Out today with RoddyC, hattzofff and Snickersallan for a fun filled day caching south of the border.

Unfortunately searched everywhere but we couldn't find this one. May need to be checked if still there.

Hint didn't help us.

05-Mar-19
Out with RoddyC, Snickersallan and Patrol14 to  pick up some smiles in the area.  No smiles today but plenty of bites from crawling and flying insects.

hatzofff and I are with Snickersallan and Patrol14 picking off a few caches over the border.

Sorry, blindfreddies, but the four of us couldn't find anything here bar a lipstick tube and a rock that may have had something glued to it at one stage. Even a PAF was no help.

Picked this one up on a lonely Wednesday Afternoon . When I found it the cache was extremely visible and to all intents and purposes it looked like garbage strewn around! I spent a little time to make it hidden so please cachers do likewise . An interesting little spot and great for chidren . TFTC blindfreddies

13-Oct-18
A caching adventure in northern NSW with stortigirls. The weather could have been kinder, but we were out caching and didn't let it bother us too much. I parked the geomobile and we made our way to GZ. There, we followed the instructions and soon spotted the cache. With our names added to the logbook and the cache returned to its spot, we continued on our way. TFTC

I had been out caching around the area with Selva Girls today ona rainy Northern NSW caching adventure day. We pulled up near gz and had to rely on Selva Girls phone as mine had no service in the area. Following the instructions we soon discovered the little village and the container. The geokids are with there grandparents and so had to do this alone. I must have looked lost as the CO came out with a new container to replace the soggy log. Once I opened my eyes I found the little garden / of course I didn’t have to walk through all that smilax! Not certain if I have placed in the right spot but CO can check (with shoes) if not right - TFTC

I didn't have my dog and so could venture into the no dogs and cats domain. Everything was very muddy and the log was a sodden mass of paper see attached photo for proof of being there. Cute little village. Thanks blindfreddies.

Finally able to put this one to bed after 3 or 4 attempts.
Last visit we found the village but no container. Today the container was there but full of water. As a result the log book is sodden.
I managed to scrawl my name in. Needs a more robust weatherproof container.
Thanks

Great spot. GPS took us straight to it. Bushy cave rather than a rocky cave. Just across little creek. But it was rainy. Awsome little fairies.

Kids loved it...took two dinosaurs and left a precious stone and butterfly. Log is very wet. Thanks for the cache.

Found the cache with a new log (thanks to the friendly neighbor who replaced it as the previous one got wet). Cute little garden not too far into snakey territory. Nice little find.

09-Oct-17
Found the cool little fairy garden but couldn’t find the cache. Found the mosquitos as well!!

30-Jul-17
Well, I think I'm slowly getting closer to finding this one but not there yet. Today we made a three pronged assault on this one.
Renroc and I were already caching on the Gold Coast and decided to meet Fergclan to see if we could finally lay this one to rest. We met around 4pm just as the mozzies were getting hungry and decided to read the kids clue.
This really helped and I was able to spot the little village almost immediatly.
The only task remaining was to sign the log and make a hasty retreat from the blood sucking fiends.
Alas we were unable to locate the nice new clear container placed by the CO recently and therefore could not sign the log and claim that smiley with I had really earnt by the half a pint blood donation.
This one has really got me interested and I am now even more determined to find.
Thanks for the challenge blindfreddies. I haven't given up yet.

29-Jul-17
Found the village but were unable to locate the fairy treasure. The mozzies took a fair amount of blood from each of the 3 searchers. Possibly trolls have stolen the treasure.

16-Jun-17
I set off early this morning to find as many caches as I could from Tweed to Pottsville. This cache was so cute. It is wonderful to see such a child friendly cache. TFTC

12-May-17
Out for a mini road trip today because it is too wet for a ride in the forest.

Thanks for the directions to the access for this one. I managed to miss the path way driving by.

A short walk to GZ along the back of the houses. No worries with finding this neat little hide.

A favourite point for this one.Big Grin

02-Mar-17
Have replaced the log book with a new dry one and placed in a larger clear container to avoid it getting wet. Have also placed a few small swaps. If you took the trackable that was placed in it when first listed, please please log it's location and move it on. It is now lost having only been placed once in this cache.

24-Feb-17
Great find, kids loved it

21-Feb-17
Found fairy village but no log anymore needs maintenance

26-Oct-16
Loved this area with no barking dogs allowed. Tried for this one but all I managed to get were a load of mozzie bites - even after using the hint, I had no success. Sad

18-Sep-16
Cute! Tftc :^)

18-Sep-16
We found the log and container a little further away from the village, log was soaked through but scrawled a few notes underneath (I have a picture as proof if need be). Must start carrying spare log books with me! Also I couldn't spot any trackables. TFTC

23-Jul-16
Down from Brisbane for a couple of days to meet the future Out-Law's Parents [^]
IolantheK and I took the opportunity to collect a few caches whilst in the area.
Found a spot where we could park the car and followed a path to the rear of the houses [^]
The previous logs from experienced cachers was a bit of a concern, but with the hint and IolantheK's tenacity we finally found the fairy village Smile
Photos taken, log book signed Cool
The log was soaked but a write on anything pen coped [^]
TFTC blindfreddies Cool

23-Jul-16
T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane visiting extended family, and we had a few free hours today to round up my unfound caches between Pottsville and Kingscliffe Big Grin

We tried to reach the parking co-ords but there is definitely NO ACCESS BY CAR!!! Perhaps the CO can fix the numbers to put the WP on the road? As a suggestion, we left our car in front of #21 (the co-ords are S28° 22.371' E153° 33.768') then walked down the pathway and around behind the houses.

