Out with gnome5580 for a very hot day of caching and since I’m not exactly nimble enough to get through the fence this one was up to her with me shouting moral support from the other side of the fence! Lol unfortunately that just wasn’t enough, she gave a valiant effort but it was just too hot and too well hidden so we just had to give up today but I’m sure we will be back! TFTC anyway!
Hot day out with beckgiz. I slipped through the hole in the fence as stated by others (not for ppl with bad backs or leg issues). Searched and got little cuts all over my hand but didn't find the cache.
Grass has just been cut. Bring some gardening gloves!

After seeing a couple of DNFs here we wernt hopeful but Robmc soon spotted it.
Thanks
Thanks
A pile of puzzles and Wherigos that we had worked on, but not finished was the aim of the caching today. Travelled on this hot day with Howjen567 to see what we could find.
Opps, not a good start to the day - wrong side of the fence. Luckily there was a gap in the fence, and we were through.
A bit of sorting through the grasses turned up the cache (eventually)
Thanks, Robmc.

Got to gz and thought where could it be in all those bushes. Started searching and found it quite quickly in the end after slipping through a hole in the park fence. Sl. Tftc. Thanks for putting a cache here for us to find early on a sunday morning. No tb in the cache when we got there. Cheers.

Finally time for a late lunch after finishing a job nearby. Lunch will have to consist of one or two geocaches.
Parked on the golf coarse access road and found an appropriate hole in the fence to execute a quick find.

Out and about on my day off. I approached this one from the road to the golf course. Luckily for me the broken fence pailings gave me a way in. Searched on one side of the grasses. After confirmation I was on the wrong side, I moved to the other and within no time at all spotted the obvious.

Almost headed in for a round of golf but then decided on a different entry point.
Strolled across the deserted park and began my search.
After a few minutes I moved to the other side and soon had the cache in hand.
Fond memories of our first MEGA.
Attended four now and looking forward to The Parkville Event 2018

Found it easily enough. Probably not the best to search in the dark but I had time to kill. It was my first one and I'm super excited to do more now!

We approached from the wrong direction, but with a gap in the fence due to vandalism we were in the right place. Wow very overgrown with weeds etc, but coords were good and geowife made the find. Log signed and back safe again.

was a fun cache, on a beautiful day. would recommend boots if its been raining.
First went up Golf Links Road, then came back down to get to the next road over... parked easily, quick walk through the deserted park waved my magic wand and there it was! Thankyou for leaving a cache here, its quite peaceful.
A quick and easy find while we were in the area today. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

While out and about searching for caches, this one was found.
The caches in this series are quickly getting archived so as I was nearby, I figured that I should try and find them before they are gone.
I never like the stuff that this one is hidden in but it didn't take to long to find so it was ok.

I think we approached this from the wrong direction but we found it anyway (after a bit of a search).

Shortly after arriving the geocaching app seemed to crash so I had no GPS on this find. However I knew the approximate location so after some looking about I had it signed and returned. I may have seen another cacher driving around in circles in the area. TFTC
Find #2069
Had a work meeting out this way so once I was done I had a little time to spend caching before heading home. After finding all the other active trads in the series I was keen to finish off with the one. Headed to GZ full of confidence but I must admit it took a fair bit of searching to lay my hands on this one. In the end I took systematic search methodology and was finally rewarded very close to where I had been searching all along. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Wiser than Owls / Geocaching Melbourne.

I think my GPS was getting tired and telling me to go home. I got up to the fence and it was saying 13m the other side of the fence on Golf Club Rd. I got in the car and drove around and then it said 13m back on the other side of the fence where I had come from. Grrr... I'll come back again when GPS is over its little tanty. Thanks anyway
Skin a little itchy now from the prickly grasses but the find was made in this quiet little park. SL. Swap made. TFTC Geocaching Melbourne / ahomburg.

I had planned a day out today with a day off work owing to me from Christmas. I was only able to collect a few caches on MEGA weekend. So today was the day to come back here and collect the many puzzles, trads and a few whereigo's. It was an early start to the day, I packed the geo vehicle with the geo bike just in case, plenty of drinks, and a bit of food to keep me going for the day. I stopped for a local morning coffee which was a great kick to get me going into the day...
This was the first of the day for me. I had the park to myself, no muggles about this early. A little searching and after a few minutes, this one was in hand.Stamped and returned as found.
*Thanks for this trad cache, Wiser than Owls* [^]
Log and container in good condition.

It seems like such a long time away from caching with renovations, many work commitments and general business over the last 8 months today was a welcome and fun time out. No real plan today merely get out and cache, took a couple of caches to find our groove managing 29 for the arvo.

