Arrived in NZ as the day was officially beginning and overnighted with my friend who had business here so took the opportunity to grab a nearby cache and drop a TB wanting to come to NZ It has been travelling with me since the Mega in Queanbeyan. TFTC
A quick snag and tag here. Cheers. Now back to Toby - who is just over there a couple of hundred meters outside the plumbing store. Time to park up Jill for a while.
Its Thursday - day two - Rangiora - Lyttleton today. K2R cycle trail in our sights today. We drop of Toby in Southbrook and leave Zara at Kaiapoi to await our return. Its peddle power with Jill today along this great cycle track
Its Waitangi Day - day one of a five day weekend exploring the amazing Canterbury, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack and Jill. Two days Rangiora, a day in Lyttleton and 2 days in Banks Peninsula. I got call from The Seagnoid, hes taking a long weekend. Lets go to the West Coast! Lets Go!! but maybe not the West Coast - rain on the way. So lets go to Canterbury. We leave for Christchurch Tuesday evening after picking up The Seagnoid after work. We make camp for the night at Amberly. Today its off to Rangiora for a cycle trip.

Interesting little stream running through town here. I especially like the little dockway that PaknSave have.
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). Three days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.

Out on an early morning mission to find a few locals before heading further. Quick find in spite of lack of reasonable light. TFTC!!

After a successful find over at the Twin Jetties I thought a rainy day like today was just the day that might suit this find too. I think that was a good choice because anyone around was ruching to get to the shelter of the store or their vehicle so absolutely focused on that and not some random person scrummaging around in the periphery. On a business trip to Rangiora. This one was near to the motel. Hint helped to narrow the search area. TFTC
Arrived in town. Checked into the motel and turned the GPS on. Cool two caches within 170M.
We walked across the road to find this one first. 5:30pm so it was a nice quiet car park.
A quick find and sign. Surprised that the inside of the container is a bit damp. I would have thought that this type of container would have been waterproof.

A nice quick find. Lots of cars parked nearby but no one in them so I had a good screen from prying eyes. TFTC.
We seem to be here almost every week recently but didn't realise there was a cache here until today. Left Piggy TB to travel the world. TFTC
Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced.
Great find, exchange unicorn bead design for duck sticker. First exchange.
I was of no interest to anyone despite the car park being quite busy. Dropped off TB. Thanks for the cache, DOC.
A mega hide, nice day so wandering around finding a few caches. Had to beware of muggles here but felt we were sneaky enough! TFTC
Driving back to my parents from a day out touring the countryside and grabbing a couple of caches. The local was closed which meant this was a fairly easy find.
TFTC DOCRangiora, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find of 3 today, making this find #1374

TFTC SL Easy find. Ntnl. Quick cache while doing a bit of poking around in Rangiora.
Jess.daphne and I were on a mad dash mission to get 9 caches before the CITO event. We decided to start with this one since the Geocaching Challenge ends today. I made a very quick find at GZ and took a pic before heading off to grab the next cache. Tftc and the sticker!
Out with injeanious today to grab a few caches around rangiora before heading to the CITO event in wooden. This was our first cache of the day and an easy find. Tftc!
Happy to find this one today, and on our way back from a Conservation Week planting effort at Silverstream reserve no less.
CO - you say there were 3 torches/tags, but ours was the first name on the new log and only 2 torches to be seen. Still plenty of stickers though, a great hit with the little cachers as always,

Put my ring on that made me invisible and scored this cache. A quick find. logged and replaced with no issues. Nice to see a partnership to get people hunting and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you for bringing me to this place and placing this cache from Mr Cuddly Brick , cache 1347 on this mighty day the 22 July 2016 Mr Cuddly Bricks You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCspYYJI5ZIvUE9ncq1_rpYw
In the region for a few days for work but with a bit of spare time to go out caching. No problems finding this cache, then I popped inside for a coffee and some afternoon tea. TFTC, Biggles.
I was able to park right next to it, and this time with no one looking my way and the sprinklers off it was a quick find. TFTC (2901)
After checking in to my Motel, and decided I might as well look for few more while going to get curry for dinner. Cheers and TFTC
This is the last weekend we are staying in Rangiora before moving back to Christchurch into more permanent accommodation, so we thought we'd try to make inroads into the unfound Kaiapoi caches while we are north of the Waimak. After weeks of warm autumn weather, the cold wind today was a little bit of a shock so we decided to pull the plug earlier than normal and head back to Rangiora for a well deserved cup of coffee.
Not many DOC caches we have found have been park and grabs, but this one was the ultimate one as we got the nearest park to it (which was good because it concealed StreetWalker from view). It didn't take long to winkle it out of its hiding place. Good to get an easy one for the last cache of the day. TFTC.

#12338. We were keen to get home have our afternoon coffee, and were pleased this was a quick park and grab. TFTC.
7338. Out on a geocaching adventure around the Rangiora/Oxford area on a beautiful Canterbury day. Performed maintenance on 14 of our caches, found 16 other caches and had 1 DNF in travelling about 170km. This was cache find number fourteen for the day. Found immediately after parking - could almost reach it from the car! Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
