I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi DOCFiordland
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Heute ein paar Kilometer auf dem Kepler Track gelaufen. Bei 24 Grad genau richtig hier im dichten Wald.
Leider haben auch wir diese Dose nicht finden können, schade.
Hier ist eine Wartung nötig.

We were three people searching for the cache, and we searched for more than 30 minutes, without finding it. It might still be there somewhere, but we also saw that the last 3 logs were DNFs... So there might be something wrong with the cache?
Many options jumpy gps and little time. We’re sure it’s here somewhere but feels like a game of luck to stumble across it. Thanks anyway doc!
Found with mumandme and madcow2. On our way too start the Kepler track! Amazing so far!! TFTC
Took a little while to find this one but go there in the end - on day 1 of the Kepler track with friends - tftc
Arrived today here in Te Anau in the afternoon we walk a part of the Kepler track

Walked past this one, then had to back track. GPS had us out by around 18m but thanks to the hint, quickly found.
A quick and easy find. Cheers
Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Today we headed to our ultimate destination under blue skies. What an amazing day. It has been almost 30 years since we were last up this way.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Jetzt kann ich zumindest behaupten, dass ich den Kepler Track gelaufen bin. Auch wenn nur ein kurzes Stück, um ein paar Dosen einzusammeln. TFTC
Visiting from the US. Getting a hike and done caches in before heading to Dunedin. Working toward #4000 here in NZ.
A curious Robin was watching us very closely. So cute . Perhaps he brings his friends and dozens of birds sit around the cache and wonder about it . OK ... stupid german tourist fantasies . We are not used to NZ friendly birds. Ours are suspicious and fly away.
Oh yes... besides the Robin there was a nice and easy Geocache.
Thanks for that and greetings from two German geocachers travelling beautiful New Zealand

For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 11 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go for a walk along the Keplar Track initially and its environs. A fave for these on this great walkway with the added bonus of no mountain-bikers.
Not to my rooits,[^]
Cheers for the cache.

Today we're walking a part of the Kepler-Track - of course that part with the caches.
It's a great walk in a beautiful landscape. We could easily find all caches. T4tc

Tftc. We had some time this afternoon. So what about a short piece of the Kettler track? Greetz from The Netherlands
Another nice and easy cache along the Kepler Track. Thanks DOC for the great hiking opportunity here, as well as caching! TFTC
such a Beautiful Adventure this kepler track and thank you so much for give us the Option doing some "Side activities"
I was taking a break in Te Anau for a couple of days, in between hiking the Rakiura and Kepler Tracks. I spent today doing a few short walks and finding a few caches in the greater Te Anau area. I decided to tackle all these caches around the start of the Kepler Track today, so that I didn't have to look for them while hiking the track in a couple of days time. No problems here, TFTC!
Quick find on an evening stroll with a local I was staying with. Awesome short walk. Tftc.
I went to NZ for a 5 week long roadtrip. The nature was just stunning! This geocache showed us again a very nice place. TFTC!
Found easy during my rest day in Te Anau after returning from the famous Milford trek. It was nice weather today. Few days ago it was around zero degrees celsius, strong wind and it was snowing in Te Anau and today around 20 degrees celsius, sunny and now wind. Pleasure to walk around a to look for a caches. I found today 13 caches, 11 traditional, 1 multi and 1 earth cache. From my country Slovakia is New Zealand distant around 18000 km and the caches found here are my farthers. With such good hint there was no problem to find this cache. Thanks for the cache.
Found on second attempt on return route.
GPS was crazy!
The last person who logged this one really
Tucked it away so well we looked on the same spot and passed it at least 3 times.
A recheck and a very careful look for it from another direction revealed something maybe and there it finally was.

My wife and me walked the Kepler track. Ok, not the while track but only about 10km. This was fun.
Even more fun was the fact that there were some Caches around. So we could follow our hobby while walking this beautiful track.
Thanks to the DOC who Made this possible and allowed/placed caching.
All Caches were easy to find.
Sorry for having the same log for all of them, but I gave FP to those who were really nice.

Found instantly, quite lucky after seeing previous logs, nicely tucked away, signed log
No luck here - considering the style of the CO's other hides and that I spent about 30 min searching, this may need to be checked?
Quick find along walking the Keplertrack. Thanks for hiding a couple of caches along the path.

This gave me the most bother , as I started in the wrong hole and things went downhill from there. Got there in the end.TDFTC
Filled in the afternoon waiting for my son to paddle in from Godzone Adventure race so walked the track and found a few caches. Thanks for placing, DOC.
This one gave me grief. Gave GZ a good look but decided to move on & try again on my way back.
Sat for some food at Dock Bay & read over the logs. Hmmm l needed to look harder. Got back to GZ & was in the first place l looked. Very happy about that. TFTC

Found during my trip in New Zealand.
Today, it's my 15th day of my trip.
My travel today will be Manapouri - Doubtful Sound - Te Anau.
Today I woke up early to come for the first hours to do the cruise for Doubtful Sound. In Manapouri, the weather was great. Clear sky and no rain. A great journey for the doubtful sound it announces.
Arrives at near the power station the weather changes, smoggy, a little rain.
Finally, the sky was grey and we have some smog sometime during the cruise.
The fiord was really impressive, the wild area is amazing.
Even if the weather was not really nice, the cruise was great.
After the cruise, I decided to come here to do a part of the Kepler Track.
It was a great hiking in the forest with nice view on the lake.
I've done the different caches from the track.
It took me a few minutes to check some potential places before finally found it in a place I've already search before but not enough.
Thanks for this cache and thanks for discovering this place !

Staying at Lakefront Backpackers. Short day walk to the Kepler track. Greetings from the Netherlands. TFTC. 2 coins out
Long Waitangi weekend roadtrip with a couple of friends. Headed from Dunedin to Te Anau (via Gore) then Riverton before finally heading home. Over 700km travelled by car, over 10km by foot and over 30 caches found..... might have left a couple as a thank you to local cachers. We had a great time and saw some cool spots.
