A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 16 Glentunnel to Waikari 76 caches found. Decided to do this series. I enjoyed the work that has gone into this. With every container I smiled and thought about the memories it brought back. Thank you for the placement

As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble, this cache has been reinstated. Unfortunately the curiously strong mint container wasn't up to the strong weather elements and a more robust version has been put in place.
Second of the day, grabbed in between traffic, thanks M & Ms.
A few park and grabs in the Cust general area today before getting on to more important things. Thanks for the caches to all COs.

I was in Rangiora for a WoF for the geomobile today (stalking our mechanic who is now working there).
I figured while I was out this way I'd try to find a few caches, including some I'd seen get archived but it appeared the containers were left as geo-trash.
This cache wasn't one of the archived ones, by this stage I'd done all those and was just caching my way home.
After a DNF up the road I was glad to end on a find. This was an easy find before I had to punch off and return to base.

Nice quick find. Lovely day after a cold start. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent aka TB (prev known as BJ25). Find # 1762
The container is beyond repair. Looks like it was driven over. The log was in a rusty holey plastic bag but totally sodden. I have left it in place but put a bagged camo'ed Eclipse there also with a waterproof log. Photo available of Altoid rusty one. Tftc. #2865

I did a number of caches in this series a few years ago but for some unexplicable reason about half didn't get loaded into my GPS. User error no doubt. Now I have tried to complete the series but I'm sure I will have stlill missed some. Thanks for a fun collection of containers. This one was broken and full of earwigs but the logbook was still dry.

Arrived into the S.I today. Our 1st stop was to pick up our Juicy van & then hit the road towards the westcoast.
We chose the area of the lolly scramble to take us towards our destination. We stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
We found such a variety of containers along this route, a nice war to start our trip.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.

TFTC - Quickly found while up here today with some spare time before I catch up with 2 grand children
TFTC and maintaining these caches. Great to be able to come up here and grab a couple of caches. Really enjoyed this series. What fun - and it would be a great trail for the grandkids to join me on.

Great old tin that the spiders obviously enjoy too. This is probably my most enjoyable day caching yet, I really really enjoyed finding such an array of containers, many of which I have never seen before. I found myself imagining what I might find at the next stop. This is definately a trail I will bring my grandkids to if I ever get to bring them to CHCH. Thanks so much for the enjoyment I have had today
I wanted to get out of the house and round up a few caches nearby in the sunny afternoon, and I had a great time! TFTC!!
Out with Pinksouth, signed log PSWZ
Looks as if somebody has been too strong for the container, needs renewing

In Christchurch for a few days, a good day to find some more caches along this road. Thanks MandMCachers for the cache.
Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced.
I had a few hours to spare after completing my work commitments on a day trip to Canterbury. I decided to head off in this direction to see what I could find. Although the weather was a bit grim, I made the best of it and had a nice time out in the countryside. I have found some of these caches on previous visits to the region. Time to find a few more today. This was the first one I came to and as noted by previous loggers, the container is not in a great state. Managed to sign the log today though. TFTC, Biggles.
Container is almost past its used by date. Is rusty, bent, and not overly waterproof now. May need to be replaced before it gets completely destroyed and the logbook suffers. Tftc
#3605. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). The cache container has seen better days. I grabbed another plastic bag to help keep the logbook dry. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Long trip, but surprisingly we arrived there very tired, almost two days and two nights without sleep, but it took just 24 hours we got used to the new day.
Having Been to Akaroa and Kaukoura, and trail AHHH FRESH, today we decide to make a part of the trail from Kaiapoi to Oxford, we will find many cache, not the other will find, before we left we had decided to devote no more than three minutes for each cache, if it was not passed over it, some need maintenance, beautiful landscape and few cars on the course.
Thank you for suggesting this trail
Greetings from Italy

On a day that started with bright sunshine, then some hail and finally drizzle, a day spent in the Christchurch area doing the lolly scramble series and some others. TFTC.
After the CITO event at Woodend Beach, we took the scenic route back to Christchurch to find a cache or three .
After finding a few Fruit and Veges, we were back scrambling for lollies again. Cache wasn't quite where we were expecting (I suspect that the invisible force is no longer applicable) but there weren't many other places to hide it. TFTC.

