Logs
Tracks been changed and a lot of the fire tacks now missing. Couldn’t find cache myself believe it’s been washed away in recent floods
Followed the firetacks trail as far as we could, came to a dead end (river edge) looked high and low in all trees and bushes and couldn’t find another firetack. Advise people do not try this one during wet season.
I tried in the dark and I tried in the daylight. I was submerged up to my knees with sneakers never to be worn again. I didn’t manage to find a container.
This night cache proved to be bit tricker than the other one in town. We had trouble spotting some of the reflectors (maybe missing). Eventually found our way after doubling back. All part of the fun and claimed another smiley
On a dark night we set ourselves this challenge. All started well until we found it hard to find the next tack. A backtrack or 2 or 3 and yay we found the cache. Next challenge was getting back. What way was it? Ummm this way, no that way. Oh water crossing. Eventually we found our way back.
Might need a tack check, or a trim of some tree branches.
Thanks none the less for a good night adventure.

With all this COVID 19 drama everywhere at the moment and us desperate to find a cache, it left us with a couple of night cache options in Northam still to find. After all, both caches hadn’t been found since last year and who was going to be out walking the creek banks at night?
Having previously worked out the starting point, i parked there just after sun disappeared. Pretty sure the 1st and 3rd tack is missing, but with a bit of persistence i managed to find the trail again . Unsure if the tack count was now right, i eventually found the cache after spotting the set of 3 tacks in a tree at GZ.
The cache was not a sistema, but a glass coffee jar (which had a little water inside). The logbook was dry however, so i added our name and emptied the water out before rehiding.

Geo-hubby and I are not fans of night time caching but we enjoyed this outing with iluvtrekking. Thanks Thejman82
Cacher beware, we had a couple of falls in the dark, the weed growth is hiding unseen perils. We had fun though, Thanks to Thejman82 for getting us out of our comfort zone.
Interesting find , met other cachet’s on the track nice way to finish off the weekend w a goes big TFTC
After finishing the race event we decided to grab this night cache. Met some fellow cachers with the same idea. Have had a wonderful weekend at the WAGB in Northam TFTC
Out with Team Outnabout and JAM1511
Met up with LAXA who didn’t have a torch so we joined up and came up trumps.

Outnabout with Team Bastholm and JAM1511 in Northam for WAGB19. Very cold but great fun. Need to invest in a new torch.
After a lovely dinner with Pommie Parkin2, Parkacruz and Kapelula we headed out for the night cache. Although we couldn’t find the first tack even after checking coords we kept going and were able to find the next tacks to get us on track after that it was smooth sailing /walking to the cache. Nice find. Thanks for the adventure and the great night we had.
Just what is this old woman doing out here on a cold dark night? Enjoying an adventure with good friends, that's what! TFTC
Out in Northam for WAGB, a great weekend with many wonderful caches found, thoroughly enjoyed this brilliant cache, a favourite here, thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache TFTC
We had an absolutely fabulous time at the wagb19 event and finding some of the Northam
caches. Thanks for placing this cache Thejman82

Couldn’t locate the fire tacks at WP1, but kept plodding on and finally found one. We were then on our way. Lots of twists and turns here. Found with I C Nothing, PP2 and Parkacruz. Thanks for our first night cache!
This is a very late log sorry. Wonderful night cache - took 2 young muggles with us as they had local knowledge of the bush. Here for WAGB so this was a small group hunt. Thanks so much for placing this. It was my 2nd ever night cache ??
Teamed up with Photo-Play, ullyssia and atCatpacity for our second night cache after the WAGB dinner. It was a fun walk following the firetacks and dodging trip hazards and spider webs, a favourite! Thank you for the cache Thejman82.
Found it. TFTC Thejman82. Out with the usual team of ullyssia and papillon367 but this time joined by atCatpacity. Team work was the success here to get to that great hide. If it wasn't for ullyssia dropping bread crumbs, getting back may have been another problem.
Thank you! In Northam for WAGB. Happy to make the find here with a team of five. We dodged logs, branches and a spider, and enjoyed it all.
Found with the help of Papillon367, ullyssia and Photo-Play. It was good fun trekking around in the dark Thank you! And TFTC Thejman82, a favourite from us for a night we will remember.
Another great night time adventure. I have really enjoyed the effort put into the night time caches - a great end to a wonderful day at WAGB. TFTC
Out checking on my night cache with cbjh1990 and decided to check the other night cache in town (this one), all good here although found the cache back down in the flood zone. Moved it back into position.
Thejman82 I found your cache Dark Reflections thanks for placing this hide for myself and others to find.
Have you logged your will attend for WAGB18? Dunsborough is where it’s all at this year check it out at GC7GXQA October 13th + 14th.
Out on a night run with Barnzy & Cravo. Really enjoy this one!
Thank you Thejman82; hope to see you at next WA Goes BIG Event.

