.
No joy here today. The fallen tree made it tricky to know where it had been placed originally. Spent 10 minutes looking all around. Should have read more logs as might have helped. The mozzies were into me as soon as I arrived and had a lovely feast so made searching less pleasant than usual. Another time (with repellent).

Visiting family north of Auckland.
We stopped to find caches along the road, pulling up where we considered it safe.
Had to make a stop on the way to have a NZ famous Hokey Pokey ice cream.
Great cammo on this hide. Have given it a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache The-Seers

I had a meeting to go to on Rosebank road but I was running early so what better way to kill time than to grab a local cache or two Normally I have the kids with me so going to playgrounds is no problem, but today I was on my own so I was a little wary about looking suspect. The area was pretty quiet so a quick dash in and the cache was located pretty quickly luckily... nice camo! I quickly signed the log, replaced the cache and dashed back out before I could be spotted, TFTC!
I had to come and pick up some gear for a youth event we were running from a business up on Rosebank Road. However, as I was about half an hour early before my appointment, I decided to use it to try and find a cache or two. That is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. Anyway, after I pulled up and found a park as close as I could, I had to wait for about five minutes as there was a lady in a car near by on a phone call. And as I didn't want to look like some dodgy guy hanging out in a strange place, I decided to wait to see if she would move on. And to my delight she did after a couple of minutes. So then I moved on foot to GZ... and got quite a surprise when I was met at GZ by a couple of very friendly cats who insisted on me patting them. So after I had appeased these two wanna be tigers, I then took my time to find the cache... which didn't take too long at all. So log book signed and cache put back. So thank you The-Seers for taking the time to set up this cache and for bringing me to this cool little park. I really appreciate your efforts. I also think the cats were disappointed that I had to leave... TFTC!
HInt is a wee bit out of date, with several trees and major branches on the ground. More like 1 metre now! Nice placement. Cheers.
Up in Auckland for a family break, managed to find an hour or so to find a few caches, a loop from home to New Lynn, Patiki Road and Te Atatu road back home, as the sun went down. I've forgotten how the mosquitoes attack at this time of night.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Up in Auckland for a few days - not for work this time - main event is daughter #2's graduation ceremony at Auckland Uni tomorrow (Monday). Today was a day to take some time out and go and find a few caches. The weather was pretty variable but it did slowly improve during the time I was out and about. Tricky. TFTC, Biggles.
Searched or a while before spotting the cache nicely tucked away. Nice local park.TFTC
Went for a walk while car was being serviced nearby. Quick find after reading previous logs. TFTC
Was fully prepared to climb the tree, until I read that the cache was no longer up high due to the fallen tree branch. Found was relative ease.
Nice quick park n grab in between the showers. We were not quick enough here and got wet getting back to the car. TFTC
I can definitely see how this cache was a bit more challenging before the tree limb decided to give way. The cache was a quick find, and I wouldn't expect it to last long without it being muggled once the weather turns warmer and dryer despite the excellent camo job. It's just too exposed. TFTC! #1089
Fortunately definitely not 2 1/2 metres off ground anymore. B/c I knew I would be the person to be getting it and I've got a bit of pain at the moment lol. So was glad for fallen limbs.
Working on the area and just before I popped into the customer I thought I would attempt this one and it also meant it carried on our daily streak.
Parked close and wandered to GZ. Looked at the hint and started my search. I thought that I might have been out as I was under tree cover so exited into the clear and came back again to the same place.
And then as I approached from a different angle I spotted something and yeap the cache.
A very good camo but not at the height as suggested by the hint and note that this was part of the tree that had fallen due to the rotten wood.
Still the cache was in good condition.
Streak day 185.... YAY

Should have read logs, was looking to high apparently, shame. Don't know when I will be back
Another good find with Just-Lookin while in the area today.
Thanks for the fun!

This is a nice little park, council could do with mowing the lawn a little more often clearly. Got a bit confused at the GZ as a big rotten limb from a tree has fallen over. Not related to the hide so don't worry about it. Clever hide. Thanks for the cache.
In the area so decided to grab some caches on the way home. Nice and quick find, neighbors cooking a yummy smelling curry! Park nice and quiet. Tftc!
Wonderful find, I was feeling a bit down this morning and after maybe five minutes I found it, great camo! TFTC ❤️
PS there is a loud puggle next door, just gave me a fright although it was fenced in completely
A photo of the cache, too!

