Thank you Surefoot24 for bringing us to this spot, and our first cache on the way to San Remo for the night with ASP84. What a cool little bridge.
This is our first of many today. A great start to a day of caching with LouJean70.TFTC surefoot24
Came back to find this cache with yummy az eats. The wombat I saw before has been moved into the bush land a bit yet still smells a bit dead the waypoints helped locate the exact location of this cute fun cache. Thanks surefoot24 for the fun find
Was about to track down to instructed side of the bridge when spotted a dead wombat resting above where I think the cache is at. Not sure the state of decay so will aim to come back another time to search for this cache
Out for a days caching down Phillip Island with Tiz13, the weather was perfect and we had plenty of laughs along the way with plenty of random songs sung along the way.
This is one of the caches found today. no trouble with the find once we slid our way down. Giving this one a FAV
Feed back to CO ferns hous is coming apart.
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.

So the final cache for Rebel Acts and I today and the final song to get stuck in our heads on the way to GZ was ..I'm on the road to no- where. Gz could have had us switching to the song of Rockin Robin (rocks in the tree tops all day long) (but l think we are both more talking head fans than Jackson 5)
We grabbed this cache as we were heading to Kilcunda to visit family, bit exciting these days to be able to just take off to a location with out having to check for border closures, restrictions and mask wearing requirements!
It wasnt dark yet so we were confident to go for a little wander to the cache, thanks for the cache surefoot24.

A plan was hatched for a trip to the Island with RoamingHowie to explore and finally turn some dots into smileys.
A quick stop-off here to sign the log. I approached from the wrong side, but RH managed to reach the cache easily from the other.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, surefoot24

OzHockeyChick suggested we head out of Melbourne for the weekend. No need to ask me twice! The car is packed, which direction?
With an early start we set off towards Phillip Island making plenty of obligatory stops along the way.
Another stop on our way. We weren’t sure how to access this one at first but soon found the path of least resistance.
Thanks surefoot24 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We enjoyed doing this cache. The directions were followed and soon we arrived at GZ. A short search and we located Fern's lair. Nice quiet picturesque spot. Thanks to surefoot24 for cache and worth a favourite.
Off on an early morning geocaching run enjoying the public holiday to enjoy the life of the wonderful Queen Elizabeth. Glad I left early as heading back to Koo Wee Rup at 10.30 am, there are Thousands and Thousands of cars heading down to Phillip Island and the Bass Coast.
I've had this in my solved list for a long time, but just never seem to detour down this road to collect the geocache. But today that was to change. Parked on the wrong side of the bridge, because there was a local using his ride on mower. But that just meant I got to walk over this lovely old bridge. Once ducking into the bushes, I found this nice geocache container.
Outer container probably needs a bit of TLC now, but geocache and log book in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Sure Foot 24

Today we headed off early to Phillip Island and glad we did because the traffic was at a standstill coming onto the island when we left. For a public holiday the weather was surprisingly good. After finding the main cache we needed today we deployed the scooters at the car park here and rode each direction along this awesome trail. Geez they went to a lot of trouble building all these boardwalks. A great range of caches were found along here today.
On the way back home we stopped by here to find this nicely constructed cache. Fleabag then realised he had already found it once we pulled up to look for it !
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We stayed in Philip Island last night and were able to grab a few caches in between attending six events for The Great Victorian Cache Crawl to celebrate International Geocaching Day 2022. This one had me up and around, everywhere before finally spotting the crafty hide. Thanks for the cache surefoot24.

Continuing our Victorian trip with the family after some time at the Wang mega.
After leaving Phillip Island on a stormy morning we headed to this letterbox cache where followed the directions to GZ.
On the day where we celebrated our 20th year of caching, this was a cool container and part of the reason that we still love it so much.

It was only a short detour so we decided to explore this less traveled area.
A little searching at GZ before we discovered the lovely container.

