Tis a strange land - looking at all the burnt trees. The old stump is starting to fall apart but cache good for now.
Kia ora! Paldies!

Nice easy find in a beautiful spot. Handy little natural seat to sign the log on too! TFTC
28-9-19 thought I'd logged these caches maybe due to the incredibly wet day thought I'd do them when I got home, nice area up here - TFTC
First cache of the year. Yay! Today the sky is overcast with a slight tinge of orange due to the Australian fires and there's a waft of smoke in the air. My thoughts are with the Aussies today, especially seeing the charred stumps along the tracks from the Port Hills fires a few years back.
Thanks for the cache, a good workout too .

This was the last cache of our short walk having dropped Mr KN off at the airport earlier. It was a bit disconcerting being able to hear the people on the mountain bikes nearby but not see them very easily. This was by far the hardest of today's caches to find and MCB was the one to put his hands on it.
Nice walk thanks for the cache, I look forward to grabbing the last three from the carpark at the top of the walk next time.

Pretty hard ground to move across and hard to spot the right hint object as there were a few. Check enough of them and you will find the right one. MCB claimed the find for this one.
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
All the trees have been removed and the ground was rather uneven. We took our time and eventually I was able to put my hands on the elusive cache. Mum did the paper work and I put it back where I found it.
Thanks for the cache I enjoyed our walk.

Last cache for the day and the hardest to find. I was glad my brother found it as I was ready to go home. The sun had come out so it was a nicer walk down the hill then up.
Thanks for the smilie.

A beautiful Winter's day and a quiet stroll up the hill. The track has sure been 'improved' since I was up here last!! No forest understandably and a cunning little hide. Thank you.
Nice easy find on a great day out the view is lovely from here even with the winter haze. TFTH
A stunning day to be up here after the fires, my what a change. Had doubts we would find this looking at the area then went for it anyway. Love the hide for this one. Great views make it worth the effort. Thanks for the cache TwoSharpe.
Did not attempt this last time in the area, but the fires stopped another go at this one. Today we decided to have another go and we made an easy find with this one. TFTC
Stop number 1 on our way up the hill. Staying with a friend who lives within walking distance and heading off to a wedding this afternoon. Great views and the trip down was a lot quicker and less sweaty that the trip up.

Found with Poppymjr and CHarliejhr

when i saw the vegitation I almost gave up. backed down the track some 60m until i found a propper way
My youngest son was disorganized this morning so I had to drop him off at school. Luckily for him I wasn't working today. As I began driving the rain started. When I got out the car it was not so bad. While out this way I had a look at the progress that has been made on the bike park. It was another good excuse for a walk.
Quick find on a sunny afternoon. These tracks probably become muddy slides in wet weather, so we chose a great time to venture here. TFTC
#12201. It was a bit tricky finding a route to this one. Once there I searched the right place early on but missed the cache. Eventually I had a better look and found it. TFTC.
We thought we should take advantage of the good weather (and what a fabulous day it was too) and walk up the Worsley Track today before it closes for logging. It's been a while since we were last in the area and it looks like urban sprawl is creeping up here as well.
Another Maiden to find amongst the feathered birds. There may have been a better route to GZ, but the one we found was across a ditch and over a barbed wire fence, making the terrain a little more challenging than the advertised one. The things that people do for a cache! TFTC.

With the closure of the track immanent I thought I should make the effort to clean up the remaining caches up here. A nice walk, not too hot, and the hint was spot on too.
Found on a sunny Sunday, around Christchurch. Cheers and thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

With the news about the park. My sister and I thought it was time to do these so off we went.
My GPS was about 15mtrs off but it soon settled down and found the cache ok. Was a nice view from here

With news of the impending changes around this area, my sister and I (with daughter in tow) decided to knock off what caches we could.
My 7yr old daughter refused to go over the prickles any more, so I stayed with her on the MTB track while my sister decided to be the mountain goat and go find this cache. Found by sister (with our support of course), signed, returned to its spot. Thanks for the cache.

Having heard that part of the forest was closing for construction of the new bike park NotManlyJack and I decided it was time to get up here and find the caches either side of Worsleys Road; (or is it Goose Track)?
This was the one of twelve finds for the day. We took so long walking up and back, and finding the caches, that we didn't have much time to devote to WPT2 of the Mens' Multi. Will have to try again!
Apologies for the cut and paste logs, I'll try to add a little something specific to each...
Took a bit of wandering up and down to get through/over the fence but once there the GZ was obvious. More than just gorse around there now, but you CAN get the cache without scratches.

Found this cache while enjoying a walk with 2wombles and Lyttelton Witch. TFTC.
With news of the potential temporary closure of the forest surrounding this track, I decided to head up the track today to clear out the caches here just in case they are affected by the nearby development. Was joined by Lyttelton Witch and Bigglespoonies. Thanks for the cache, and the series of caches places here.
Hitting the Woslesy track and some of the caches on it. After a bit of annual leave this is my last evening before I start back tomorrow. So a bit of reflection and fun before that..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC TwoSharpe , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 11 March 2016, cache number #1257!
Needed some cobwebs blown out before heading back to the grindstone. Decided to head up this way to collect three caches that have been accumulating. Parked up by the water tank and headed up. Lovely day for a midday stroll.
Didn't take too long to get to GZ but my mind is elsewhere and I wandered off the track on the wrong side. Once I figured out my mistake it didn't take too long to locate the cache
Thanks for the cache TwoSharpe.

This cache was task number one on today's tramp up Worsley. Struggled with the lid for a bit before I noticed that something was written on the lid. Just as well I could read it without my glasses (which were back at home), else I might have unintentionally resorted to another method.[xx(][B)]
A small diversion off the track, I thought people could drive up here, they must be madder than the cyclists. Cheers
A nice late evening walk up the track to grab the cache. Much cooler then. Got to GZ just as a group of 4 mountain bikers came up the track and decided here was a good place to turn around and ride back down. After the short wait cache was soon discovered signed and then we too headed back down.
Wee dudes stayed the night with grandparents so up early for a sloig up the hill with Mrs TG. Every time I come up here the 'road' seems to get worse! Lovely morning. Cheers.

A stunning day today. And I had a volunteering shift tonight, so seeing as that meant it was necessary to find caches on the lunch break, decided to go for a walk somewhere up the hills, making the most of the lovely weather, and find a few.
Picked Worsleys Track, as there were quite a few new ones here since last time I'd been up, and lunch break could be long enough to drive this far.
Grabbed mum, and off we went.
Had to miss the other cache, as there were some mountain bikers there. And hmm, I didn't know about this side track! That would definitely make climbing up here much easier!!! Esp in rain!!!

Since it was a lovely warm sunny day, we decided to go for a lunchtime walk with daughter. Ideal weather to be out and about! The road looks a bit weathered even for a 4WD! We went as far as feasible before daughter was due back for a meeting. Great place, TFTC!!
2TF. A cache starting with I and T level of 2.5? I'll take that! TFTC Mr TwoSharpe.
FTF for sharkiefan. I couldn't even try to help myself. Dirty, sweaty and happy. Woo hoo! Tftc
