Gone, not replacing.

Hi

It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,

Regards,
TheCur8or

Looked for about 15 mins. 5 did not finds. This needs checking

09-Feb-17
GPS took us to a likely area and we got the distance down to 2m. After looking for about 10 minutes we read the hint. That was no help at all!! There were hundreds of synk but absolutely no gbvgbv anywhere in sight!!! In the end we gave up and headed back to town! Rodney and Iris.

04-Jan-17
Searched for 1/2 hour on a cold wet day. No luck. Noted previous comments on validity of co-ords and hint, and also noticed recent activity around the area so decided to leave. Would have loved to have found it Sad

02-Oct-16
The curse of the 1/1 cache strikes again. Our GPSrs took us across the tributary which was definitely wheelchair inaccessible, but we searched there anyway. Noted the previous log mentioned the poor co-ordinates and inappropriate hint, so wonder if it relates to the previous hide.
Had a bit of a poke around, but flax hides (if it is indeed hidden in a flax) rate amongst my least favs, so we soon called off the search.

02-Oct-16
Gave it a good go, but had no joy.

23-Sep-16
Had the afternoon off to prepare for a birthday party on Saturday so called in and grabbed this one on the way. Took some time to locate as the coordinates weren't too flash and the hint was not right. Eventually noticed something out of place and stumbled over it. Signed and returned where I found it. Thanks for the cache.

We went to plunder the cache. We left the torch for some else. Took the photo and went on our way. A good hide.

Dropped off tb on way home from work. Taking little miss tomorrow for photo if weather improves.

Hi, I'm with a crew doing maintenance on this creek. We've laid woven weedmat up both sides of this creek, around the plants. I haven't come across this cache yet, and I've been very personal with all the plants Wink I'll check for it tomorrow, and update this post.

Found a gap between some houses and were able to quickly stroll to GZ. Cheers and thanks.

Kiwi Moose was able to arrange a day pass, so we took the opportunity to go travel to North of the Waimak to do some treasure hunting. Had a great day, signed most logs KM+KR or vice versa. 8am to 10pm, a long day.

Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

First cache of my trip to see parents, the weather over this xmas break has been awesome.

Out and about at night grabbing a few caches. Approached this one from an interesting angle and on getting closer thought that I had got a stream between the cache and me....on waving the torch around I thankfully saw I could walk around the end and make a quick find and sign! Sweet.
Awesome orange moonrise as I made the find and sign....

Needed to get a cache to keep my streak going. Today is also my only day in November with only 4 finds on the calendar, so I decided to see if I could find two.

Had been a busy day, and there was still much to be done around the house - plus brother was to be moving in with us too tomorrow, and I had no groceries left in the pantry almost!

After finding one, and before pak n save, decided to find this one also.

Got a nice easy park, and took the short stroll on over.

Freaked out a little when I read the hint, but surely, it was still a pretty easy find!! Yay!! Smile

Consec caching day #1098

"Well I've got one DoC Challenge cache, I might as well get another" I thought. Here I am, eight caches later, logging them all!
Four of eight and I had to lurk to out wait a K9 walker. I knew exactly where the cache was, just couldn't go for it until she was gone. Soon had it logged and put back, then it was off to Pegasus!

Once the day warmed up a little I thought I had better go for a training(?) ride in sort of preparation for a MTB race I have entered next Friday.. So I 'dwardled' my way around a few local roads and ended up here in Rangiora. Funny that!Big Grin Gee, it is amazing all the new developements that have sprung up around our local towns. Thank you DOC and Visit Waimakariri for placing this cache and showing me a new reserve and pathway. This is my 2nd of your caches that I have found today.

This was the eleventh day of my fifteen day trip to go to the Christchurch Mega. NosyNel, BBear44, Gracie7 + Mum and I found this cache together. TFTC.

25-Oct-15
Of all the places I've travelled in New Zealand, North Canterbury is definitely a favourite, and I would always find myself returning to what has become my home away from home, Rangiora. So imagine my delight when the 2015 NZ Mega was announced for Kaiapoi! Registration was bought, flights were booked, travel buddies were found, and catscatscats22 and Gaz'n'Kab were set.

With just over a week here, there was so much we wanted to do in such a short amount of time. Thankfully, my Australian comrades were very much used to driving long distances, so the idea of driving 4 1/2 hours each way to Dunedin and back the same day wasn't out of the question. And when that trip includes geocaching, my first ever wherigo, castles, pukekos, burgers, getting shouted at by crazy ladies, eating takeaway in a New World carpark and really, really steephills, I think we can all say it was worth it.

The Mega itself was great, giving me a chance to catch up with familiar faces from both Australia and New Zealand, as well as picking up some great caches in the area. We were joined by two of the younger GHIJKGardner lot for an attempt at the Geobingo, which took us to some fantastic places, and me to some very familiar ones!

Another day trip, this time to Akaroa, had us meeting with a friendly cat in a fish and chips shop, lots of sheep, pukekos, very sudden changes in weather, and fantastic views. Throw in another trip to Hanmer Springs, catching up with family, a very wet walk through a forest, pukekos, a 12 hour delayed flight, $8 coffee voucher compensation, and more pukekos, and you've got a fantastic trip with fantastic people. Until next time, New Zealand!

Thanks for helping make this trip, DOCRangiora Very Happy

25-Oct-15
We headed over to New Zealand for a trip around the South Island, to visit the NZ Mega 2015 and Christchurch, and to explore more of this beautiful country. We were joined by catscatscats22 who had spent some time in the area before, and made for great company Smile This trip was full of everything, we explored Christchurch, Hanmer Springs, Dunedin, and Akaroa all whilst managing to find a heap of caches along the way Big Grin This one was next up for us today, so we pulled up in Watkins Dr, and after a quick search of the area and we soon had the cache in hand and added our names to the logbook [^]

Today was a stamp collection day. Mycro Man and the fairy half decided we would do all the caches that had stamps in them. Total round trip of 260km approximately and a few of them had missing / stolen stamps. Mycro Man really enjoyed finding the caches and stamping the stamps. There were a number of really nice caches and we interspersed a few of the caches with high favourites amongst the list. Thanks for all the caches.

Out on a MEGA adventure with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80 not present this evening, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) lots of fun with a great mix of cache hides and cache containers. We decided after the Market Event that we would try and complete all of the stamp caches tonight. We nearly succeeded with all but 2 located and we returned to camp sometime around 5am. TFTC.

Ah such a shame when work interferes with getting a FTF! Thanks for the cache in this lonely spot.

FTF @ 10.42am
Got the message on my way to the farm to pick up the truck to go get hay for the horses and added it to my watchlist. With all the others i was hoping no one would get straight to this one.
I had to choose 1 of the many published caches to go to otherwise i would be late. Haylee and I choose this one.
Parked up and the builders looked at us funny lol but they soon gave up watching us. Found it and we were both happy to get a FTF
Rushed back to the truck to go get the hay. We were 15mins late getting there and would of told him it was for a FTF but i dont think the farmer would of cared lol

Thanks for this cache.