Found with redcruiser on our way home from Phillip Island, this is our first letterbox find, we decided this would be a great place to move this trackable piece along as we were a little unsure about it's type and thought you would know what to do with it, TFTC surefoot24 and evilmuggle
Tftc first let box find. Awsome last cache on the way home from a day on the island. Found with margaretforr1987
On a road trip to Phillip Island for a couple of weeks, picking up random caches as we travel around seeing the sites. This was the second cache of the trip. We followed the instructions to GZ, parked the geomobile and Mr Pooky searched high and low and everywhere in between without luck. A local, walking her dog stopped to chat and Mr Pooky explained the basics of geocaching while he continued to search. We had just decided to abandon our search when Mrs Pooky read the hint and remembered she had written down the co-ordinates as they didn't appear on our GPS. We returned to the geomobile, got the co ordinates, put them into the GPS and made our way straight to GZ and Mr Pooky made a quick find. A great little cache. We were again returning to the geomobile when the neighbour across the road returned home and enquired as to whether we had broken down. Mr Pooky proceeded to explain the basics of geocaching to her as well. TFTC and bringing us to this spot and the old bridge. TNLN.
On the way home from a wonderful sunny Easter break at Cape Paterson I stopped of for this one. Bit dusty on the way and to a bridge that you don't see that often nowadays. Nice easy find, very cute. Thanks for the cache surefoot24
We walked through an electric Fench and crossed under the bridge to realise we were in the wrong spot! I love this cache anyway thank you!! TFTC signed and replaced
We are staying at Grantville because we are in the area for today's River Garden Working Bee in Bass. Set ourselves a challenge of trying to find 11 different cases today. This was a lovely cache to find; it takes you down a lovely country road and over a beautiful old bridge. We wouldn't want to ride a bike across the bridge. Hopefully, the local council continues to maintain the bridge and does not change it to one of the generic concrete ones. We loved the hidey-hole for the cache; it really made us smile. Thank you, surefoot24, for this cache.
After a couple of wonderful days on the Island, it was time to head home and back to reality. An early start to beat the heat meant we had time to grab a few caches on our way.
Finding a safe place to park, it wasn’t long until Steve found Fern...........and her rather large cache guardian. He managed to stamp the log and carefully replace as found, very much on alert for another sudden attack:)
Thanks for this Letterbox cache surefoot24.

Found with PapaGrouch and jebjeb. We had both left an event at Bass and taken different paths to GZ. Met up and searched around for the cache. The boys spotted it and signing duties were completed. TFTC
This was a cache I'd driven by many times on the way to the Bass Coast but had never bothered to actually try out.
Today seemed like a splendid day for such an attempt (excluding the roadworks that were happening on McKenzie Road, of course) so off we drove, following the directions right up to the very interesting wooden bridge and gz beyond it.
The car was parked and I ventured into the overgrowth (stepping in some cow poo at some point, as I'd later discover when the car slowly started to smell unpleasant).
The cache was spotted with ease and it was a delight to see it all in place with a lovely painting on the outside.
Shook some small spiders off the container and signed the log within.
Thanks to surefoot24 for this wonderful letterbox, an easy fave point from me!

It was a beautiful day today to head out and find some caches with ilook4eo. This was a very easy cache to find. Fern was at home when we came and we wrote in her visitors' book, before we continued on our way to make another find. Thanks, surefoot24, for placing this cache, which we enjoyed finding.
Was out for some caching today along with goingplaces2. This was a cache that was not too difficult to find. Very happy to find Fern here and waiting for cachers to come and see her.
Log was signed, all was replaced and we way on our way again. TFTC.

Headed out again today with beckNmonts a little later than normal due to a later night last night. Aim was the event in Bass and anything we liked the look of along the way.
Just enough time to squeeze this one in before the event. Took a while to locate the container, but got there in the end by taking the leap of faith. great final container.

Out and about again this week, after a 5 month enforced layoff
Dropped in on this cache on my way to the island for a walk around Cape Woolamai
Following recent maintenance by the CO the cache was found in excellent condition
Signed the log and returned as found however the listed tb was not sighted?
Many thanx to surefoot24 for maintaining this cache

We checked this one out today, did repairs to the door and found one we thought was lost or stolen hidden under a bush at the bottom of a bush under the tree. The contents were still intact, so transferred to the new container.
Heading out with jascat and noticed this one on the filter nice and close to the highway so stopped to grab. Well it wasn’t the png we were hoping and decided to do a container replaCement as it was on the ground and broken. Nice little hide although the ground was muddy and very nearly got bogged but all ended well.

With the Mystery at the Museum in progress there was no time like the present to be out picking up a few caches. Found with tim_amy on a night caching run. We found Ferns letterbox looking a little worse for wear sitting out in the open. Log book is dry. Log is now sitting in a nice new Sistema container.

