Found this cache this afternoon while walking on the Kelper Track. It was raining when we arrived in Te Anau, but as soon as we got to the trailhead, it stopped!
Thanks for the fun, DOCFiordland!

Found at the coordinates, fairly exposed but still findable. I can't see the date that this cache entry was disabled - I am not sure if the cache has been removed.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 9 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go a drive to the south and east of Te Anau today.
This one is not where the hint states but under the sleeping one next to it.
The Cache Owner needs to make it fully active again.
Cheers for the cache.

Today we're walking a part of the Kepler-Track - of course that part with the caches.
It's a great walk in a beautiful landscape. We could easily find all caches. T4tc

We are in the area for the day so decided to walk a stretch of the Kepler track and grabbed these caches on route.
All found and in good condition

I was taking a break in Te Anau for a couple of days, in between hiking the Rakiura and Kepler Tracks. I spent today doing a few short walks and finding a few caches in the greater Te Anau area. I decided to tackle all these caches around the start of the Kepler Track today, so that I didn't have to look for them while hiking the track in a couple of days time. Made a quick find of the temporary cache here. TFTC!
Found easy during my rest day in Te Anau after returning from the famous Milford trek. It was nice weather today. Few days ago it was around zero degrees celsius, strong wind and it was snowing in Te Anau and today around 20 degrees celsius, sunny and now wind. Pleasure to walk around a to look for a caches. I found today 13 caches, 11 traditional, 1 multi and 1 earth cache. From my country Slovakia is New Zealand distant around 18000 km and the caches found here are my farthers. With such good hint there was no problem to find this cache. Thanks for the cache.
My wife and me walked the Kepler track. Ok, not the while track but only about 10km. This was fun.
Even more fun was the fact that there were some Caches around. So we could follow our hobby while walking this beautiful track.
Thanks to the DOC who Made this possible and allowed/placed caching.
All Caches were easy to find.
Sorry for having the same log for all of them, but I gave FP to those who were really nice.

I had found the glass jar cache a couple of years ago; and on returning to clean up some new caches in and around Fiordland, found the temporary grey taped berocca tube the Otago captain had popped in the disabled hide while they were passing that had some recent logs from visiting cacheri. While it's not a bright gingham pickle jar, it's still in good hide unmolested by muggles. The extraction will be easier from the base rather than trying to reach it from the top of hide. Cache is good to go and might as well be re-activated while waiting for CO to return the pickle jar with the season starting up soon. Dday TFTC___*09 Jan 16 Found #1 Cache soon in hand after pan about. Cute lid, not what I was expecting. Wery dry here today and a few trees had fallen after the strong winds, gods was hoping the hide hadn't succumbed to the deadfall. Cache in good condition. ***Adrenaline Junkie*** 12 pt. TFTC*
Outward bound from the track, and a few caches to keep me entertained along the way. TFTC!!
Arriving early in Te Anau we decided to go on the track. Lovely weather and impressive forest. One dnf but others were easy and in impeccable shape! Thanks to the owner
I had seen this one wasn't activated but on the way back to the car we gave it a try and were pleased to find a box. After reading the logs we know why. Thanks!

WW soon had this one sorted. We passed some fungi on route bursting through the ground. Out caching with Will of the Wisp on our “Round the World in 80 Days” trip to celebrate retirement. Signing logs with our names or initials depending on space. TFTC.
On our journey through Neeseeland we visited many beautiful places,
Again, we could register in the logbook. Thanks for the care and best regards from Germany from the team stierwade

