I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.

I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.

Best wishes, Lærry

Pprime, Fangsoki and I were in the area to find another archived cache and the plantman #17 cache and as we walked down the stairs Pprime remarked that there was another cache here and he pointed it out as we strolled past.

We completed the other caches and on the return journey we retrieved the cache. It could not be opened on side so we took it back to the car and with the assistance of a couple of pairs of pliers we managed to get it open and Fangsoki and I signed the log. Pprime then returned the cache to where we had found it.

I was out with Crew 153 and Pprime grabbing few caches in the area.

We chose to approach from this angle. I am pretty damn sure Lokipagan and I didn't do anything with stairs to get to our target caches in this area "back in the day". But in the absence of any empirical data (aka "a map showing a path"), we opted for the way Prime knew.

On the way down the dreaded stairs (no, really I love stairs - fantastic things Razz), Pprime remarked there was a cache here.

Spin on an hour or so, as I was "charging" up the stairs (yes - that seems like a perfectly apt verb Razz), Pprime pointed out said cache. Hmmm. Well that's certainly "out and proud" isn't it?

We collected the beast and utility pliers came out. No joy. Back up to the Canyonero to its tool kit - and we soon had the beast undone. We would have given it a bath in CRC/WD40 but alas I didn't have any on me.

We signed the log and Pprime jogged it back to where we found it. A great place for a cache and my thanks to Pprime for pointing it out. And of course, TFTC to CDAH55 for the placement Smile

I visited this cache to carry out maintenance however it was not there. This cache has caused issues regarding rust being close to the sea. Rather than keeping it, I have decided to archive until a suitable container and spot can be identified.

08-Aug-17
Like the other recent finds, found the cache (nicely done btw) but can't access the log. Have taken photo to send to CO. Some WD40 could help.

06-Aug-17
Found on Elina_Maree's birthday weekend. Couldn't get to the log like others recently.

06-Aug-17
Found but couldn't access log. Perhaps someone with a spanner might have more success? Will message cache owner with photo. 6th cache of my 40th birthday girls weekend. Found with Brissy Cat & Annette (muggle friend who is trying out caching for first time with us).

30-Jul-17
Found on the ground and returned to the place after checking with the CO we are logging as found although the log couldnt be signed. Nice sneaky cache. TFTC

30-Jul-17
Cache found on ground returned to the right spot. TFTC

28-Jul-17
I'm logging this as a find but will contact the CO separately as there is an issue with the cache. A clever hide in a lovely beach area. Thanks for placing a cache here.

Found it after a while. Took me some strength to get to the log

I found A Stairway to ??? at Noosa while on holidays there with Geodude. GD

29-Jun-17
I was fortunate enough to be on a holiday and enjoying the sights, sounds, sand, and sunshine of Noosa for a while. So was also able to find some of the local caches that I missed the last time.
We tackled this cache after a walk back up from the beach. Read the hint which was a necessity. Followed the steps up and we soon arrived at gz, after deciding what actually constituted as a step. Had a quick look and this could have been difficult but then I spotted something that I had seen before. A very clever hide.
Signed the log and returned it as found. Found with Smudgeycat DG.
TFTC Cool

30-May-17
I was not sure whether to count just the steps or include the platforms as well.....nevertheless after miscounting the first time and recounting the second time I believe that I was at the correct step (that is including the steps as well as the platform as a step) but still no luck I'll try again on another trip to Noosa

11-May-17
Found this with my amazing geopartner KaleidoscopeCass..

11-May-17
I was hating on the CO on this one when I lost count in the 50's and had to go back and restart!!! My awesome geopartner WallabyTim made it to the GZ first but I made the lucky discovery - woohoo that doesn't happen too often! A favourite point from me for the stunning views Ps still sitting on the steps until my legs don't feel like jelly lol

28-Apr-17
Walked to bottom of stairway then bolted back up counting our way to the CZ. Found a very cleverly camouflaged cache from which the log was extracted with the aid of an improvised tool. TFTC

25-Apr-17
While our friends were bathing in the sea, we took a walk along the beach to find two containers and log one Earthcache. This was the second one. Nice hide!

Having been for a walk on the headland, I was returning to Suzee``` car and made the count. I'd looked at this one on the way down, but it's better to attempt on the return journey. Spotted on approach and then spent a few minutes extracting the log so I could sign it.

Thanks for placing this cache, CDAH55. Found in good condition.
Cool *{Overall find #5222}* Cool

TFTC. We enjoyed the simplicity of it.

