A great afternoon's meetup and caching catchup with my posse - and after lunch we hit a few oldie caches in the area and took a walk out to here to check on this beastie. Yup, exactly as per described in the first place I looked. Easy find, great view, lovely walk, awesome company. Cheers.
Thanks angloj adopted by WallabyWanderers for entertaining me at this location.

I had spent the morning knee deep in mangroves and salt water, filling a barge with marine plastics. When sitting on the boat, returning to dry-ish land, I was reminded that a group of mates were heading to the Wivenhoe area for the afternoon. Say, I wouldn't mind a shower and the drive out to see some fresh water!
For far too long I haven't been out this way - a far cry from the quarterly trip when I was in school. Evidenced by the fact I've never done the walk to the geocaches ex-Cormorant Bay. After checking out the spillway (crikey, how it changed in 2011!), KBreeAhh, Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo, Pprime and I headed over this way. Word (as read on the listing and past logs) was that this geocache might still be in place.
Well, either way, none of us are opposed to a walk (though I was making old man noises, courtesy of my morning of mangrove diving). And it was a lovely jaunt along an easy path. Evidence of bushfires a year-ish ago is around. And as we neared GZ, ponderings were made if it was likely to have been muggled in that time since being archived.
Pprime and I were first on scene to look about, and it took but a moment before he chirped that he'd grabbed a preform from exactly where the hint described. Gee, the slowest in the group hadn't even arrived on scene yet. But, a photo was taken, the logbook signed (all in perfect condition and matching online logs too!) and we lingered a while, overlooking the water below.
So, yeah the geocache is still here. And it doesn't seem to be either on fire, or spreading viruses. Always a win! Thanks for the smiley on this afternoon out west, angloj

Came out this way with a group of people in order to cache. Though my tummy was a little weary after lunch, I pressed on.
Not much to tell about this one other then it was found rather quickly, by Pprime(p) while Captain Terror was looking 10-15 m away.

This afternoon a small group of mates decided to head out to Wivenhoe, with a bakery stop for lunch first, for a spot of caching and just to hang out and catch up a bit.
We had just a few specific caches on our list, and this ended up as our last find of the day.
Parking the car, we enjoyed the nice walk around here to this one, although for some reason Pprime seemed intent on taking us a rather non-conventional route to GZ, until it was pointed out that there was a perfectly good path that started just up near the toilets. Starting from a much more civilised location, we made our way, chatting as we went, and soon arrived at GZ, where Pprime redeemed himself by making a quick find of the cache.
Thanks for the cache angloj and WallabyWanderers.

1MinnieMoo, Pprime, Captain Terror, KbreeAHH ponchomon11, and I all assembled to grab this one.
I had not been in this area before... or even had a clue that it existed. We enjoyed the nice walk in until we reached the lookout. It was Pprime that found the goods for us today.
It was a little surreal that this cache was last found before the Covid pandemic. Just over 18 months ago - but it feels like a million years ago.
I actually enjoyed the lookout itself and took a few snaps.
A great place for a cache. TFTC angloj and WallabyWanderers for the ongoing maintenance

Nice hike to a part of the dam I’ve never explored. Thanks for bringing me out here all is good with the cache.
What a sorry black mess this general area is, due to fire. Such a sad sight to see so much area blackened.
Driving back to Brisbane from Crow's Nest with Seff (seffnjarah) after Rural Safari, and we decided a leg stretch was in order. Surprisingly, Seff hadn't done this one, so we pulled in here and set off along the path to GZ. Once there, the view over the lake was lovely, and there was some interesting geology beneath our feet. Thanks for bringing us to this spot, and TFTC.
On the drive back from the Rural Safari geocaching event in Crows Nest, Dez (JezNDez) and I made a pit stop here on the drive back to Brisbane. I didn't expect a path to lead all the way to GZ so it was a pleasant to find that one did in fact exist. Mind you, even on a winter's day there was a bit of heat reflecting off the ground, so I wouldn't like to be doing the walk on a blazing summer day.
The surprise only increased once we arrived at GZ, finding an outstanding view waiting for us, as well as the cache. After lingering a while to enjoy the outlook, it was time to head back the car and continue the drive home. TFTC

