Quick find because it was just out on the ground. We have hidden it a bit more. Needs new log cause its gotten wet. Thanks!
Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying in PA for a couple of days. Beautiful walk to gz to record our visit. Thanks for the hide.
Found on a sunny but cool morning with richlink as part of our annual caravan geocaching trip.We loved exploring beautiful Melrose and a lovely stroll to the cache.
Lovely walk to this cache and some reading as well as being on Mawson Trail. TFTC. The highlight was the guinea fowl family that we encountered before starting the trail. Such lovely birds. TFTC
Out early on the trails to beat the heat. Made this cache harder than it was. . TFTC
Found it have replaced with a new Sistema container and left a little bit of swag. It is a bit larger sorry if anyone wants to swap it.
Quick find while passing through the area.
Logbook absolutely saturated.

Thanks for the cache, MelroseWildDogs. As previous cachers have noted, the container is in bits. Easy find.
A quick diversion while escorting a group of about 50 teenaged cyclists doing part of the Mawson Trail. Tftc
A quick find whist doing the nearby new multi. New cache needed here. Watch out for Madame Redback cache guardian. TFTC
Found this one in a beautiful part of the Melrose Nature Trail. Great day. The cache was found quickly but it was in pieces and the log was outside of the container. Replaced as best we could but definitely needs a new container as the current one is not water tight. Found bird's grave same as previous finder. Very strange! TFTC
A trip to Melrose is usually filled with a mixture of ourdoor pursuits - camping, hiking, mountain bike riding and of course, finding the occasional cache.
Today, while the boys were out riding the trails, the girls form the Kelton Krew and The Kettles went for a more leisurely ride and found the caches in town. Cache was easily found, but had a dead magpie next to it. Cache container is in pieces, so it needs a new one.

Out for an afternoon ride to find some caches. Nice easy find, a dead magpie was guarding it and the container was in pieces. Needs a new one. TFTC

Thanks anyway

Melrose is the stop today for Bike SA’s Outback Odyssey. Time to get of the bike and find some GCs. Thx students
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Making my way towards South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
Making my way north west along various routes find a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
Arrived at my destination for the night which is Melrose and after setting up the van it was time for a walk around the town and to find a few caches.
A nice spot at the base of Mt Remarkable to enjoy the stay.
This was the second one to find after a nice walk along the walking trail, I wonder how often the creek flows as it was bone dry today.
I soon added my name to the log and I was on my way again.
Thanks MelroseWildDogs TFTC.

The three of us headed up north for a caching weekend, to attend events in Peterborough, Melrose and Clare over three days. We had a great caching trip and found 36 caches along our travels.
Mr Tardis rode his mountain bike to this one, through the rocky creek.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache MelroseWildDogs.
PS: Sorry for the late log. I'm slowly catching up with my backlog of finds. If it wasn't for the excellent GSAK software, I would have lost track of many of the caches I've found.

Been a fair bit of rain in last 20hrs.
Should've come here Mon, when only a trickle!
I think the calves are gonna get a wash getting to the cache 80m away on the other side...

Clearing the last of our Melrose Unfounds noticed the container had a cracked lid and had been wet inside. Replaced and attempted to give it some shelter with a piece of old iron sheeting.
