Heading off from Rutherglen for a two day trip to Millicent and this was my next stop. Cache was found without however I suspect it's been underwater...or water has got it. Good news though it's basically dry.

Nice cache.

06-Dec-22
This turned into a bit of an adventure. First I walked along the road then realised unless I wanted drenched feet it would be better to walk along the old railway line from near where we parked, then I got down on the other side just in case it was too steep for me nearer the hide. It was a great, fun hide which I had to access through long grass and lots of mossies due to water by the side of road. Everything was in good condition.

17-Nov-22
On our way to the Mega with shop in tow. After an overnight stop in Marnoo where we narrowly escaped a rather large Fallen branch just in front of the car (That would have made a fair noise but we didn't hear it!...There's a joke in there somewhere,,) we made our way to St Arnaud for a spot of Breakky and found a few on the way..A thankfully quick find as the Mozzies here are insane!!! We are on our maiden voyage in our caravan but have stayed close to home and the dealer in case we have any teething problems.

Had to make a trip from St Arnaud to Horsham today to purchase a new mask for my CPAP. A Sunday repair job with super glue and gorilla tape just didn't do the job.

A quick find on our way back to St Arnaud, it was far to wet to find any caches on the way to Horsham.

Day three of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
The weather was a lot nicer today, but it was a traveling day - St Arnaud to Patchewollock.
A few AdLabs and a few caches near the road.

We didn't stop in Marnoo today, just traveling through.
Stopped to grab this quick cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.

#18842. Day 3 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. A blue sky day today but still cold. A day spent travelling from St Arnaud to Patchewollock doing some AdLabs and various other caches along the way.

We had just pulled over to let large tanks pass by when Rob jumped out and I realised there was a cache right here. A quick find, added our names to the log book and continued on our way.

Thanks Nards_Nuggles

After parking in the nearby rest stop I made my way to GZ. I didn't realise until I was part way to the cache, but the old embankment beside the cache is actually the former Lubeck to Bolangum railway line which had a station at Marnoo.
I liked the manner in which the cache was hidden (nice to see something other than a container under a pile of sticks!) and soon had my name in the log book. TFTC.

Day 2 Natimuk to St Arnaud

quick find at gz.
Came over to the 2019 mega in St Arnaud with Mogni. We where joined by jj52, Aussie M and M plus others at different times over the mega weekend. Many caches where found over the course of the 8 day trip. Targeting multi's on the way there and back plus the challenge trail in Mount Beckworth reserve. The creative trails around St Arnaud where the highlight of the trip.

12-Nov-19
We are staying at St Arnaud for the Mega and chose to do some of the Silo Trail today. We had a great day out. Managed to get some great photos as well as grab some smileys.
It was a lovely day for this drive although a little distressing to see how dry it is up here.
Thanks to all the CO's that placed and maintain the caches for us to find. You gave us a most enjoyable day trip.

In St Arnaud for the weekend finding a few new caches since our last visit. We always love bush caching rather than city caching so we were very happy to be back and enjoying this great location.
Headed out west to pick up a multi that we had DNF’d last year and had the added bonus of this hide.

Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the placement.

There was a deal of water laying around but we managed to find a path to GZ without getting that wet. Accurate coordinates and a bold hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the cache.

Suscoe was heading to Bendigo this morning.
We awoke to heavy clouds out to the west and thought we better get a wriggle on if we wanted to find a few caches before the rain arrived.
So in mild temperatures and a blue sky in the east we left Horsham and headed off.
The countryside looks green but a few empty dams highlighted the lack of rain.

Thanks to Nards_Nuggles for this hide. Knew it was probably one of yours after spotting it as we approached.
An interesting spot for a cache.
We wondered if this was an old railway alignment?

19-Jun-19
Found at 11:28 AM GAFF1.
On our way to St. Arnaud and we are stopping along the way to find the caches on this road.
A beautiful still chilly day as compared to yesterday that was clear but had a minus 50 degree wind chill factor [xx(]
Nice swaps in there that intrigued us - what are these stories about?
Thanks Nards_Nuggles

Wow that tree that has blown over was a very big one and we wouldn't like to have been driving along when it came down. Wow what a big cache, one of the biggest we have come across. saw it from aways away. TFTC. SL. Left a few swaps as the cache is big enought for them. Thanks for putting a cache way out here and making us stop. Cheers.

In St Arnuad for a caching weekend but heading to Horsham for the night with Happy pants, grabbing some different hides, that we hadn't already found, as we meandered through some of the back roads. We made some great discoveries, clever hides and generally enjoyed the caches we found, which took us to some interesting places, that I wouldn't probably see if it wasn't for caching.. We enjoyed some fun and laughs along the way.

Driving through town at night and took the opportunity to stop and make this quick find under torch light.

Thanks Nards_Nuggles for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Day 4 of my latest road trip through undiscovered regions in Vic and SA. Started a wet morning in Swanhill but the clouds dispersed and made way for blue skies and sunshine for most of the day until I reached Horsham where the rain started again, off and on to St Arnaud where I lay my head for the night.
A total of 27 trads today.

#19 A quick stop here, cold and wet so no danger of snakes or dehydration/heatstroke Smile
Cache in good condition.

Thanks Nards_Nuggles

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
