Was waiting for it to get dark to do the nearby night cache and thought I should come over and get this one.....but second "The Seers" fail today. Then I read the logs.....perhaps the CO needs to visit this one as well.
Found plenty of suspect items that fit the hint, but nothing turned out to be the cache.
Knew exactly what we were looking for (we think) and gave it 20 minutes hunting but no luck. Four months of no logs in an inner city cache is a bit suspicious, but we gave it a go anyway. We did find a lovely little bird's nest with a clutch of tiny brown and blue eggs in it. Moved on after that.
Had to make a quick find after work and decided to go for this. Ooops.. searching took longer than I expected as it was pretty wet and muddy as its raining and pouring and old man is snoring [:o)] . I guess I missed bumping into The Menzies.. tftc The-Seers.
It was our first time at this reserve - pity the weather wasn't great when we were here. Rain held off long enough for the kids to have a quick play on the playground then we headed down the trail to gz. I had wondered what the clue pertained to but quickly figured it out as we walked to gz. GPS off in the trees, so it was just a case of figuring out which one. A pen on the ground signaled we must be getting close. Soon had it in hand - cache is missing its lid so it's very wet inside. Had to dry the waterproof paper off before we could write out names. TFTC - fav point for the camo.
An easier find second time around during daylight. GPS took me straight to GZ this timeTftc
Had a good look around GZ without any luck, so sat down and had lunch. Went through the logs during the break, and suddenly saw ther light, so back GZ, and there it was.
Took the nephews out for a quick run in the park and to grab this cache. Figured out what we'd be looking for and the search commenced. Didn't take too long to uncover the hidden item. TFTC! Even found a hunt on our way to the GZ
Having a great day caching on my own. Sometimes that's alright, sometimes it's better in company.. but today the cache was easily spotted. No lid, and the paper was damp but still writable though. All good here..
After a long evening of hockey games and a very involved night (Knight) cache on the east side, I decided to pop by and give this cache a go with my daughter. After a short search I spotted something that seemed like it would be a good place to hide the cache. Our first pass over it turned up nothing so we continued looking around. Then I stepped back over and discovered that we had uncovered the cache without even recognizing it. Wow...totally missed the connection with the hint! TFTC! #947
Was over this way dropping EIR-0T in Avondale for a drama rehearsal and decided upon a little walk caching and settled on this area.
The weather was holding and there were not tooo many mugglers and dogs around given it being a Sunday and all.
Arrived at GZ and not having good GPS guidance with the phone reverted to Google maps to pinpoint and a quick find was made.
Have experienced this hide before...thankfully as it would have taken me a while otherwise.
I see the CO visited the park today and checked caches so I will not comment on cache status.
TFTC.
and to have met you at the next cache.

Checked, still in place. Will have to replace kid at some stage but all is well.
Tried a night search for this with kw12. Searched for quite a while but no luck for us.
Another good find with Just-Lookin while in the area today.
We enjoyed the walk down to this one - no top and log damp but signed ok
Thanks for the fun!

I just had to find the tree that tied the hints together, then I found the cache. The container is open, so the log is getting wet. I replaced it so the rain will not hit the log directly. TFTC.
Third time lucky for me! I must have fully examined every tree in the vicinity before I clicked what the title meant. Even then I couldn't find it for some time. Doh! I've found caches with this camo before but just couldn't locate this one for some reason. TFTC.
After a days caching around South Auckland, yorkshirekiwi83 and I stopped at Heron Park on the way back to her place. This was a nice quick find and a nicely camoed cache! TFTC!

Vistra and I went out to make the most of the day, on our way home and we pass this park, so decided to quickly grab up and grab these caches. TFTC

Found it together with my friends. Actually this was their first geocache experience. Really nice one. Thanks for the cache!
Found my lost long GSP beginning of the year and took it as a sign to look for some caches this year. After looking at the maps, this one was practically on the park where I take my little one for her play. It made it to my list to do for today. Little one stayed back home as the weather was not so good and I walked down to this park. After getting the signal from the GPS I started my search at the most likely place and bingo!
I forgot to bring a pen with me so I scribbled my initials with some mud and stick.
Thanks for the cache.

We got your hint, maybe as we have also thought of doing this! Nice hide and quick find. Note that the lid will need replacing as looking a bit broken up. Tftc

Didn't get the hint at all but that didn't affect my performance in finding the cache anyhow

Thanks for the cache! Happy New Year!

After "finding twisted" view I made my way back this way. Took the path less traveled and the GPSr lead me to a very likely spot. But it wasn't until I was right on top of GZ that I twigged to what I was actually looking for. Ended up being a quick find. I guess my alternative approach and my timely understanding meant everything fell into place nicely. Cheers for the hide.
We walked back from the Twisted View of Pollen Island and ducked into the Tea Tree bushes to hunt for a pining Heron. Took a bit of searching under the tree cover with our GPS frequently changing from "you're nearly here" to "its over there". Eventually we went a little further "over there" and spotted the hide. Thanks.
I use to live just around the corner and have walked this park often. I knew what I needed to look for straight away from the name and the hint confirmed it. Once my gps had stopped spinning around and decided which direction I should go, I made a surprisingly quick find. Great camo
GPS not much help like previous finder, but had an idea what to look for. Expanded search area a little and woohhooo, cache to hand...cheers V.
Kids had a friend each over for a sleepover last night, so took them all to the park on the droppoff run this morning. Spent about 15min at GZ but ended up calling it quits due to many many dog walking muggles in the area.
Checked on cache while walking GeoDog today. All good. Pine trees can create problems with GPS. Expand out search if need be.
Looked for about 30 minutes, but couldn't find this one. Although I found the bird's nest and saw the mother bird hopping around collecting worms. Also found a strange "Blair Witch" style rectangle structure and an abandoned tree house, but no cache
Found it. Stuck my hand in a nest full of baby birds looking for it. Hope they be ok.
Wow second look seeing as new co ords posted found easily this time no were near were i was searching last visit but all good a smiley now prevails tftc Lokky 1 17 November 2015 17:14
New coordinates spot on! Quick find! It seems that every time I get a cache in this park a new one is published! Tftc
Quick stop off on the way by this one, only limited time for one. Will get twisted another day. Had a good idea what to look for, but so many options available. Finally, the vessel was located, and usual marks entered. TFTC
Felt like a little walk in a park and collect this cache, quick easy find out with Rustynz TFTC.

Searched for ages, continually expanding the search area. Pretty sure I knew what I was looking for and examined several but without luck.
We appear to have visited the area after sp8sm8. We too spent quite a while searching. Found all sorts of cool stuff but just missing the frosty receptacle. We had figured out what we were looking for but it just was not to be discovered. Then purely by chance while looking for something else totally unrelated some distance away, we happened by chance to discover the cache. Nowhere near where the coordinates had us. Am sending the owner a revised set of coordinates.
Out with rebel98 who took me to find the cache, using both the GPS and cgeo to see how they compare. Wrapped up warm as its a bit cold in the park tonight, the clouds over the Waitakere ranges look ominous, change is in the air?
Did not get the hint, but I had another piece of inspiration, and the first place I looked there was the cache. Cool camo, sadly the lid is cracked/damaged. No problems signing the log, thanks for the hide