We had to make choices on which caches we attempted on our way to an event, and we specifically aimed for the letterbox. We find they’re usually exciting, and we were bang on correct when it came to this one. Loved the directions, loved the area, and the cache was capital A, adorable!!
It was all in great condition. Thank you surefoot24!

Thank you so much.

Day 25 of my trip from Adelaide to Canberra via Tasmania and Victoria.
After spending the night at Rye, I meandered around the Mornington Peninsula then on towards Wonthaggi, seeking out targeted caches along the way. It was great that the weather has improved a bit with no rain or wind today.
All in sll it was a successful day with some enjoyable walks and 17 mystery, multi, letterbox and traditional caches found.
This fancy painted letterbox was a quick find. As per the cache description page, the cars certainly race by here!
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.

Had a lovely dinner with the CO of this cache the other night. Had reason to be up Granville way today so decided to take a detour to check if Fern was home today. Following the coordinates and finding a safe park , I wondered down and found no one home but a well constructed letterbox cache by the river. Lovely wooden bridge and location. Thanks for the cache and the company the other night. Caching is well an truly alive down this area to some motivated and devoted people. Thanks Surefoot24.
A very well set up cache great views of the countryside. For a first cache you have done very well. The cache was found as described and was a well constructed cache. TFTC.
Out for a day with Bunadoorian and about to meet up with Crustyvarmint to do the Reef Island caches - Bunadoorian and I arrived early so thought we would find a couple while we waited. Great spot to stretch our legs and such a lovely easy find. Find 2 of 9 today. TFTC surefoot24

I headed out with SteMicMitSar to attend the annual event at Wonthaggi and find other caches of interest in the area. I'd been wanting to find this Letterbox for well over a year but hadn't had an opportunity to do so until today. No problems finding and the cache guardian, a reasonably sized Huntsman didn't bother me at all.

On our way to the Wonthaggi Events and decided to take a detour to do this letterbox cache. Thanks for an enjoyable cache on a quiet back road. Unfortunately there was no stamp in the cache. Grabbed a TB
Replaced the missing contents. With holiday season on us I felt it needed more than the replacement log kindly left by feathertop. More stamped pieces people are welcome to take home and stick in their records.
I had working in Wonthaggi most of the day and decided to give this one a try on my way home. I thought I had the right idea... and spent a lot of time clambering around in places I obviously didn't need to go... because I clearly didn't!!! And that is something I have since confirmed by reading some more of the past logs... oh well, it will just have to wait for another day when I am down this way.
I was pleased to come into this part of the world and a pretty and quiet part of the coast to do this letterbox.
I did it the old fashioned way with instructions and it worked a treat.
However no container in the letterbox at GZ so I popped in a small plastic container with a logsheet for the next person.
Thanks surefoot

I had spied this letterbox some time ago, perhaps even on my last visit down to this gorgeous part of the world but didn't divert off the highway to collect it.
This trip down with n0w0rries I remedied that oversight. A lovely hide in a beautiful spot and as such it deserves a FP. Thanks for the expense and effort gone into setting up, placing and maintaining this cache, E.

Wow, what a beauty. Met the CO at a recent event and said I would try and find it while staying in the area. Well we weren’t disappointed after a lovely drive down the track. Signed the log and stamped it. This deserves a favourite point for effort.
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
I'd headed to Melbourne on the 5th May for a weekend stay to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert
Instead there was a mammoth change in my plans when the Corolla suddenly needed new brakes [xx(] which led to needing new tyres [^] which led to needing a new wheel bearing [xx(]
So a weekend turned into almost 3 full weeks and my HUGE thanks to the very patient and tolerant kmace who not only provided accommodation for myself but also for Rex [:X][:X]
Having your home invaded by a rabid geocacher who gets irritated when they have no car to go and find caches because it is in the workshop [xx(] and a pup who shreds his toys all over the house is not an easy ask for a day or two: let alone 20 odd days! [:X]
Rex also loved the beaches and the seagulls so there were many walks on the beach, some in pouring rain and gusting winds but that's what being a dog owner is about [^]
During this time some fantastic caches were found and some adventures occurred [^]
My thanks to all of the COs for the fun and the finds [^]
Today, the 14th day of the trip, was going to be my 1st ever visit to Phillip Island and in one way, it was!
I didn't get to the Grand Prix track nor to the library cache at Cowes but I guess that just gives me a reason to come back again another day and I did at least find a few caches on PI [^]
kmace, Rex and I had left her place in the morning knowing that we had to be back at a railway station in the early afternoon. That was about when things like geocaching and massive downpours happened to the time frames and suddenly it was time to leave PI to head for a train
Not before a visit to the chocolate factory though and I highly recommend their hot chilli chocolate on a cold and rainy day! [^]
The journey to and from PI provided 14 cache finds and the opportunity to start working on an EC with a few WPs to visit.
There's a nice stretch of dirt road on the way to and from this cache and that was part of my reasoning for leaving the main road to look for it! [^] Being a letterbox helped too as we all love a nice letterbox for a change [^]
Why was the dirt road important, well.... young Rex needed a run and he hadn't had one today.
A good couple of kilometers up and down a dirt road does a pup a lot of good [^]
As much as finding a cutely decorated letterbox cache does for geocachers [^]