Long Waitangi weekend roadtrip with a couple of friends. Headed from Dunedin to Te Anau (via Gore) then Riverton before finally heading home. Over 700km travelled by car, over 10km by foot and over 30 caches found..... might have left a couple as a thank you to local cachers. We had a great time and saw some cool spots.
We noted this cache was awaiting replacement, and as there is a steady stream of visitors at this time of year, felt it was appropriate to put a temporary cache in place, until DOC can replace it permanently. Accordingly we have placed a silver covered berocca tube in what seemed to be the only suitable hint object, although it was a few metres southeast of the coordinates for us, but GPS accuracy is limited in this area. We trust this meets with the owner's approval, and we have taken the liberty of logging it as a find. TFTC
Found by DOC staff member by Control Gates. Will be placed back in the new year.
Found during a nice walk along the Kepler track. Greetings from The Netherlands
We had a look on the outward walk and again on the way back but couldn't find it. Spot on the co-ordinates we did spot a likely hint item but couldn't find anything inside. Are we going blind?
Day 3 of our south of south NZ caching blitz, being shown the way around by kiwigeoswami and granville86a. No time to walk the whole track but glad to have the caches along this section to introduce us to kepler. Tftc
Found alongside Hevic, silvachief, and jaycie on our Fiordland trip. A great start to the mini Kepler trek we made. Had a sneaking suspicion as to what the container would be - I found this suspicion to be absolutely spot on. Cache was in surprisingly good nick - not a fan of this type of container usually but I did appreciate its decoration. Cheers!
Neat cache. Keppler find #3. Stunning lake views in a rare moment of sunshine. TFTC
Caching was not on the plan today - - cruising Milford Sound was but there was a major dump of snow on the way in in the weekend so plan B it was - - - a walk along the Kepler track. I read out the hint and almost immediately got a response of "found it". TFTC .
Easy find. Good clues/GPS. Cache in good order. Found on my 1st day of walking the Kepler Track. Had great Weather.
TregearP and I walked this path several years ago before we'd started caching. Although we have done the Kelper since, we took the water taxi to Brod Bay and so missed all the early caches on the walk.
Today we had half a day spare before starting the Milford and so took the water taxi again but this time walked back into town grabbing all 8 of the caches on the track.
A stunning autumn afternoon, sunny, warm and no wind. All in good order, TNLNSL, TFTC.

In the afternoon we had a pleasant walk along the Kepler track.
Were pleased to find small caches with big logbooks, not that micro crap.

Only cache at this end we could reach with the loss of daylight given the time wasted on the Jurassic cache we could not find. The lake was lit up beautifully with the lights from town shining across the calm water and the launch was sailing down the lake from the Glow worm caves. Being close to the lake here, the cache was an easy find at the hint place. Thankfully the next one is disabled now after the CO had checked and glad we hadn't wasted any more time searching there if we had reached it. Will return once the other GZ's are up and running. TFTC
On a family touring holiday from the UK with Higster. We are staying nearby so were keen to explore a bit of the Kepler Trail so the caches along the path were perfect. Good hint led to a quick find. Enjoyed listening to the birdsong while we signed the log. Fav point for placing caches on this lovely trail. TFTC
Today I started my two days trip at Kepler-Trek and found this one on my way. Tyftc
On a touring holiday around New Zealand with family JK2. We are staying across the lake so a trip out to the Kepler Trail today to collect a few caches and a good walk. This was our second find on the trail and the hint was spot on cache soon located all in good order cache log signed and cache replaced as found TFTC
Auf einer kleinen Wanderung durch den Wald schnell gefunden.

Today I took the time for some Geocaching on my way from Te Anau to Invercargill. I started by walking a part of the Kepler track and finding some caches along the way. This one I found on the way back, because on the way in some Muggles were lying on the beach. Thanks for hiding!
This was at least easy to find.

Whilst travelling on the South Island of New Zealand we stopped to look for a few caches when time allowed. After a day of rain followed by constant heavy falls at night we weren't expecting to be looking for any in Abel Tasman NP, but it cleared up nicely. Then at the glacier area it likewise was great weather, but in the 22 years since we last in New Zealand they have shrunk a huge distance. After a day of delightful walking to Roby Roy valley we had a short travel day and had time to search for some caches at Wanaka and Queenstown. Both towns are trendy and noisy, but the thing that stunned us the most was the person with what looked like a pusher for kids, but was in fact for dogs and there was one in it.
Doubtful Sound was amazing as was the efficiency of the travel operator especially given the mind boggling logistics of running it. A day on the Kepler brought us pasta number of caches which was a bonus..

After a day of rain, it was good to take a walk alongside the lake. Dropped off a TB.