After a great turnout to some night caching fun in Karrakup/Jarrahdale area a couple of weeks back, I put the callout to the community again asking if anyone was interested in heading to Northam to grab the two night multis there and we had a lone taker in Lazarus68.
We carpooled from Cockburn Gateways and managed to collect both multis rather quickly. One of them surprisingly hadn't seen any love for 18 months!!
Thanks for a great night Bristag and theJMan

I have been in contact with the CO with offers of maintenance. He accepted and so i have replaced this cache. Please give him time to submit an owners log
Found the 3 reflector location, but no cache. Could have disappeared during the floods ? Lots of fun following the reflectors. Need different coloured ones leading back lol.
Having a planned wknd away with kyzabra and krabiboy this was a great start to no doubt an adventurous trip. Leaving perth at 4.30 we weren't sure whether we would get two night caches done before sun up. Turns out we got there with ample time and got to really appreciate the cache in the darkness. Hardest part was working out which way to return to the car. Great cache. Tfth
Today was a huge day. 14 hours, 625km, and 27 finds.
And it all started here.
This trip out had been a long time in the planning.
Krabiboy and I had hatched a plan and probably changed it about 10 times. dallyho joined us, final plans were set, and off we went
I love a good night cache and this ticked all the boxes. Plenty of reflectors, good clear instructions, and a straight forward find.
It was drizzling when we Parked up but it stayed off luckily.
A fav for me.
Thejman82 - Kyzabra found your cache Dark Reflections . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Kyzabra and I have had our eyes on this part of the Wheatbelt for a few months. We were joined by Dallyho and today was the day to head out and make a weekend of it.
We left at 4.30am on Friday and headed off to the northern wheatbelt.
We covered over 600km today, clocking up 29 finds, including 5 archived caches.
This was the first for the day, and the reason for the early departure. A very well constructed night cache here, one of the best I have done. Fantastic to see the trail in great condition following some maintenance. A favourite point for your well deserved effort in hiding this cache.
TFTC Thejman82.
Thejman82, I found your cache Dark Reflections on 5/08/2016.
This is my find #2890 and find #1 today.

If I could give this ten favourite points I would. Quite possibly the best cache I've yet come across. So atmospheric at night. Very well done, Thejman82.
We came up to northam specifically to tackle the night caches. Took the wrong direction and headed across to the right track. Didn't mind whilst on the track but a bit spooky at night. Brought the muggle husband along for protection. Firetacks worked a treat but wasn't happy going off track through all the wet, winter weeds. Pooch was having a ball but the rest of us were happy to eventually find the cache. Nice hide. Now, to try and navigate back to the car. Should have left a trail of breadcrumbs. Actually following our inward trail did the trick and before too long and without mishap, we were back at the car. Such a great multi, even though youngest daughter owned to having constant thoughts of some madman leading us to oblivian.lol. Heaps of fun. Tftc and a favourite. ( Now know why we don't geocache at night)
pug002 found it 11.20pm. TFTC Thejman82. We thoroughly enjoyed doing this, our second night one tonight. Took TB Noni The Pony YTZGNX. And Ex tags RajahBrooke. Hope you are feeling better J J.
FTF at 12.34am Saturday. And also my first night cache
It is certainly an interesting walk in the middle of the night!! I would like to return in daylight just to have a better look at all the surroundings.
Only took the FTF trophy, left all other goodies behind for the next person to take the night time trek
TFTH
After signing the log, I thought that I would be sneaky and find a shortcut back to the parking.
There is no shortcut, but I did come close to going for a chilly midnight swim!! :O

Grabbed a pile of kids, torches in hand and headed down,
We had to work out the final co-ords under phone light as the kids had the torches and were running around like crazy. We somehow made our way to the start of the trail and found the first reflector, once the kids worked out how to find them they were off showing us the way
This has been well put together as you cant see the next marker until right near the preceding one. A couple of time we caught up to the kiddies before they found the trail again.
When we finally found the end point we quickly had the cache to hand, the kids had great delight with the swag with most seeing something they wanted, as we started filling it back up a couple of our additions ended up satisfying the other kids, glad we brought a heap of swag with us
Hade a great time with this
Note for players, bring bug spray, we met many of them.
