Last cache of the day, as my phone was almost dead! Thankfully had a torch in the glovebox. Nobody around this time of day allowed for a straightforward search and a quick find, TFTC.
Thanks for replacing. A good hide. I found the original version back in 2018 when the cache was inside the zoo grounds.Today my mission was to drop off a Golden Lion Tamarin trackable after taking the opportunity for it to visit its relatives in the zoo.
The cache had gone missing. Replaced today with a small container under a protective cover. Same hint.
Any news on this?I have a trackable I would like to place in the cache.Note that the last found log covers a find from earlier so does not indicate that the cache is currently present.
This was the first cache my grandson found (late last year), and now that he has his own GC account, I'm adding in his log. This will mean that he has all his finds recorded from the very start of his geocaching trip. And guess who's paying for Premium? Of course!

Thanks.
Found with a friend who showed me a little bit of Wellington on a day off the cruise ship. Gday from Australia and TFTC
TFTC! Nice to find a cache here on our way to the close encounter with the Lemurs!Duck Caches - #77
Very quick discovery while on a Zoo mission with our granddaughter. A few days away from our Blenheim home and a beautiful day it is as well tftc.
Found this with my 6 year old grandson. His first caching trip. All good at GZ and TFTC.
Out early this morning so able to grab a few caches that needed a bit of a quieter time. Quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.
I was out and about caching on my own for a while today. This was where I got dropped off to begin my walk around the Mt Albert park area.I had to wait for a wee while, for a group of kids to begin their tour.Once the coast was clear, it was quick dash to GZ where the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for putting this here
I never managed to search for this cache while it was in its original location. Today. aided by some helpful information, I was able to quickly track down the whereabouts of this nicely hidden and good sized cache.
I've avoided this cache for a long time, even when I lived nearby, as I'd always been daunted by (the cost) the prospect of searching for a cache in the grounds of the zoo, always a busy place. Now that it's been relocated, I was much happier searching. It was an easy find at GZ, signed, and replaced as found. Tftc!
I was out geocaching the weekend with TwigNZ and said I needed a regular, so we came out here. A fairly straightforward find, that we signed as TATS, for TwigNZ and the Seagnoid. But when I got home I realised that that day was not a size regular dot-day, that was the day before. I am working my size regular dot days. I have about 8o-something remaining, so it will probably take a few years, but I'll never complete if I don't do anything about it, right? So I didn't log it. And today I hopped on the train and bus and came out to find it again, this time signing as just myself. Because today is another regular dot-day.Yay, another dot day done! Only 80-something still to go. Sigh.Saw Tina's Dairy across the road, closed. Is that because she now works for Turners?
***Signed as T.A.T.S for TwigNZ and the Seagnoid***I've had a lot of 'real life' going on recently, which has mostly taken me north for a few weekends. But this morning I awoke in Lower Hutt with no real agenda for the day. Any ideas of lounging around drinking coffee for the morning were soon dispelled with the publication of a new cache along the coastal walk around Turakirae Head. With my flattie, the Seagnoid, along for the walk we set off and managed to get the FTF on that new cache in spite of the inclement weather. During our walk to that cache, I received notification that another cache had been published in central Wellington. I never thought we'd have a chance to find that one first too, but once back at the car we noticed that no-one else had claimed the find, so figured it was worth the drive to check it out...Having been lucky with both those caches, it was time to head back home to finally have my first coffee for the day, but tS still wanted to find a 'Size-Regular' cache for his own purposes, so seeing as this one was not far away we figured we'd come and look for it.A quick and easy find here, especially with so few humans braving the distinctly winterish weather today. The triple containering is excellent, so not surprise to find a nice dry log within. On the walk back to the car, we noticed that some local wag had been having fun putting googly eyes on the nearby election campaign posters. I think it worked best with Winnie lol! Thank you for putting this cache out.
Found with the whole family. A lovely day for some geocaching, great to see some sunshine again!
We had tried to get this one a few months back but the construction made it impossible .
Glad to see this cache restored. We made a quick job of finding and signing this one.