Cache for the day time.
Had been a busy day with reno's, but I was keen to make it out and find a cache before dark so hubby could continue with some of the pulling stuff out things he was doing rather than getting dragged along to find a cache because I'm mildly scared of the dark!!
Another nice and easy one - I swear i've cleared this trail out about 5 times!!
Consec caching day # 1293

TFTC. After a bit of jet boating on the Waimak I still had a couple of hours of sunlight and spent about 1 minute wondering what to do next. Cache of course.
So I decided to tidy up a few lollies.
Thanks MandMCachers for placing the cache and series for our entertainment.

7328. Out on a geocaching adventure around the Rangiora/Oxford area on a beautiful Canterbury day. Performed maintenance on 14 of our caches, found 16 other caches and had 1 DNF in travelling about 170km. This was cache find number four for the day. We absolutely love this series! Historic container. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
We are having a few days in Chch visiting family and of course finding some caches as well. After a couple of days SW of the city today we headed NW and as well as most of the Lolly Scramble trail we found several others in and around the areas nearby.A great variety of containers and hides made it a very enjoyable day. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.Thank you to all the CO's for making these 59 finds possible today.
It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. On our way home again and trying to find as many caches as pos. In the end they made us stay another night in the area Thank you MandMCachers
We had a family outing to get to in town and this was a quick driveby on the way there. A chocolate easter egg was the reward for the first to spot. Thanks for yet another cache.
Decided that on my last day of my holiday I'd do a blitz in the area before I fly home tomorrow, now a very tired bunny!
what a long (straight) road that is. followed the one or other series... nice caches. All easy to find and spot on. very creative and themed containers. loving it. thanks from Austria
Last day of our holiday - thought we would see about cleaning up one area of the massive Christchurch geocaching play ground. T4tc
Last day in ChCh for Pagenz and myself so thought we would play the numbers game today but doing the lolly trail and a few others added into the mix. TFTC
A nice quick find today, in the drizzle. Cheers
Kiwi Moose was able to arrange a day pass, so we took the opportunity to go travel to North of the Waimak to do some treasure hunting. Had a great day, signed most logs KM+KR or vice versa. 8am to 10pm, a long day.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

Could see some cars up in the distance at the river but far enough away not to be any bother. TFTC.
Wending our way home after Christmas in Hanmer Springs with most of the family so thought we'd take a slight detour and try and collect the rest of the series. Didn't do too badly by the end TFTC
Out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG on this lovely Summers' evening. We decided to head out and collect some smurfs and grab what we can on the way. After mopping up nearly all of the smurfs (only one left for me). We changed plan and headed home via South Eyre Road. Quick find on this one.
Thanks for the cache MandMCachers.

Really enjoyed this series of lolly scramble caches. Went out with injeanious, we had every sort of weather, sun, hail, thunder and lightening! Thanks for the cache!
What to do with a free Sunday? Go geocaching! We decided to do the Lolly Scramble trail today and we had plenty of fun doing it. We even had a couple of bags of lollies along the way. It was a lovely day to start off with but it soon turned to hail, so we did a bit of dashing around. Another nice and easy find. Tftc!
Cycled out from Kaiapoi this morning and found this cache lying on the ground out in the open. As I coundn't find any metal in the area suitable for the invisible force to attach to (3 of the what had once been glued to the rear of the container were missing), I moved the container to where I think GZ was and covered it with stones. Can't say that I have ever tried those Curiously Strong Mints - the name suggests that they may have been for another orifice. TFTC
On our way back from Oxford area where we celebrated Chelzea's mothers birthday we had to stop for at least one cache and this was the one. Took a few minutes before hint clicked (thanks to Chelzea) as i had something completely different in mind and was searching a little bit away from the eventual find. Seems as if just as we are about to clean up the m&m's a few more get placed.
