Jesswrigley and I were staying for an extended weekend just outside Cape Jervis, and today was our first day hiking in Deep Creek Conservation Park. We initially visited Blowhole Beach and did some walking around there, before backtracking and hiking from Cobbler Hill Campground to Aaron Creek Beach collecting geocaches. A massive 30,000 steps walked today!

Funnily enough, we had a Canadian visitor who we were showing around a few days earlier, and we discussed what a group of kangaroos were called. It did seem like a mob was the common term, but did you know that a group of kangaroos were also called a troop, or a court? I hoped that a court would be more popular, as that was similar to the kangaroo courts that we had during sporting trips away that were had before big nights out.

Upon approach, there seemed an obvious pile of rocks that screamed out for a cache underneath. So probably the quickest cache that we found today. Now, if only I could approach Brad&Janet puzzles with such speed, haha, thanks.

A big day out with Freddo and Four Fun.

Trees were climbed, one really big tree, bush walks were had, up a really big hill and lots of driving around the Fleurieu.

Lots of roos around today. They weren't worried by us.

The mob of roos has moved to the top of the hill. In their place was a flock of butterflies and some wrens. Very pretty location. Easy cache find.

Spent a wonderful day down at Deep Creek, firstly doing the Aaron Creek Circuit Hike (grabbing caches along the way) and then to Blowhole Beach (grabbing all the caches down there).
The coords for this cache were spot-on. Found and signed log. The area around Eagle Waterhole is gorgeous - well worth the walk.

Our third and last hike in this wonderful Deep Creek area.
The mob of roos certainly made their presence felt this morning. There must have been at least 100 of them all over the field. Plenty of them with little joeys in their pouches. Some still grazing, others getting ready for the afternoon siesta.
When we returned to this area three hours later they were all gone although a few of them were still asleep under nearby trees.

An unexpected FTF while down for 3 days camping. Up early to do some of the loop heading to the waterhole and blowhole beach we found this on the way. A beautiful location and a steep hill heading back up! The views are amazing and well worth the hike. Many thanks for bringing us here SL TFTC

Happened to be down this way for the weekend and this one popped up this morning! Smile Ironically driving past the trail head as the email notification came through, 2 hours after publishing.
So a slight change of plans and we headed here and then on to Hawkes Nest, for a lovely walk, downhill! lol
Saw plenty of mobs along the way, but none at GZ this morning at 0913! Bugger.
Found easily at 0m for a FTF.
Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through also.

Thanks B&J
