no had several looks around the surrounding trees but dicided to dig to china in the place we thought it was to tgawookie's amusment. no doggie style doesn't always get the result you are after
we think it may have been removed or we just didn't dig deep down to find it.
if you could check it and get back to us that would be great thanks

GPS sent us in the right direction. Found the Tomo as described, even found the feathery remains of the bird. But could not find the cache, even after Rick-A-Mortis did his rabbit impression and dug his way to China.
I hope we were just no good, but I think it might have gone AWOL. Could someone please check on it for us.
Thanks

A wet day in Hamilton. Not many people at the lake though so thought this would be easy.
A muddy scramble under the trees with a couple of likely holes.
I did not find the actual cache but I did find the geocache info sheet (well sodden by now) and a small pencil so it look like it has been plundered.
Reading the other entries confirms this.

Second of the day. This one a little harder than the first. Still great fun.
Very nice area GPS took us straight to it A good hiding place. On seeing the bird feathers mentioned by a previous cacher I knew that I was on track.
Took beads and put in tape measure.
Thanks

Decided to check this one on our way home north Rico Racoon loved chasing the ducks so much he decided to stay awhile GPS was about 5 meters out new what a tomo was so found it easy enough, whats left of some unfortunate bird at the entrance loved the park must come down spend a week in Hamilton one day
Following on from Taniwha

This was the fifth find of the day.
Knew what Roto was, wasn't too sure about Tomo. Thought of Waitomo, and drew the obvious conclusion. No obvious Tomo's to be found (I was in the middle of a grassy field).
Called a friend for help, who wasn't sure about Tomo either, but thought it was the same as I did.
Eventually found it, about 20 meters away from where I expected it to be. Just outside a small tomo.
In: Blue baloon.
Out: Mini choccy egg for brunch.
On to Stumped again! - http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?pf=&ID=48243

Wow, our GPS was going all over the place despite having 8 satelites. After coaxing our little GPS to simmer down, we zoned in right on the cache, using our torch to locate the cache in the fading light. It appears that some large animal has devoured an unfortunate bird right in front of the cache hiding spot. No bird, but lots of feathers. Nice to see the lake there. In: Tahitian shell necklace, Out: Rhythm-Egg (which was shaken all the way back to the car.)
I always thought Rotoroa was an Island behind Waiheke where the Salvation Army treated alcoholics. Till today that is.
Found this, our fifth today, just before dusk on a brilliant clear winter's day.
The GPS was literally jumping all over the place and so I used the clues and soon found the cache.
Out a small elephant.
In some tiny butterflies.

a nice afternoon walk (and slide) in the park with my partner and her parents.
Started looking about 50m south of cache, but once I got a good lock on we soon homed in and found it. Approaching it from the top of the slope, my partner and her mother were a bit eager and ended up sliding down the slightly muddy bank, so I backtracked and came down a less adventurous incline to tackle it from the bottom.
In: A Mt Egmont/Taranaki keyring
Out: the Hairy Little Dwarf token, awarded to my partner's parents in the hope that they will take up geocaching themselves

Came in from the lower path - relatively quick find. Had much fun watching Gogranny sliding down the bank. Took nothing, left nothing.
First find - came in from lower path. Took coin left something. Left seeing Go Granny sliding out of hole.
Be very sure of your position before attempting to reach into the hole for this cache - otherwise you will find yourself sliding very gently but definitely backwards down the slope (much to the hilarity of others in the group!). Left pack of coloured pencils, took nothing but memories.
Starting to get dark, good to see Lake and gardens again in autumn colours. In elephant out pen
No problems with being observed by curious GeoMuggles whilst finding this one at 1:30 in the morning! GPS took me straight there using the Ruakiwi tank as a start point. Nothing out, left a Dwarf Geocache token. Sat for a while in the dark listening to the early morning sounds of the city (such things are a novelty to a country mouse then off into the night - Dwarves seem to cache best in the dark!
Quick trip to nab Zeebloo the travel bug who was left over the weekend. Left a gold coin.

Found my first cache during a cold and windy lunchtime expedition. No one around, which was lucky, because ended up having to search for a while.
Left a pen and some memory and took the Twix bar (very nice thanks Nudge!!)
