With the recent opening of the cycle/walkway over the Awatere River, connecting another piece of the Whale Trail, it was time for some placements. Along the way I found the last couple remaining over Redwood Pass. And, I also stopped here, and within a minute, stepping round the glass recycling centre, I found the container. Photo attached, of log, with the last genuine finder showing. Container replaced where I found it, next to the float.

19-Mar-19
Container missing, this spot has unfortunately been plagued by rubbish and isn't ideal for keeping the cache going.

16-Jan-19
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

Bad start to the day. Found stump. No cache.

With barely a start on the Hidden Creatures souvenirs (4/100) and only this weekend free to do it, we set off to Blenheim to see how many we could collect. I didnt think we would get to the World Turtle but was happy with whatever we brought home. Like others before us we followed the geotrail and got caught up looking at the logs and not the actual hint item. Once we exspanded and saw the hint item the cache was quickly spotted. The logstrip is a little damp but writable. Thanks for your effort in placing this cache for everyone elses enjoyment. Smile

Decided to look at this one on the way home after work. Had me "stumped" for a bit, but got there in the end. TFTC

24-Feb-18
Hmmmmm!!! Looks like dumped, rather than stumped with vehicle seats and prunings dumped at the GZ. TFTC!!!

07-Jan-18
Quite a few perfect hiding places here, but finally found the right one. Tftc

17-Dec-17
This one took a bit of looking. When I was the log about a log is not a stump I widened the search and came up trumps. Cheers.

Today was a day spent cruising around Blenheim, waiting for the late ferry to leave. I was so hot today, >30 degrees. The aircon in the car was working overtime.

Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Our plan for the day was to find caches along the main road before it reopens next month. This was a little detour as it was close by. Took a bit of searching in the long grass but GK soon said those magic words. Thanks GH6710

Almost our last find of this outing, cracking Friday afternoon...tftc

25-Jun-16
Last time we came in search of this cache there were guys working on the electrics over the fence so we kept on going. Arrived at GZ and couldn't see a willow in sight - now I know why I guess. Found after carefully picking where I walked to avoid some horrible looking stuff. TFTC #8646

Final cache for trip from seddon!

14-May-16
We had decided on a trip to Seddon today via Redwood Pass, an area new to both of us. This was our first stop on that route and the cache took a little while to find while dodging the remains of an unfortunate sheep. Hazedarus made the find here and soon enough we were on our way again.
Thank you GH6710.

14-May-16
Initially we wondered how far we were going to take looking for this one. Remnants of good hunting, legal or otherwise at GZ does that. Having come some distance we didn't want to leave empty handed. Circling and homing in close to where we didn't want to be I bit the bullet. The find was not so bad after all. Dropped TB. Thank you

Thank you for the hide here.

25-Mar-16
I decided to spend the first half of Easter weekend in Marlborough and second half back in Nelson. Plenty of caches to find along the way. I decided to head south along Redwood Pass with a plan to return north tomorrow via the main highway. This was the first cache I found along here. Looks like another cacher had already been here today too. TFTC, Biggles.

Second day of Chelzea and I doing a weekend cache run through Hanmer to Blenheim through Molesworth Station, an overnight camp and then return along the main highway back to ChCh. A pretty intense weekend with over 120 caches found that most seem to blend together so reluctantly cut and paste logging. Had a great time finding many wonderful caches in a fair few cool spots worthy of the visit. Very few DNF's but will note anything interesting or wrong with individual caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.

[green] It's another one day, and I am back to the SS Waverley. Two days ago I was there looking for the cache and found and signed the visitor's log. Which is not the cache. So today I went back. Pulled the trackables I placed in the visitor's log and found the right cache this time. Alas the trackables didn't fit there. So now I am here to claim a second cache. And what luck! Despite its small size both trackables fit! So I dropped them off.

23-Oct-15
Found with NZDi. While all and sundry are in Christchurch at the NZ Mega Event, NZDi and I are having a little geocaching weekend of our own. Today we travelled the length of the Awatere Valley up as far as the Molesworth Cobb Cottage and picked up all the caches we didn't already have with the exception of three of GH6710's caches up the Mt Altimarloch Road for NZDi. We even managed to score a F T F up the Medway which must 'annoy' Marchwood as he was up there the day before when it was listed.

Tomorrow will go to Nelson with our MTBs and ride around Rabbit Island picking up caches where we can, and on Sunday we will go up the Maitai Valley and see what we can find up there.

After caching out the Awatere Valley as far as the Molesworth Cottage we had a count up and realized NZDi had done 43 caches, I had done 39. This did not sit well with NZDi's even number OCD issue, so we had to find another.

Thanks for providing that extra cache at the end of the day.

Out geocaching with capperz second one for me today!

18-Oct-15
A Sunday morning trip out after watching the first half of ABs versus France and being reassured there will be an AB presence in the semi-finals. I'd arranged to meet up with caching buddy yoon86 and take nightowl19 and Tally the geo-dog along for the trip too. The promised heaved rain then following gale-force winds didn't turn out that way so the conservative park and grab combination of caches along Medway Road and Awatere Valley could have been traded for some walks but ho-hum, next time.
Some wonderful scenery along and through Awatere Valley today and Tape is losing it's white cloak as the days warm up as the year draws on. There was a few dust storms on the way back as the wind strengthened but nothing too serious to bother the geo-mobile. Passed 4600 cache finds to which was an additional r=target for the day. Off to NZ Mega next weekend, my first, so good to get a few more 'local' caches before then.
First up here for this new placement, I'd initially thought it was Willow on Redwood Street but upon checking was glad to find another along this back road. Added a couple of new ones myself today

On such a lovely Saturday, over 5 hrs after publishing, I was doubtful of a ftf, but I got it! I was not really in appropriate caching attire for this, short dress not the best, but I got it, and no one was looking! After my recent trip up the Awatere I noticed no caches along this road, and planned to rectify, I shall add more! Tftc.
