Today the Lolly Scramble series is my target. I'm with MacPacMum and while I find them she performs any maintenance required. Most are in excellent condition, with some needing fresh logs and baggys, and an odd few that need replacing altogether. It's great to have a power trail where all the caches are themed containers, and each one has had so much time, thought, and effort put into them. Thanks for keeping this trail going over 10 years MPM.Logging with permission from CO. Log book was still able to be signed but cache was found in pieces, and has been archived for this reason.
No luck here today - can see where to stick the lollipop but no container to be found? Recently mowed..
Found it! Thanks for placing - we loved finding all hides in this series!
Half missing cache replaced with a new container. All good to sweeten your trip along South Eyre Rd.
Top is missing..... 6th on this maintenance run...wonder if some sabotage is going on...

The lollipop has lost its top! But the sweet sweet cache contents are still present.
I know that lollipop song! Lollipop lollipop, lolli lolli lolli...
Kia ora! Paldies! +Fav for the song and for hopefully future lollipop maintenance.
Thanks for the cache, MandMCachers!

Looks like some kind person has replaced my cache here. I have a themed replacement to go out but no time to do a lollie trail run at the moment. Hope to get back out there soonish.
Very cool cache, didn't realised it was disabled when we found it but looks like its been replaced, thanks!
I have just made a new cache to replace this one, but still working on a replacement for Blackballs as part of the same series and want to do the run and replace them at the same time. Will probably be a couple of weeks, weather dependent. Thanks for your understanding.
Have to get out to check on this cache but unfortunately won't be for a few weeks.

Taking a short break from work for some caching fun. Had no trouble in finding this one and cache is all good here. Cute containers. TFTC.

Typical. Spend a week down south with the family visiting the outlaws, and ChCh bakes. Get back .. about 40 caches shy of where I want to be for the year, and it rains. I guess I have a jacket... They say you don't have to be mad to Cache, but sometimes it helps. Cheers!
Beeba had done this one before us so I went to log this one alone. Quick find and I tipped some water out of the container. The log was safe and dry.
Headed off to collect the lolly scramble trail on a windy day in spring. I note that the pine trees are covered in pollen which was upsetting my hay fever so I did not collect all the caches in the series. I very much enjoyed the creativity that was put into these hides and all were very much in the theme. TFTC.
I can't believe it but it is seven years since Sidewaze and I had a magnificent day unwrapping so many of these lolly treats along this road. It was a very special day. So here I am on another number collecting exercise. Quick find although the container has been significantly licked and only half of its former glory left. TFTC # 17,520

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... We've been lucky to have great weather, and extended daylight hours have given us more time to cache. Unfortunately, the sun must set each day and it's become a race to squeeze in a few more finds. So, at this late afternoon hour, we chose to knock off the the remaining Lolly Scramble hides... Thanks MandMCachers and TFTC.

A quick find as we scrambled our way along South Eyre Road on a crisp but brilliantly sunny winter's afternoon. We first detached the wrong piece before realising that the container unscrewed around the equator. Another impressive container. TFTH!
Been driving past this visible cache for years. Finally decided to stop and lo and behold it is a cache. Fired up the phone to log it. TFTC
After a big day yesterday collecting caches around the Mt Thomas tracks, we headed out in the car today to clear some roadside caches. We had a pretty successful day with 55 finds and just 2 DNF's. All finds were nice and quick and any specific notes will be mentioned below. Thanks to all CO's for your caches and sorry for copy and paste log but I had no internet at time to make detailed logs.
A nice quick find. tftc

Great day lolly scrambling in the rain with C Boyd. Spotted from across the road. Nice in the rain not to have to spend long hunting.
In Christchurch with abcdf4 for zephyr club convention and tagged along to pick up a few caches. A lot of quick easy finds and tons of parks and grabs. Thanks to the COs.
On holiday in CH/CH for zephyr Car Convention
Weather was great.Up early to get a good day cacheing
Thanks to COs for your placements

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 16 Glentunnel to Waikari 76 caches found. Decided to do this series. I enjoyed the work that has gone into this. With every container I smiled and thought about the memories it brought back. Thank you for the placement

As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble, this cache has been checked and new logbook provided.
Schlotte and I went out for some caching today and this "sweet" trail was just perfect. Thanks for the imaginative containers! We liked it a lot and the weather was just brilliant. It is strange that the last logs were so long ago.

I was *supposed* to head home for a sleep before my night shift, but wasn't remotely tired. So... this was one of five finds on a wee tiki-tour around the area. It was a lovely morning for a drive and a few short walks.
This would be the shortest walk of them all - I parked across the road! It was an easy find, in keeping with the Lolly Scramble series theme. It's been a few years since I did any of them, I must check further out if I've got more to do.

Found this one on the ground, and in pieces. Put back together as best we could and remounted. Wish it luck in the future.
After a big day yesterday, a more restrained effort today. A bit of retail therapy early in the day, and a visit to the market at Riccarton Bush. Then we headed to this area on the way to my sister's business at Mandeville Village shops. A quick diversion down here - a couple of finds we found too tough on the day, but we will be back. First of 12 caches located along South Eyre Road today, last day of Queen’s Birthday Weekend and still dreary and drizzly! Needed to get out of the house to do a few caches. A quick find. #1826. TFTC.
Today I drove to Kaiapoi to find some Geocaches and do a little bit of the powertrail towards Oxford.