After walking from MainBeach, what's another few steps? Searched a bit suspecting I knew what to look for. A quick call the the CO confirmed my thoughts. Found soon after that. Thanks for the hide.

Wednesday. Up the Sunny Coast today, ostensibly to see if we could be first to find on an Earthcache, and of course, to collect some other randoms if circumstances allowed. Along for the ride was CDAH55.

On our way back to the vehicles now after capturing a joint FTF on a nearby earthcache we ascended what seemed to be the 'neverending set of stairs'. There is a cache here! Most of the way up, we arrived at GZ, and a short search later, the clever cache was located. Good thing the CO was with us and had a tool capable of completing the operation, by, were we unprepared today!

This was the 3rd of 3 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***CDAH55***, for showing us this place. Smile

All fixed and good to go.

Out and about with Brother Colin up at Noosa Heads.

We planned to meet up here, and I had no trouble getting parking right up at GZ! I wandered down the stairway to find BC had been searching for a while and no smilie Sad Oh dear. Lots more searching happened, but we didn't get the find. I did a recount of the steps from the bottom (much huffing and puffing!) to confirm the right spot, and then sent a few messages and photos back and forth to the CO, which all showed it was probably missing but he would be by to check later.

This afternoon we got a call to say it was indeed not there, and he allowed us to log it anyway. TFTC, CDAH55.

22-Jan-17
A check on this cache has shown that it has gone missing in action. Will be replaced in due course.

I am staying at an old friends place for the week-end as was our birthday yesterday. Big GrinBig Grin
But it is now time to start making my way home. [^] A few days to do that. Razz
I am meeting up with IolantheK to find a few more caches in the area. [^]
Unfortunately we did not find this one and after contacting the CO we confirmed it is missing. Twisted
One for another day then.

I found it...I think. Couldn't get it open. Too rusty. Great spot!

30-Dec-16
A nice walk from main beach to find a few hides on a holiday w fam. A very warm day but cache in hand after helping a very tired muggle up the last few steps before she collapsed on the hide Smile

29-Nov-16
On the way to Paradise Caves. Made a quick easy find. I think as there are stairs involved, that the d/t rating should be higher. Didn't have pen, but co saw me make the quick find. Blends in well. We had a great time at Paradise Caves, it is a 20 minute walk from here. Google is your friend.

18-Nov-16

Parked at the top then had to walk right down to the bottom to count the steps back up - just to make sure GZ was where I thought it was. After a quick search I spied what I was looking for - great cache blends in perfectly. TFTC CDAH55 Smile

17-Nov-16
After the Noosa event at lunch time, headed off to find some local caches that had eluded me in the past.
Having been here before and had a bit of a grisle with the CO, gave me an extra clue. With that clue in mind an easy find.
All Razz with the cache

Feeling rather confident that 4 pairs or eyes should yield a cache eventually....... GPS was accurate to GZ, confirmed by genina who had visited before. Well looks like a few items have been trialled as potential geocache material. About to give up, when TT found it and relieved we could all go get some lunch. Great cache and location, a fave point !

01-Oct-16
I was out for a walk today and went down this staircase. My gps said there was a cache here, but i was sure i had already found it. I found it and checked the log, and sure enough, there was and entry from me and dingbat12 on 2 9 15. I assume that this one has been reactiveted so I will claim it again. Thanks

30-Sep-16
Out with the family and barbb today, we happened to pass this one and just had to stop for a look. After a bit of searching, it was Miss 12 who made the sneaky find. TFTC CDAH55, I loved the frustration! Smile

28-Sep-16
Found it! 5 people, 5 different steps. Youngest geo-kid got it.

15-Sep-16
I have just performed a maintenance run on some of my caches. All is good with this one. It is exactly where it was first placed when released.

10-Sep-16
No luck for us either, this is a tricky one!

06-Sep-16
Did not find it - think we saw the marks where it should have been? Lost count first time up so did it again - getting too old for this. However nice area Sad

With the day free we set off to grab a few of the more unique caches that were either large, or a little older Smile This one was next up on the list for today so on our way back from grabbing another cache nearby, we made the very short detour to search for this one Smile After an extensive search we eventually spotted the cache and added our name to the logbook [^]

Out and about finding a few caches (hopefully) this morning. My to do list had two previous DNFs to visit and one DNL, so I was expecting some trouble. My caching senses were working full blast today thankfully. Found every one I looked for and only had minor trouble with muggles. Cool

I used to visit this beach lots when I lived here. The hound loved to run and swim. Big Grin I also had a friend who lived on this street, so parking was never an issue back then either. My friend has moved, so I had to leg it to this one today. Wink

I had a quick look for the cache on the way down, but the GPSr was bouncy, so I opted to use the hint. By the time I came back up there was a muggle sitting right at GZ.

