I wasn’t planning on coming to Toodyay today but the allure of a certain multi got me here. After a Toodyay Bakery pie, I started finding some geotrakka caches before hitting Northam.
Unfortunately the cache has seen better days. Damn ratbags!!

Would have been another awesome cache if someone hadnt been forceful with it. TFTC Bristag.
As previously logged some ratbag has been way too forceful and has broken this. So disappointing when a CO has made such a magnificent invention. Co-ords were spot in for both the tool and the cache. Happy that the log is still safe and snug and dry so its still doable - just not in the way the CO intended it to be. Thanks for your efforts Bristag - we appreciate your your genius.
As per previous logs, cache damaged which is such a shame and can see why it got so many favourite points. TFTC.
As others have mentioned this container is damaged and should be checked out!
We had a trip planned for this neck of the woods in March but the ‘Rona virus put a halt to that and we have only just got around to booking some free time to get away from home. This cache was one we targeted for our two day mini-adventure, cheers and TFTC.
G’day there Bristag, I was in this area today and found your cache Northam Bypass GC65Y90. I added my name to the log book at 2:05 pm on 7 October 2020. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!

Retrieved the cache tool from its coordinates and located cache, only to find that either an inexperienced cacher or muggle has severely damaged the cache. The outer casing is damaged as well as the inner lid. So disappointing for the owner as a lot of effort has gone into the construction of this one. Used the provided tool and the cache container appeared as it was supposed to. A fav point from us for the time and effort put into this clever cache. TFTC
Found. But sadly some bugger has damaged the cache. Looks like forced. One lid and some of the sides are smashed. Pity. Great cache and well made. Despite the condition of the cache it still gets a favourite from us.
Was out caching on my own today prior to the brunch and came out here to grab this very clever and interesting cache. I found the tool after a minute or 2 of looking as it blended in with the surrounds so well. The handle had split quite badly and was difficult to use. But after a few minutes i got it to work. Another cleverly constructed cache. Thanks for bringing me here and to another outstanding cache Bristag. Favourite from me....
Our second puzzle cache! We're loving these. Thank you so much for your time and effort in creating these caches for us to find. Favourite point awarded
Clever cache hide and field puzzle! We met up with a fellow geocacher and opened together! Very clever idea to hold cache in place! Thanks for building and looking after the cache gets a fav point from us!
Found with Scjaz and geokids after WAFB long weekend. I've done a traditional near Denmark like this and love them. Can't wait to do more. Thanks for your effort and sharing guys
So out on another Geocaching weekender with Spatial Riq, this time off to the Northam for the 2019 WAGB. Great weekend picking up nearly 70 Caches over the two days. A great variety in the area....

This cache has been on our to do list for a long time and after Bristag talk yesterday I was determined to have the family up early to complete this one. It took us awhile due to a a part being stuck tight and being distracted by another option. Finally worked out what should happen and had the cache in hand quickly. Another great cache the family all enjoyed.
Found another couple cachers who had already grabbed the tool, we worked together and figured out how to crack this one and got the log signed tftc and smile, off to the next one , happy WAGB19!
A quorum of the Fott was here so we are retrospectively claiming the find. If that's an issue let us know.
Geobuddy marke8183 picked me up from home at about 6am to head out to the Northam area for WAGB weekend. After registering, we teamed up with SeabreezeOZ and headed over towards Toodyay to do the Adventure Lab cache and a few others along the way. No problems finding this one. We found this one once back in Northam after that little jaunt. Great cache which had us scratching our heads for a while - appreciate the effort that went into its construction. It was one of about 80 smileys for the weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who contributed to a great weekend of caching. Cheers Bristag.
On our first visit we Could not get to open ??
We decided to leave it and come back later
After a morning of finding other caches we came back to this after having some lunch
I had obtained some intel about how it worked and that we had been doing it wrong
On our return we quickly found the TOTT and soon had the cache open and log signed
The problem we had the first time was that a previous finder had tightened the lids so much that they were very difficult to open and we did not want to apply too much force and break something
This time I had brought a pair of pliers along which allowed me to remove the lid easily
I made sure that the lids were replaced only finger tight so the next finder would not have so much difficulty
Very fun, creative cache. Well done.

Great cach’e , had a lot of fun with one . You have to do as instructed. We left travel bugs
We worked what we needed to do, just could make the magic happen.
Unfortunately Bristag I was unable to locate your cache today. I hope to return sometime and turn this blue unhappy face into a smily.

We came, we hunted, but we had no joy. We knew what we needed to do but could not get it to work.
Sorry Bristag but we didn’t open Northam Bypass today. Maybe next time.

Ignored the less than obvious and the magic happened.
Heading out and about with Granett, Kyzabra and AlliedOz today around the wider Northam area. Popped in and out of the Event a couple of times. Thanks to all the COs for a great day.

Ok. Maybe we didn’t know EXACTLY what to do. Armed with some more info, we have returned and conquered.
A fav point from me.
Lots of laughs on the drive and this was one of the caches on our radar. Grabbed the trackables.
Thanks heaps to Bristag for placing and maintaining Northam Bypass. I found your cache today. I added my name to the log and replaced where I found it.

After meeting the making of this cache it was a pleasure to find the cache. We were stumped at first but then got it with team Bastholm & team OutnAbout ??
Really enjoy these caches where the owners put a lot of time and effort into making. Thanks heaps for this one TFTC
After the information sessions with Duck 43 and Bristag we headed off to find some caches. We traipsed through the bush, found the tool and the cache easily, that’s when the fun began. After a few goes and lots of laughs we had the log in hand.