Very easily within reach - 0 m above ground! Have placed at base of a tree nearby
Many thanks - another lovely park

Nicely camo cache. Although not 2.5 m above ground. Thanks and greetings from Latvia!
Great camo and easy find but i sure had to reach for this one. Lovely park with playground. TFTC
It seemed like a good afternoon for a bike around Avondale all the better with a few caches to swing past along the way. Great camo and just within reach. TFTC!
Out and about today ticking off a few caches in areas we thought we had done and need to revisit..... Nice quick find here, thought I might be too short but guess not, Tftc, cool camo!

No elephants today. Cool camo.
Aah, the realization hit me when I opened the cache container. Geocacher's worst nightmare - I had left my pen at home before cycling out today. So I tried to inscribe "XX" with a tree leaf and with a key. Not very successful but something. Also took a pic of the logbook.
Thanks for the cache!

We wanted one more cache as we made our way home in the early hours of the morning. This park was within reach of our route, so we made a little detour and walked in to GZ. Spotted the cache in about the third place we looked. Thanks.
My last cache for the evening, I'm off after this to have dinner with a few cachers at Bricklane restaurant. I thought I might need my trusty ladder which I keep in the back of the car but no, not today. I still had to climb up though. I agree with other comments about the park being really nice. It's the trees that make it! I like the camo too, nicely done.
Replaced cache container with a new, better camoed container. Will be a little harder to see.
When I got to right location cache was soon spotted on perch...never been here before, so another Geocaching first for me... ...cheers V.
An early start to the caching day today as a trip had been organised out onto the water. Anyway, parked up and made the short walk to GZ. Took a couple of goes at finding the correct way into the bushes. Once I did the cache was quickly spotted in its Perch. Cheers for the cache placement!
As I was in the Orchard, it would not be neighborly to pass this one up. Was searching in the wrong area for a short while, as the phone display brightness was turned down, visibility was a bit low. The cache was soon spotted and well within reach. TFTC
Nice and quiet on a weekday. Not a muggle in sight. It was a bit of a stretch. TFTC.
Well that took a few mins of searching in the wrong spot before spreading out and finally spotting it tftc Lokky 1 22 October 2015 08:35
The locals are very lucky to have such a pretty little park right on their doorstep. One of the nicer parks in Auckland. Just managed to reach the cache.
An easy grab if you are my height! Finally a cache designed for me instead of looking on the ground!! Tftc
A lovely park with playground and interesting terrain and tree grottos for the kids to play in. I'll have to bring my 2 year old back here. Picked up TB. Cheers
Pretty tricky at first!!!!!
Round and round the trees....!!!
But when you look in correct place it's obvious !
Perfect height ... I could just reach!
Thanks for these new ones....Hope to do more of your ones.....

Out in the area with urbangypsynz, it seems we're following in the footsteps of Vistra, YK83 and now Sp8sm8. I quickly spotted the cache, and with a bit of a stretch was able to get it down to sign the log. Dropped off TB
Out for some unexpected caching in the area with metlot58, she did the nice stretch and retrieved the cache, I did the paperwork and returned to the hidey hole, the easy bit.
Vistra and I had a couple of hours, so went out and grabbed a few local ones had had been popping up recently.
A quick find, which was just as well, as a group of kids came running into GZ trying to decide which tree to climb just as we were replacing, I dont think they even saw us as they were too concerned with their games. TFTC

I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 this afternoon to pick up a few local caches. A quick find at GZ, before a whole heap of kids started playing in the area - thankfully we replaced it before they saw us! TFTC!
Watching all the ftf emails come out while at work, knowing I wasn't finishing till 2am I thought I would aim for 2tf and see if was possible.
Took off from the city got to gz found the park trying to be quiet as while not looking dodgy after 2am with torch in an unknown area.
Thought I'd have problems with the height of this one but grabbed signed and replaced easily.
501 and bonus 2nd to find. Thanks for the cache

Another nice little (FTF) before bed. All quiet at gz and cache spotted after just a minute or so of looking. FTF #1822 TFTC!!!