I was here recently on one of the worst possible days with the zoo doing a "roaring trade" on a public holiday. I didn't even think about searching for the cache. Today I was in the city on foot (and other various non-car forms of transport) and it was nice and quiet on a weekday morning when I got here. However a minor disaster struck first when I dropped my phone on the road and severely cracked its screen. It was almost still usable but in the end a lost cause. With no GPS today I was kind of stuck for caching. But I had roughly scoped out the area before and even remembered the hint. Could I find the cache by memory and cache sense alone? Turns out yes! It was helped by the cache being properly large and not hidden very well. It seems the cache was supposed to be in the adjacent nook about 20cm away so that's where it is now and covered more completely by the item that was trying (but failing) to hide it. I will echo the thanks from others for moving this outside the zoo. TFTC.
Thanks for moving this one outside the zoo. Took a few moments to work out the best way to get to GZ, the hint answered that question. TFTC
Love the smell of the eucalyptus. Muggles the playground -one very noisy as they weren’t happy about something. No one seemed to take notice of me walking past.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache DOCNationalOffice.

As a nearby local, this cache has been on my list for a while but I keep on putting off a visit to the zoo. I just saw that it has been moved to outside the zoo grounds so time for a quick late night stealth mission to grab this cache.
The cache and log is in good condition.

Had a great day at the zoo then had a bit of time before the next bus to find this cache, great end to a great day

I noticed the other day that this is now outside the zoo. The cache was a nice quick find. Almost too quick. I just hope it’s going to last where it is. TFTC
Nice cache close to the zoo, glad it’s outside the zoo now. Went into the zoo shop and they have colourful metal drink bottles. Brought an orange one with a small capybara on it. Will go back for the capybara close encounter.
Snooping around the geocaching map and it struck me that this one is now outside the zoo. Yay! Good news for a walk after work! Nice quick find of the cache in perfect condition... reminded me of Russian dolls.

The cache is no longer within the zoo. The previous hiding place has been upgraded and is no longer suitable for a hide. Instead the cache is now placed outside but not far from the zoo entrance. A request to the reviewer will be made to update the coordinates.
The new hiding spot is at S41 19.166 E174 47.046. Fixing the position was difficult due to dense tree cover so use the hint to make it quicker.

Great day in the zoo, saw the snow leopards! Did not see the geocache though! Are the two trees in question still standing?
Found the Geocache really fast. Had a few helpers to find it. TEAM CAPYBARA!
Celebrated by partying on the swing bridge.

Wasn't quite sure from the map whether this was inside or outside the zoo but, as we'd planned a visit anyway, I had look at the cache page. A gentle stroll brought us to GZ and the cache was quickly found. Next, off to see the lions and tigers and bears. Oh, my! TFTC.
If DOC is no longer monitoring this one, perhaps a local can come and replace? Needs a fresh container, log, and swaps. 2 litre, lots of gear for the little kids. Would do this if I was local.... C'mom, let's make this happen
While in Rome....
Found fully exposed on side of path before were even looking for it, so signed and returned with just a little more cover. Yes, bring in nature is indeed good for well-being. And geocaching is a great reason to be outside.
Cache can do with some love. New container, fresh logbook, updated swaps for the kids.
Thanks for having one here.

Found it... Person below might have found a replacement one as their name isn't in it. Found this one soggy in bad condition just out in the open past the Meet the Locals exhibit. Put it behind a tree
So I am thinking that it has been moved down from the construction area - but easy to find with the hint. Kids loved being stealth on this one TFTC!
Had to cross the red line managed to log during zoo visit. Tftc and greetings from Finland.
I saw it, but I couldn't sign it as there is a fence in place while the Snow Leopard enclosure is under construction nearby.
Construction has been delayed and the enclosure is not due to complete until March 2023.

Could see it but couldn't reach it due to construction barriers.
