I have been Unleashed Upon the World alone for the afternoon, so I am making it the days mission to hunt down as many Lolly Scramble caches as I can. Caching alone as That Darn Bear already has the majority of this series.Tftc
Took a couple of minutes - had to skip the last one as we didnt pull over in time. Love these containers! TFTC
Today the Lolly Scramble series is my target. I'm with MacPacMum and while I find them she performs any maintenance required. Most are in excellent condition, with some needing fresh logs and baggys, and an odd few that need replacing altogether. It's great to have a power trail where all the caches are themed containers, and each one has had so much time, thought, and effort put into them. Thanks for keeping this trail going over 10 years MPM.Neat cache container! FP for this one.
After my early morning find this morning, I was 13 caches away from getting the Hard achievement in this months Wheel of Challenges. So might as well complete it.
Nice to find another themed container.
TFTC MacPacFamily, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find(s) of 12 today, making this find #3970

I like this one. It reminds of a time when I found themed caches hidden in spots that no one would think would have something there as they drive past. If they only knew! Thanks MandMCachers, have a favourite point.
Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other solved puzzles that we collected as well.
This was our Big Day out plan where we'd planned to get as many caches as we could. Unfortunately we just fell short of our target as we lost track of the exact number of finds. Good preparation and a fantastic team to work with made this an enjoyable and successful day. We'd completed the Fresh Breath, the Smurfs and the new Skelly series. This line up of lollies was our next target caches.
I am a great fan of lollies. This was such a cool little series all with nicely themed hides. Another appropriately hidden cache container and hint. I've watched a lot of Dr Who over the years but didn't remember the lollies appearing on the show. Thanks for the effort to make them all fun

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei on Wednesday avo. Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list.
Today looked like being the best weather for our trip, despite a heavy thunderstorm overnight. We had a Big Day Out planned, with a perhaps optimistic target of finding 300 caches in one day. Working together well as a team, with a driver, a navigator and a jumper, we made good progress, but in the end, the bigger distances between caches, that we hadn't anticipated, meant we ended the day a bit short.
A fun day though certainly, and sincere thanks to the GeoArt & Trail CO's, and others, for placing and then maintaining such large numbers of caches so well. A testament to your dedication to Geocaching was the very low number of DNF's during the day. Apologies for the mostly generic logs, but be assured your efforts were truly appreciated.
Lis found this one in the hint location

Northland's Team Gold (0B80B8, Liz Crew, DaffyNZ) are in Christchurch for a few days collecting all our solved puzzles and other cache types as we drive past. This is our "Big Day Out" to collect as many caches as we can in a day. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks for placing the cache. We are loving every cache we locate that adds to our tally for the day.

Typical. Spend a week down south with the family visiting the outlaws, and ChCh bakes. Get back .. about 40 caches shy of where I want to be for the year, and it rains. I guess I have a jacket... They say you don't have to be mad to Cache, but sometimes it helps. Cheers!
We were a bit worried about the terrain rating which seemed very high for what it was. M found it quickly. Great container and we found a proxy travel bug too. Bonus!
Headed off to collect the lolly scramble trail on a windy day in spring. I note that the pine trees are covered in pollen which was upsetting my hay fever so I did not collect all the caches in the series. I very much enjoyed the creativity that was put into these hides and all were very much in the theme. TFTC.
Actually quite a big baby here so I went back to the car for a TB to drop in. TFTC # 17,521

To be honest, had not heard of this type of lolly before today (yup, must have been living under a rock), anyway - can now say we know what it is and it makes an awesome cache! TFTC

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... We've been lucky to have great weather, and extended daylight hours have given us more time to cache. Unfortunately, the sun must set each day and it's become a race to squeeze in a few more finds. So, at this late afternoon hour, we chose to knock off the the remaining Lolly Scramble hides... Thanks MandMCachers and TFTC.

Wow, that is a big baby. V find super quickly. Was wet inside so shook all the water out.
Quickly found as we scrambled our way along South Eyre Road. This one had a totally soggy log. We had our maintenance bag along and replaced the log, with a new inner container to keep it dry. TFTC!
After a big day yesterday collecting caches around the Mt Thomas tracks, we headed out in the car today to clear some roadside caches. We had a pretty successful day with 55 finds and just 2 DNF's. All finds were nice and quick and any specific notes will be mentioned below. Thanks to all CO's for your caches and sorry for copy and paste log but I had no internet at time to make detailed logs.

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 16 Glentunnel to Waikari 76 caches found. Decided to do this series. I enjoyed the work that has gone into this. With every container I smiled and thought about the memories it brought back. Thank you for the placement

As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble, this cache has been checked and all good to go.
Took a little bushwhacking until we found the right entry point, then it was easy. Schlotte and I went out for some caching today and this "sweet" trail was just perfect. Thanks for the imaginative containers! We liked it a lot and the weather was just brilliant. It is strange that the last logs were so long ago.

I was totally overthinking this one, and walked around it a few times before I finally located it!! TFTC!!
Found by Jo after I missed it while almost standing on it.
After a big day yesterday, a more restrained effort today. A bit of retail therapy early in the day, and a visit to the market at Riccarton Bush. Then we headed to this area on the way to my sister's business at Mandeville Village shops. A quick diversion down here - a couple of finds we found too tough on the day, but we will be back. One of 12 caches located along South Eyre Road today, last day of Queen’s Birthday Weekend and still dreary and drizzly! Needed to get out of the house to do a few caches. Took a moment or two to find and, yes, it is a big one! #1827. TFTC.
Actually this was a very quick find though doing it on a sunny dry day would have been a better idea! Thanks for the hide. It's in good condition. #2858
Today I drove to Kaiapoi to find some Geocaches and do a little bit of the powertrail towards Oxford.
Uff, that took long. At first I parked wrong (in front of a driveway. Of course someone came, so I had to drive backwards on the grass). And afterwards I had a lllllooooonnnnnggggg search.

My "Stitch & Bitch" embroidery group "meeting" was nearby at Silverstream so I came out early to find a few caches.

Arrived into the S.I today. Our 1st stop was to pick up our Juicy van & then hit the road towards the westcoast.
We chose the area of the lolly scramble to take us towards our destination. We stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
We found such a variety of containers along this route, a nice war to start our trip.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.

TFTC - Quickly found while up here today with some spare time before I catch up with 2 grand children
TFTC and maintaining these caches. Great to be able to come up here and grab a couple of caches. Really enjoyed this series. What fun - and it would be a great trail for the grandkids to join me on.

This is my 2nd container like this I have found in Canterbury, I have never seen them before. I am amazed at how such bright containers that are so easy to find have not been ruined by people who don't get what we do. This is probably my most enjoyable day caching yet, I really really enjoyed finding such an array of containers, many of which I have never seen before. I found myself imagining what I might find at the next stop. This is definately a trail I will bring my grandkids to if I ever get to bring them to CHCH. Thanks so much for the enjoyment I have had today
Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.Found on a bike ride along the Eyre road on a cold day in winter. Gosh there's lots of traffic. This one had me fooled for a while looking at the black thing on the tree. But this is a big one. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced.
Had no luck with this one but didn't spend alot of time as there was people working in the paddock right in front of me
#3596. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). Nice quick find here. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache. What an awesome cache container. Wonder where you sourced that one from?