I decided to ask him about geocaching. He had never heard of it, but he was intrigued. He even helped look. Cool It did not take long to find once I was in the right spot.

The cache container now opens correctly and the log was replaced.

13-Jun-16
Found it (can send through a photo as proof) but sadly the container has rusted shut and we couldn't get it open. Needs maintenance. Am claiming the find as not our fault we couldn't log properly Smile TNLN TFTC

13-Jun-16
Container is rusted shut Sad

27-Apr-16
I came from the top, walked all the way to the bottom, then most of the way up again, and found nothing. Not sure what I was missing. Maybe next time.

Went back after a hint from the owner and was able to find it! Tftc and thanks for the hint

05-Apr-16
Went looking for this one yesterday with geo daughter JazJazzyJaz, counted 130 steps up from bottom, looked and looke, but alas wasn't meant to be! Will come again.beautiful view :^D

04-Apr-16
What a beautiful spot for a cache, if only i could find it. I searched, then thought i may have miscounted, returned to the bottom and started my count again. Nope, got it right the first time. I thought i may have found the cache but it turns out that particular object was part of the structure, woops better put it back before it collapses. There aren't many little nooks to put a micro here, and i'm pretty sure i searched in all of them Sad

28-Mar-16
Didn't find Gonna go back another time. Didn't see the hint so it was impossible! Thanks though it was awesome.

14-Mar-16
Not too hard a find but forgot extraction tool and couldn't sign the log. Tftc

08-Mar-16
TFTC. Took a while to find after Geo Al counted 20 extra steps. Nice view. Thanks.

21-Feb-16
This cache was found at around 06:35 and brings our overall cache find tally to 9245.

A nice little climb up these stairs after making our way to another cache nearby. I think Shell was over stairs by the time it was over. The find was made quite quickly but retrieving the log took a while longer.

Thanks CDAH55 for the cache.

19-Feb-16
Last one for today.
Arrived at the parking area and took a wander up the hill to the stairs.
There were a few muggles up and down the stairs and I waited out them before proceeding to look.
Could not spot any thing for a while and pulled and poked at different things on the bridge.
Then I spotted something different and went to investigate.
Cant understand how I did not spot that earlier.
Grabbed it and signed the log and then a muggle came down to look at the waves so sat there with it in my hand till he had gone.
Replaced where I found it and headed back down hill to the geomobile and headed home.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks CDAH55 Cool All good with this cache

16-Feb-16
Container has now been repaired and is all good to go.

15-Feb-16
This cache has been Temporarily disabled whilst some maintenance is being carried out on the container.

Should be up and running shortly.

13-Feb-16
Out for some caching with stortigirls. After tackling a nearby Oldest and Finest cache we decided to stop for this one on the way back to the car. We were already drenched to the bone, so a little more rain wouldnt matter. The cache was located after a short search. We both tried, but could not get the "lid" off the container. We took photos to prove our find. We returned the cache to where it was found, before continuing back to the car. TFTC

13-Feb-16
Having tackled a nearby oldest and finest in the pouring rain, we figured we couldn't get any wetter, so why not stop for this cache on the way back to the car? Razz Found after a short hunt with the help of the hunt. Some issues with the container; but an email is about to be sent with pictures to the CO. Tftc CDAH55 Big Grin

After incorrectly logging this yesterday, I had to come and find this today. Found it... Great hide. Used the geo kids to count the steps:)

I searched everywhere I could think of in between surfer dudes going up and down the stairs but couldn't find it. I did find a couple of bolts that have had their nuts removed though. It might be a good idea to be more specified about what the cache is - or, more specifically, what it isn't. Thanks for the hunt

03-Jan-16
I didn't give this the time it needed as the rest of the gang were on a mission- Our walk around the National Park. Searched for only abpout 5-10 minutes but would loved to have had the time to find it. Thanks anyway and cheers from Browngang

27-Dec-15
Very busy spot so lots of waiting for the coast to clear to search. Very good hide though. We didn't have the right extraction tool so took ages to get the log out.