GPS was mental in this area and I don't know why. No matter where we moved to the numbers bounced all over the place Sad We referred to the hint, but it sure had us scratching our heads... In the end I gave up and just wandered around for a while before I finally spotted the "solitary tree". And from that point on the hint made sense. Very pleased to discover the cache, but the logbook was sodden and fallen apart, and we had trouble making our mark. TFTC, blindfreddies.

Have checked Isla's Fairy Village and it is still here and in great condition. Have also left a new trackable for Isla's fairy friends to take.

16-Jul-16
Wish I had looked at the previous logs before I tried to find a park and then a way in. No luck by the last two finders and they have been around for a long time.
No luck for us either.

Thanks

Don't look too hard

18-Apr-16
Needed to follow the clue and then an easy find. Very cute. No negative feedback from us. TFTG.

04-Apr-16
Going to put a negative on this one as I am sorry it is not kid friendly, GZ (by 3 GPS's and two phones) was in a spot that had very thorny vegetation as found by one of our group who had much blood on her legs from scratches when we left, it was found outside that vegetation so please don't take your geokids into the bushes, you do not need to go there. CO maybe needs to check co-ords. Also felt like we were walking in peoples backyards, glad it is done and we have a smilie and don't have to go back.

04-Apr-16
After the extended search - GZ just happened to be where we had been standing close to - cache blindness! TFTC.

04-Apr-16
A very nice area though it is overlooked by a number of houses. GZ was two metres away at one point and I should have looked where those co-ords were pointing but for some reason I persisted looking elsewhere. When we did find it then it had been where my GPS was pointing at one stage. I should have looked there. Thanks blindfreddies for the cache. I felt like a blindfreddy for a time. Got it in the end though. Cheers! [^][^]

09-Jan-16
Looked for a good half an hour. Found some caves made of sticks and knots in the trees but nothing in them. May need maintenance or more clues and photos.

15-Dec-15
I don't want to say we didn't find the cache as we didn't really try - it was nearing lunch - well the kids were all starving apparently, and we thought - oh lets just grab this cache on our way back to camp. we spent far too long driving around looking for a trail in.
We eventually ended up finding the place on the road closest to the cache- only to have houses blocking our way. Do you start the walk on the fire trail behind the pumping station? or is there another spot?
Anyway, we thought we'd try again another time as we had spent our caching time looking for where to start!

While on holidays at Pottsville, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself decided to do a few caches. We searched for this one yesterday with no luck. After getting some hints from a previous finder that we know, we came back today for another look. Yay! We found it! Very cute cache. After seeing the cache I now know what you mean by "the cave". TFTC!

While on holidays at Pottsville, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself decided to do a few caches. We searched everywhere and for ages but couldn't find it. May try again while we are here.

Out and about today for my daily find. Smile
Well, I was going to cycle to this one today ... BUT Jeez it it is SO hot. Surprised
So a rare bit of sensibility kicked in and I drove down. Razz
It took a lap of the block to work out where I could walk in as the Parking attribute is at GZ [?]
But once I got to GZ i started the search, around and around and around I went. Looking here and looking there, all without success. Twisted
I had GZ here and the hint pointed there so I spent WAAAAAAY too long standing between the two .... cursing. Razz Eventually I turned around in frustration and spotted the cache ... less than 2m away. Red Face
Cache blindness at it's best I think. Smile
Thanks for the cache.

*FTF* 11/11/2015 @ 8:00pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time

Noticed this one one was published in the afternoon after a chat on the phone to a Gympie cacher. I haven't ventured down this way much before and thought it would be a good for another early evening drive down the Tweed Coast Road. I hadn't been down this road much before but it always jigs the memories from Byron trips.

I found a place to park near a walking path and hopped out of my vehicle. Must be no cats or dogs in the area because I saw a rabbit hopping down the street. I followed my senses to GZ, only using my torch light occasionally, as I didn't want to arouse the attentions of the people in their homes enjoying their evening television programs. Once I was near GZ and navigated the easement/creek a couple of times, I soon saw the tree described in the hint, the one that stands out on the satellite vision. I was a little bit befuddled at first to locate the hide but then it all made sense when I glimpsed something.

Thanks blindfreddies for the cache, a cute little find yes.