What a beautiful location! Wandered along the track with the COs and found the cache prior to them replacing it with a brand spanking new one. Lucky too, as the old one was full and yukky. Loved this spot and will come back another day. FP for showing me this, thanks angloj and WallabyWanderers!
Visited cache today, removed old nano and replaced it with a new container, now seeking a preform tube. Enjoy the views.
Thanks for the cache!! Difficult to find even with the hint, I share your frustration with micros in the bush, however always such a terrific feeling when you eventually find it!!
TFTC... Lovely spot for a romantic picnic by the waters edge. Thank you for a great view. Yes we took a few selfies but key goal logged. Keep up your great GZ hides.
Out doing the northern end of the BVRT series and called in here on the way home. Searched, searched and searched some more. Eventually MM came up with the goods. Any longer and we may have been locked in for the night. Then that is another story. [:O}
A lovely day out near Somerset making a dent in the BVRT puzzle series
It was late in the day when we rocked up here and, honestly, it took a while to locate the cache. It certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. However watching the sun set over the lake a fine way to round out the day

TFTC. Found with PyriteNinja and kids. Lovely walk down to GZ and sitting silently is amazing.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Lisylou and Bennyboppers). TFTC!
Nice quick find with bennyboppers mnance01 and mnance01 today. Beautiful spot. Tftc
Woohoo! Second find of the day and such a tiny cash!
Great day out with the furry family!

Thanks for the short walk all is good. Tftc There is no TB dropped by me, it was accidentally dropped
This cache was quickly located thanks to the hint. It feels a little further than 600m but thats what sitting in a car for 3 days does to you. I'm headed north for Christmas but since my parents are in town with chemo today I can take my time driving.
As I got to this point the corporate started taking off. Quite a display. Was glad to see it. Thanks for the cache placement. Cache is in good condition.tftc

Heading to Crows Nest for the 2017 Rural Safari event tomorrow, and it's only logical to visit a few new or previously unfound caches along the way. After finding the cache on the dam wall, I wandered over to this spot. It took some hunting to find this tiny cache before taking some pics of the great view.
Thanks for the hunt **angloj**, this find makes #4504. Discover our TB

Grabbed this cache after a day out at Billies Bay. I had looked in the hiding spot before giving up and looking elsewhere, only to re-read the hint and continue my search
Found it, bit stressful to watch my daughter retrieve this as I'm not good with heights. But she was brave and did a boza job.
Tftc and bringing us to this spot :^)

**# 17083** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Another perfect warm Autumn day for a drive around while camped in the area.
Hardly any muggles around and a tiny hide so I almost missed it.
There is a small guardian but he didn't interfere with the extraction.
Thanks for the cache angloj,

Last cache for the day. Think we mostly stumbled across this one by luck, couldn't believe how small it was.

Great walk along a reasonably good trail to this one having taken in Damn Wall on the way. Out with GR33N0 for the day . A really small micro but we easily stumbled across it. TFTC from the UK.

Yummy brekkie at Cormorant Bay Cafe then a stroll thru the bush track to the lookout Perfect way to spend a Thursday morning TFTC
Time to attempt this one as I have the other nearby hides. Parked up at the closest car park to the trail. 680meter walk to gz from here. Nice walk along the trail and soon arrived at the lookout. Disturbed a wallaby on the track. First look failed then found it. Very well covered with tiny rocks and pushed well in. Green nano in a rock. Different then finding black nanos. All good with this one. Will post photos when I get home. TFTC angloj
I had been out hunting roos at Esk. I have driven by this a few times and not had the time, or occasionally the energy to hunt for this one.
I had been out on the bike for a few hours this morning, but it was a relatively short and very easy ride.
It was not a difficult walk to GZ and the cache was soon located with the help of the hint.