26-Dec-15
tftc,
After 15 minutes we PAF who gave us 2 hints that only confirmed what we had been looking for.
Another couple of minutes and I slipped. In an attempt to stabilize myself I reached for a support and by accident grabbed the cache.
Visited trackables, a favorite from me.

26-Dec-15
Parked in the car park, walked up the hill, then down the stairs to count. Looked, and looked, SMS a friend who gave small hints, still didn't help us, until Wazza9 came up with the container. Great hide. Thanks to CDAH55

22-Nov-15
Arrived at GZ after counting the required amount of steps from the bottom, a quick look soon became a long search and we were getting nowhere. After a bit of help the cache was soon discovered. I like these type of containers. Thanks CDAH55!

21-Nov-15
Geobuddy and I were out again today cleaning up the Noosa Heads/Sunshine map. Our second one of the day and happy to claim the smiley with many thanks from the CO who gave the final nudge

Up, down, back up, back down, over here, under there, stairs, Stairs and even more STAIRS. This cache was one of those caches that when you just look where GZ could be, you cringe.

We had left the GPSrs in the car and were just using a phone. There was quite a bit of bounce and we had several GZs during our hunt for this cache. The phone settled for a bit and gave us a rough area to hunt. After a little stair-dancing, something a little different soon grabbed our attention.

This Geocache was part of planned/unplanned adventure held by Cassow11ry and myself today. We had decided yesterday that if the weather permitted, and we were both free, we might go on a Sunday adventure. After the heavy rain we had all last night, I really did not expect that the weather was going to be favourable when waking this morning.

Luckily, we awoke to find the that the GeoGods were happy with us and perfect Geocaching weather was provided; The clouds were keeping the temperature down, the wind was keeping the humidity at bay and the sun was shaded. So our adventure was all systems go and off we went with no true goal, except to head North.

Nice placement for this type of cache CDAH55. The log was a little damp though being waterproof, it should not cause an issue.

Find #522

Out and about on a mini-caching adventure, MinkosDes and myself headed up north to the glorious Noosa area. After completing a cache nearby and being led in the wrong direction by my lack of navigation/map reading skills, we soon came to the dreaded stairs!

The weather did not help our search today and caused quite a lot of GPS bounce (mind you I was using my phone and not my gps) so I had us both on a mini goose chase.

Lucky for me, having MinkosDes by my side helped in the search as he soon spotted the trusty cache and had the log out to sign.

Thanks for the cache CDAH55.

Geowife spotted this on the way down the stairs, which sure saved some time. Tftc

Big Grin STF!!! Cool

Today I went for a walk through the Nationalpark.
But first I went to this cache. At GZ I didn't find the cache. So I went down to the bottom and up again. Then I was a few steps further than GZ. I had a few looks and then I found the nice little container. Very good!!!
This was my first really nice hidden cache in Australia. I left a FP here!

TFTC!

FTF 1145h log to follow, great view!

12-Oct-15
**FTF** at 1145h. Yay!!
After a work appointment in Bli Bli, I noticed this new one was still unfound so headed north for a little "detour" on the way home...Razz
Parking was at a premium but luckily just grabbed a spot in the carpark and headed off up the hill. Must have looked a bit weird as everyone else was heading straight to the beach. Found the stairway at the top of the road and wandered down.
Awesome views of the ocean and beach and it is beautiful and sunny today. Cool
Stopped where gz should be and had a cursory look around. Not seeing anything obvious, I snuck down under and looked further - still nothing so back up and decided to walk down to the bottom of the stairway and count up according to the hint to narrow down where to look. Back to the same spot again and examined that step very closely. Now it seemed to be shift change time for surfers as heaps started heading up from the beach. I dodged this way and that as the muggles negotiated their long boards around the tight corners on the stairway.
During a short gap, I went down again to where I had looked before and slightly slipping grabbed part of the stairway to steady myself and found I had the cache in hand! Big Grin At this point, another swarm of muggles plodded up the stairs, so I waited for another gap and sat in the shade to check out the log. Being lazy at first, I tried fingers, then tweezers to no avail.....then had to dig deeper in the bag to get to the proper log extraction tool/roller.
The log was then easily removed, and found to be blank! Yay, I'm first here! Exciting! CoolBig Grin
Took a bit more of a wait till the coast was clear to replace. So obvious when you know where it is! Certainly blends in - great hide and location.
