As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
As the MEGA is this weekend I am archiving these now. Please remember:
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Pretty sure we know what we were looking for but the prickles, heat and hungry micro cachers prevented us from being successful.

Out on a day trip to the surrounds of Greytown. Picked a rather warm day when the temperature peaked at 31C. Pleased I had a lot of water with me today. Took a bit of a search to find this as the area was overgrown. Eventually found it and had a little laugh. A nice play on words. Everything in order. TFTC

A cache with a difference! Laughed out loud! Thanks for the fun wascox. Wondering if part had fallen on to the ground? Is there a logbook? Signed the hint item to record my visit.
great pun! need new paper - we wrote on a brown paper bag and chucked it in for anyone else who finds it!
Loved the pun. Am going to love bringing my 12yo cache-kid back here another day. He is going to giggle for days. As is his father. Boys never really grow up do they?
The size is micro? Oooerrr vicar, that just won't do. Found it and had a chuckle and then explained to my wife one, what the container was and what it was for, and what the joke was. I've owned a few of these over the years but this is the first time I've seen one used like this. Well done and thanks for the cache.
A classic example of why every cacher's kit should contain surgical gloves Loved the hint object - took a while for the connection to be made and then a good laugh.
Would have given a FP but the CO has run us out of them !

Thanks for placing these caches. I had a pleasant day wandering around Greytown picking up a few caches.
The second cache of the morning, and it's still drizzling a little. Not too bad, but it did make it pretty wet under foot.
Hmmm, hope that was a new outer cache container...... At least the log should be well protected!
Thanks for the cache wascox.

17 June 2017 13:53. TFTC, found whilst taking a group of Scouts over to a weekend camp nearby. Another good one!
Great cache! Thanks. I had to educate our younger people about what it was held in! We dropped the log and had to look for a while
I should know by now that I shouldn't take a Wascox cache too literally. I laughed out loud when I found the actual hint object - not what I was expecting at all!

One of 15 caches located today in the Greytown area. Needed a bit of a search to track this one down. Yes, a clever hint! #1389. TFTC.
Bit of a jungle round here but didn't affect the cache, when you find it you will know why!
As often happens was on the point of giving up when I spotted it, not what I was expecting at all from the hint but that's not surprising......

Find #2720. Took the train to Solway with the bike, then headed back towards Woodside via Carters Line. The wind a bit annoying, a strong cross wind from the west but sunny and warm through beautiful countryside. A quick cycle across the green had me in the spot and it was a very quick find with a quirky twist! SL TFTC
We recall clambering in to the thick of this area for an earlier cache, and didn't like the itchy scratchy weeds then either. But the things we do for a cache and a chuckle. Clever and very appropriate for the location. TFTC.
#3149. I decided to come over to the Wairarapa today so I could find 30 caches as part of the requirements for the MGSc challenge. Due to a silly mistake leaving my plastic cards and money behind in Wellington, I had to concentrate on caches around Masterton and Greytown today instead of ones further east so I had enough petrol to drive back to Wellington. I parked opposite the reserve and set off to find the caches in this area. Wandered across the playing field and reached the GZ. A read of the description and hint and I was into the thicket. Spotted something that looked rather odd. That's definitely thinking outside the box. Tried not to touch said object but found the logbook safely enough. Signed and replaced as found. Another nicely thought out cache wascox. Thanks for the fun.
Got boxed in at one stage and felt like a bit of a d!(k but soon had it in hand. TFTC.
Out for a days caching with gonefishing
A quick and easy find. Container caused a laugh and ties in nicely with the hint

Out for a day around the Greytown area to catch up on quite a few caches that have sprung up in the last little while. Not too bad a day for it, and a good chance to get the mtb out on the river trail. Good to have fozzmiester along for the day too.
This cache prompted a little chuckle as we found it. Very nicely done.

Yay another great find for the day, what a great family area there was a big crowd here at the time, looks like a small party happening was great to see families out enjoying themselves instead of inside on computers or watching T.V. Thank you for bring us to this area, I was travelling around with marisa & kaleb today. cache was all good, nice quick find. such a beautiful area. Now off to find some more caches. I really enjoy reserves and parks also give us some exercise. TFTC
bit wet under foot getting to this one, but to be able to claim a find this time round, I do think though the cache may need some TLC I dont believe is was meant to look like that.
again wascox thanks for placing some very well thought out cunning/different caches.

A great day out, found part of the Cache log container laying on the ground, completed a simple repair. TFTC.
I must say, I've never seen this type of box used for caching before. Thanks for the cache, and the giggles!
Had a very enjoyable day out collecting recently solved puzzles, plus a few traditional and challenge caches along the way. A quick find very near where we have found a cache in the past. Nice to have met "The Blue Owl" on our way to this cache. tftc
Haha we cracked up as soon as we saw this one. Perfect for this area. Thanks for a fun cache to find on a cold winters day
Found en route home, loved the little box, worth an FP for making me laugh, TFTC
Hahaha, more humour and clever cache placement from the wascox. Much enjoyed, gets a fave point from me.
We called by here the day before, at around 3pm. That was a mistake. Too much sporting activity underway for us to safely make our way to GZ and return without drawing attention. A late Sunday afternoon visit was a different matter. No one around but a fantastic display of autumn colours in the trees as the setting sun threw light onto the park. It was a magnificent sight.
Once we arrived at GZ a straightforward find.
Cache in order; log signed, cache then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Quick find on a very pleasent day in Greytown, nice cache and hint combo, gets a fav point from me.
Quick find on my way over to the Wairarapa with tmann421 and Princess-Emily.

After our initial hunt on the day this was published that had us pulling our hair cut and cursing the trees.....this was a walk in the park to find once we had the correct coodinances.
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
Thought we should get around to finding this as it is the closest unfound one to us here in Greytown. Quick find, TFTC.
After a short search amongst the trees we found what we were looking for. Very good!
Decided to take advantage of the good weather on this side of the ranges today, and come and do a bit of exploring. This was the last cache of the day before heading home. Lots of sporting activities going on across the park but I was well away from them and was able to locate the nicely hidden cache quite quickly. First hide of this sort that I have found! Signed log, TFTC
There was no sporting activity going on here this afternoon even though it was a perfect day for it. I should have expected something out of the ordinary but I didn't and I couldn't help but chuckle when I found the cache.