Outnabout with Team Bastholm and JAM1511 in Northam for WAGB19. Made this our first stop after the presentation. So glad we did. Ingenious. TFTC.
What a cool contraption ?? It's getting a good workout this weekend! TFTC Bristag
Thank you! In Northam for WAGB. Happy to make the find here with papillon367 and Photo-Play.
While we were in Northam at WAGB2019 with thronsy.4 we managed to come and find this cache that Bristag talked about in his session
Now we know what he was talking about - quite a feat to get this one here but it should be safe from being taken
Great construction and clever mechanism - inspirational
We must look quite a circus traipsing through the bush with all our crew and then we managed to meet up with 2 more cachers at this one
If google earth was watching someone will get a huge laugh I’m sure
Another favourite - just as well we have some saved up

Was at WAGB when Bristag was talking about placing this cache. Must have been a lot of hard work! Massive spring with lots of punch!!! Tftc met another team at GZ and they found the tool and opened the cache but we had to hit it a go afterwards.
Out and about with SVKR_WA, AlliedOz and Kyzabra during WAGB19 picking up the odd smilie here and there. A great day with the usual banter thrown for good measure.
After initially failing here we came back with some new information and the log book was to hand soon enough. A very impressive piece of cache construction, awarding a favourite.
Bristag I found your cache at 11:51am, this was the 9th of 17 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5387. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Haha. I loved this cache. So clever. Found the tool easily but still took me ages to figure out what to do with it! Until I read the clue. Tool replaced as found. Fave point from me. TFTC
what a fantastic and clever cache thankyou for the time and effort you put into it
Having been staying in Perth for some time, it was decided to move a little further on and we headed out along the Great Eastern Highway with ilook4geo. The caching list had some caches to be found along the route as far as Northam.
This was the best cache found for the day! We located the container, then went a bit further along to pick up the tool provided. Came back to the cache and applied the tool, which gave an unexpected result.
Hilarious! We opened the container, put two more names on the log, then put the container securely back into place. The tool was returned to its proper spot before we left.
We have to add a favourite point for this cache, as we have not seen anything like it before. The idea and construction are really good.
Thank you to Bristag for a great cache, which we really enjoyed finding.

We were on the move again, caching with goingplaces2 as we head slowly east. Found some caches along the way and were happy with the smileys gained. Nice find here. Had a lot of fun with this one. TFTC.
Final stage of my road trip through WA and heading for Perth . Thanks for placing all the boxes along the road and giving me several reasons to stretch my legs . Most of the containers could be found easily and the log sheet was signed! Cool construction with a surprise effect for sure [:o)]. Worth one more favo....

We headed out today to claim some more smileys through the Avon valley, we had a mixture of caches with three fantastically executed field puzzles being the highlight of our day, this being one of them!! We had a couple of DNF’s for the day but will get back to hopefully rectify that soon, all in all a great day out, a fouvrite point coming your way TFTC
I probably missed something but did not find the tool, found the cache and it looked interesting. Thanks
Found the tool and cache with no trouble. I think I half solved it - something was moving/giving way but the cache stayed securely shut.
Wow this was definitely our favourite cache of the day. It took me some time to locate the tool, thanks to the clever camo job. Once found, it was a quick and violent opening of the cache, nearly got a black eye!! So much fun, we did it another three times. Naturally a fave point. TFTC
What an awesome geocache to celebrate International Geocaching Day! Good job!

Another unique and excellent cache that needs to be visited. Found en route from Adelaide to Perth. A fav point from me. Thanks Bristag for the puzzle and the cache.
So we found it, but could not find the tool anywhere, after much discussion we think we know what the tool is so we'll try again another time!
On the recommendation of recent finder WebblyWA, we made a stop here. Found a nice parking spot and went for a walk, hoping not to meet any reptile locals. We found the very susbstantial final, and while he scratched his head, I backtracked to look for something else. Took it back, he did the correct action, and we both had a little jump....
An excellent cache here, Bristag, when our Eastwards and Northwards peregrinations are done, we will come back and explore your neck of the woods a bit more.
Certainly a fave from me. And I left one of our joint Red Centre pathtags. TFTC!

What an awesome cache to end todays adventure. Found the cache first and while PP2 began to work it out I ducked over to grab the tool. I should of ducked a little lower because that was one big spider.
Returned to GZ and went about extracting the cache ............................ "Insert webbly squealling"..................
Nope not giving this one away, But it was a heap of fun and one of my all time favs. Thanks for providing a great afternoon full of your varied and interesting hides. You mark my words we will be back. It goes without saying that this one gets a fav point and pity I'm only allowed to give one.

The Best cache of what I am calling BRISTAG DAY. We had a great laugh at this one. And a Big surprise too, it's not often you get a shriek out of Webby! Another marvellous construction certainly worthy of a favourite point. TFTC & the Day Bristag
Heading up Northam way with the muggles in law to check out the amazing amount of water in the rivers after the recent rains. As always when the muggle in laws are present the caching tends to take a back seat, So set my sights on a few special hides that had caught my eye and rave reviews
The special tool was found quite quickly and we soon were standing around the concrete lump, scratching our head wondering what to do with it. The youngest had a good suggestion which was attempted, before Dad (knowing best having seen one like this before) set about another course of action. After several minutes dad eventually backed dotwn and returned to the original suggestion and the cache was soon found to be flying through the air, with youngest saying "I told you so dad"
After signing duties done. We each made several attempts to catch the hide in flight, before resetting the puzzle and returning the tool and heading back to the car

Found by Mary & David at 1645. A very creative hide. Took a while to find the "tool" as it bended in very well. Once we had it, though, we quickly had the cache ready to log it. Loved the way it all worked. A FP from us. Our thanks to Bristag.