Found this one with locus cache on an aborted trip down to Phillip Island. We got there but then had to go back to get me to an appointment in the city. This was a nice easy find once we negotiated the steepness ce from the road. After signing the log and rehiding it - we took advantage of the country roads nearby to give Rex a good run.
Thanks for the cache surefoot24 and next time I will come down for a decent time and see you (if you are around).

Heading to the Island for a weekend break, we detoured on and off the main drag rather than taking the boring direct route. In doing so we came across many fine sights, properties and geocaches. This is one of those special places. After crossing a loverly old single lane bridge that crosses the nearby creek, we found a safe park and headed to the cache where we were pleasantly surprised. You don't often find caches like this and this great to see. The other surprise was the shelob squatter that was also hiding inside the cache. That made the old heart skip a beat or two. Great spot and a great cache. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams
Fortunately it was dry and, well, I didn't see any snakes. A most beautiful cache. TFTC
Finding it a little hard to plan for which caches to target due to testing on the work site being dependent on others we found they have a problem which meant a caching window suddenly opened up.
As we don’t mind a letter box cache we headed over and son got the final and off we went to find a nice outer container. TFTC

Had a rare free Saturday with the family overseas so I planned a day of caching on Phillip Island. The forecast 40 degree heat didn't deter me though I tried to plan caches without too much walking and of course I avoided the nearby area closed due to fire danger. Having left the island I wanted to pick up a few more on the way home to hit 30 for the day. This was my 27th find and though I found my way there with no problems, I totally over-complicated things and sent myself down several dead ends before spotting this nicely made cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the letterbox cache surefoot24.
After the Bass Welcomes 2018 Event, we travelled with Surefoot24 and Darren who wanted to do a maintenance run on the cache.
I found it a bit tricky to get to ground zero, but found a delightful cache when I did. The cache and log book were both dry, only one Leadbeater possum to be seen.
The trip back up to the car was much easier via the steps.
Thanks Surefoot24 and Darren for the work you've put in to constructing this for our entertainment. Muggle Hubby had made one for me, so he could appreciate the effort entailed. Hope yours doesn't get stolen like ours did!

Checked Fern's Letterbox and did some repairs and refilled supply of stamped papers. Will need to do more to it soon as tree has grown and pushed Letterbox out of alignment.

With encouragement from the CO to do this on my way back to Berwick from Cowes, I was soon heading from the posted coordinates to GZ where a quick find was made. Fern was at home but she was unable to shut her front door.
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.

Out with Zedaycee celebrating our 22 year wedding anniversary. Found this lovely letterbox. I loved fern's little home. a favourite point from me
Lovely letterbox for fern. Went to the wrong side of the bridge first though so had to backtrack to get to it eventually. It's a pity the original stamp is missing. Took one of the copies to put in the book. TFTC
Today we headed out for further caching fun and as always a huge day of fun followed.

A nice little drive and to a nice bridge, not that much water underneath today though. Cache was a great surprise and in good condition. Tftc.

Today was my monthly outing with Biggles Bear, this time joined by Kiwideb. We headed to Phillip Island to attack the new Treasure Island series. We didn't expect to finish (and we didn't), but did a couple of extra caches along the way. We started at the published location, not realising this was not GZ. We used the given co-ordinates of the cache to go straight there for a quick find.
My thanks to surefoot24 for the cache.

Lovely country to be driving around on a still, mild day - haven't been to this part before. Interesting that we could just about do this cache without a GPSr - wonder how that snuck through the approval process ?
Loved the finished product.
Thanks surefoot24.