Waiting to pick up the lad down the road at Fernvale but as I'm early thought I'd quickly pop in and grab this one. Well, I made this more difficult than necessary as I searched all along the rock face, back and forth, down to the waters edge looking for that suspicious pile of rocks . Hmm? perhaps I should read the description and logs. Ah! a micro. Back to the start and there it is. Thanks angloj
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We had some time to relax this morning, and decided to make our way up to Wivenhoe Dam for brekkie, and once we were done we decided we would give this one a go We headed off from the trailhead, and continued along the dirt track, above the dam wall, until we realised we were way too high for the cache FOr the final 100m we bush bashed our way down to the hiking trail through the open aussie bush, before popping out at the lookout A great spot to sit out here and just watch the world go by, however we realised we still had not found the cache so after a quick search, Kab spotted a likely hiding spot and we soon had the cache in hand We added our name to the logbook, before heading back along the walking trail back to the trailhead [^]

Enjoyed our afternoon stroll along the edge of the water to find this one. Lovely view of this massive water supply. So peaceful here.

Headed out to enjoy the sun before the holidays came to an end. After floating down a nearby river we decided to head to wivenhoe for a decent swim. Stopped off here on our way passed and headed out along the trail to grab this one. Nice easy find after reading the hint. But sheesh micro in the bush!! . TFTC angloj
Out for a late night walk to get this cache.
A bit of search in the dark but found it eventually.
Thanks for the cache.

We are staying at our daughters house nearby and decided that this afternoon would be a nice time to take a wander to this cache. The afternoon was not too hot so the walk was very enjoyable. The water near GZ looked inviting but ever so deep and we hung onto that cache container and log very well, it was never going to come back if we dropped any part of it.
You are forgiven for the nano as we most likely would not have headed to the "Lookout", we don't believe that this excellent trail was in existence when we "Dam Wall" in the middle of 2012.
All is good with the cache and the container.

Slow Puncture, Linden/6 and I have spent a few hours on the bikes today collecting Brother Colin's puzzle cache series in Toogoolawah, and we are now heading home to Brisbane, but of course, there's just a few more we shall gather along the way!
What a glorious spot this is! The water looked so tempting for a swim on such a stinky hot day, but there was a cache to find and air coin back in the cars Loved where the cache was hiding, and a pretty quick find thanks to the hint. TFTC, angloj.

Having found the nearby 'Dam Wall' we weren't leaving without having a crack at this one.
Despite it being a hot day & having already visited 40 caches so far today we rather enjoyed the walk along the shaded trail.
A nice breeze had sprung up which made it even more pleasant &, passing the time with friendly banter, we were soon at GZ.
After admiring the view & the tempting water it wasn't long before Iolanthe turned up the cache.
Made our marks & replaced as found.
Great little spot for a cache.
Well hidden!

Last cache for the day today. A very sneaky hide and the clue was very helpful. I have never made the trip to this dam and this cache brought me to a very lovely spot! We were looking admiringly at the water in the dam and wouldn’t it have been nice to just jump in!! Very tempting indeed.
This was the 43rd of 43 caches found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]angloj[/Blue], for showing us this place.

This my be the smallest cache I've found in the bush. It was crazy hot today when I arrived at GZ so without wasting a nano-second I commenced the search. Thanks to good coordinates and the hint I was soon signing the log. All replaced and time to return to the comforts of the air-conditioned comfort of the Wombat-mobile. TFTC angloj
**FTF** First to find. Can't believe this sat here unfound for so long.... I had been watching it and could watch no longer.... It was time!!!! Arrived at trailhead and quickly spotted where I needed to go and headed off. Well when I got there I could not believe how amazing it looks from this point. Simply stunning. After being greeted by a blank log book I took the time to just sit, yes just sit and enjoy the views, the breeze and the tranquility of it all. I would never have ever come here if you had not placed this cache, so thank you so much. This is the beauty of this game, absolutely love it. A favourite point for bringing me here. Tftc