I found this cache today at 8:40am as number 1 of 53 on my Australia Day Northern South Gippsland Loop. This series came out on the day of the Mega and I already had too much planned to do that day to do them. I returned today to start with this series and followed TomTom before realising that I was on the wrong side of the fence. A fence with a hole in it though so through I went and spotted my caching nemesis, a spear grass hide. I never seem to get one of these straight up and I was on my third pass before I spotted it. Thanks from D B-A.
I was driving from one place to another place, and decided to stop at this place, and placed our name on the log. Tftv
Found with my bud, Lego Heads. Got a bit scratched up before reading the hint. Der. TFTC!
Yet another night time adventure with rokmum! My first find under our new name that doesn't include 57 thousand numbers after it. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache.
Last cache of the day with Yorsys and we were taken directly to the spot. Accurate coords meant a quick find before we headed off to our various homes.

A nice morning for a few local caches, so we decided to get the late inclusions for the Mega, as these traditionals should be easy to collect.
An easy stroll in these quiet parks and the caches were soon in hand - no muggle problems which was a surprise.

Decided to spend an hour this warm sunny Sunday afternoon picking up easy park'n'grabs in the area. Spent a little while on hands and knees here looking for the bloody container. Geomissus, once again, found it and we had the log signed in a jiffy. Thanks Ahomburg!
Another one done after work. Left some appropriate opposition swaps for where this one is near.
It was all quiet here on a Saturday morning. Wandering across the park I was able to spot the container quite easily as it was sitting on top. After signing the log I returned it a little lower to keep it out of passing view.
Thanks to Geocaching Melbourne for the cache.

Found it with Rachael. Parked on the golf club rd and climbed through the gap in the fence. Stupid Idea as we could have a parked on the street next to the park on lawless drive.
Well, this was a challenge, I would like to say the bushes have prickles and you do not have to enter the garden.
This was not a hard cache it was hidden well and others would find this one quite easy, GZ was again spot on and we could not fault the GPS as the skies were clear and the sun was warn, some people love this kind of weather, Me myself would rather a little cooler, does not matter had fun walking through the parks came across some muggles looking on but they soon lost interest in what we were doing.
Thanks Wiser than Owls had a great day, got us out for a little while.
This cache was a prick to find, log book ok.
Again just a mention about the log bags place then back folded instead of pushing then in so others have trouble getting then out thanks guys

Out on a bit of an adventure with GrunpyGramps1 tonight whilst he is here from overseas. After collecting a few last week in the area after the mega event I thought we better get back. Lots of easy finds tonight and a pleasant escape. TFTC
began reacting to the grass as I was crawling around looking for it. this one is probably a 2 person job for me.
FTF @ 9.09am with Locus Cache, hevwalker 12, Freddo & Semik. Mad rush from breakfast table after seeing alert. This did require a victory dance after two 2TF's in the series - our strategy paid off!!! Have to give this one a Favourite as it was my first ever FTF in a different country - so thanks to the group of mad Aussies who helped me get it and TFTC Wiser than Owls

Day two of the Mega and I had my two boys tagging along today for some caching fun. Another great day to be out and about. We found a few caches early in the day before attending the event, then we headed back out again to grab a few more later in the afternoon.
We had some snags for lunch at the Mega and did some socialising before heading out for a couple of hours to try and find the caches in this series. Thanks Wiser than Owls - we found them all and along the way bumped into many a fellow cacher.

Did someone say MEGA[?] Did someone say Melbourne[?] Did Freddo say 'travel to the Melbourne Mega with me'[?]
Did I say 'No'[?] You bet I bloody did NOT!!!!
So today was the fourth day of our escapade as hevwalker12, Freddo and I cached around Melbourne for the 2015 Mega! [^]
Sitting at the table and my phone pinged with newly published caches near the Mega site After a bit of coercing, it was agreed that a FTF run was on [^]and I grabbed MacPacMum too as we raced out the door...well, as raced as we could with some of the group not realising it was a FTF run
So Freddo, hevwalker12, MacPacMum, SEMIK and I headed for the new series. [^]
Today's caching tally was 3DNFs , 2 FTFs and 46 smilies
Heading to this cache was a great idea as we managed to get *FTF* even if we did come in on the wrong side of the fence and had to use the hole in the fence method of getting into the park
So cool to get a FTF at a Mega and to be able to share it with a lovely geocacher from another country who had been ever so kind and patient with a very pushy locus while I was there enjoying the New Zealand Mega.
Thanks for this nice little series and a great start to our caching day

We picked up this smiley on our way back to Casey Fields after the Sunday CITO, during Victoria's First Mega! A weekend to catch up with geo-friends, learn how to do lots of new geo-stuff, look for many new and different types of caches and of course have a lot of FUN!
Our thanks to Wiser than Owls for contributing to the success of this weekend.

FTF @ 9:09 with Freddo, locus cache, Semik & Mac Pac Mum... Doing a little FTF dance...
Over in Melbourne for the Mega with Freddo & locus cache. These notifications came through. We were almost ready to leave for the days activities anyway & this series was only a few minutes away so with a bit more enthusiasm than usual we headed out with Semik & Mac Pac Mum to see if we could grab some FTF & we got this one. Thanks for the nice quick find Wiser than Owls.
