Nice cool start to the day. I decided to grab a couple of caches on this hill. Some muggle seen exercising here also.Cache located and log signed. All returned as found.
Nicely hidden with views as well .Found and signed .Great hide and cache location. Many thanks
Caching around Canberra for a while longer. TFTC. A nice collection of antiques. Very different type cache.
Our group set off for the walk to GZ but I wasn't sure that I would make it so sent off to make the find. I managed to make it to GZ just as they had found the cache and soon after, the log was located. Thanks for the cache and the views.
The five of us set off for the stroll to GZ. One of us wasn't feeling up to tackling the finish so the rest of us pushed ahead. Pleased that the stray member made it just as the cache was found. Once the log was found and signed, the cache was returned as found and we were on our way. Thanks for placing the cache for all to find.
This Easter has been an adventure with a mega wedding, volcano eruption, witch hunt and tour of the deep space station! After a quick lunch break it was time to go go gadget arms and legs and walk up towards this cache.it was a novel nostalgic idea and took a few passes and team work to find the log.signed as Team GPORK Geoturtle Papi OzHockeyChick RoamingHowie And me!
Canberra Geobash Road Trip 2024. Day Seven: Deep Space tour at Tidbinbilla, with a few targetted caches either side. We enjoyed the walk up to this gz where we were faced with an unexpected cache. We all participated in the search for the logbook, and Papi4506 was the one who found it. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, TheSkype ~~
Day #7 Geobashing We were off to the Deep Space Tour today as well the CITO so targeted specific Canberra caches along the way with OzHockeyChick, kristysadventures, papi4506 and GeoTurtle37. Signed as GPORK.A clever gadget cache here at GZ.A big thanks goes to TheSkype for taking the time to add The Power of Gadgets to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we took a drive around Canberra, visiting various stores for art and clothing supplies, interspersed with finding some target high favourite point and old caches. An enjoyable way to spend the day.A nice walk up to the cache and a handy rock to sit on as we searched methodically for the logbook. Thankfully, it was hidden in the manner I was hoping and it was just a case of finding it.Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more caches in the Mt Taylor area including the Adventure Lab, some puzzles solved in 2021 that I havent had a chance to get to and some challenging multis. Lots of fun here, with a clever hiding spot for the log, which took at least 10mins to find. A fun challenge. FP4U.Found this cache and signed the log. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance!
I appreciate the cache but you must remove all the batteries. Batteries are full of acid and other harmful chemicals and the batteries are corroded and leaking. Not suitable for children. I would have done it myself but I didnt have a container to put them in.
A really fantastic geocache. My dad (Badja) and I really enjoyed it. I was in the area a few weeks ago and spotted this on the radar. On that day it was 34 degrees heat, there was no way we were going to attempt it in the heat. So we waited for the temp to be 19 degrees and we climbed up and up and up. Until we discovered the geocache! When I read the description of this geocache I was imagining something completely different to what it ended up being, I was still pleasantly surprised! Thanks again, ChocMint
This was a lot of fun!
Ventured on my own after some morning Adventurelabbing near by.
I’ve never seen an electronic sudoku before! What?!
Thanks TS for the cache, very clever

Found with lananotgreen on our third pass through the gadgets. I had even inspected the logbook but lana spotted something I'd missed. Very fun. TFTC
Decided on the spur of the moment to take a wander on Mt. Taylor this afternoon, and to check out a few caches.
This cache was easily located after a short bush-bash. I had an inkling of what to expect, and so it was! I have owned a variant of most of the items located within and it was not lost on me that the majority of these devices are defunct - replaced by a single device that some people love more dearly than their first-born. Who knows - maybe the next iPhone/Android will incorporate a label printer?!
Thanks for the cache, The Skype - a great cache indeed!

TFTC. I remember having most of those gadgets. Still have a calculator. Had a am/fm radio and the camera for a long time. Quick easy find.
Found! Thank you to the CO for confirming the existence of the log. I really must have just overlooked it! This time I found it and added my name (to a blank logsheet) at last.
Cache and logbook is back up and running. Just watch out for ants, spiders, horse flies and mosquitos...
I'm pretty sure I have found this one before (and stupidly did not log it) but on returning today I could not find the log in any of the gadgets.
Will wait until someone else confirms existence of the log before I try again.

TFTC. Cache was found but unable to sign the log as I may not have had the tools needed or I am just a bad spy. Pic sent to CO.
The geo boys started school holidays and what a better way to start then walking the geo hounds and grabbing some caches on a beautiful winters day.
Boys enjoyed looking through the gadgets.
Cache did no have log book so we put a spare paper in with our name.

#2231 After making my way up to GZ the main container was quickly located. Found a comfortable seat as I worked my way through the options. It wasn't until my second attempt that the container and log were finally spotted. Thanks TheSkype for a fun cache.
Clever and fun cache. The one gadget I struggled to open was the one gadget I was most suspicious of and ended up being the cache container.
TFTC! Favourite point from me.

Found and signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure
Really nice day to get out and spent a few minutes going through the gadgets before discovering the well concealed log. Great day for a walk in the bush. Tftc
My first cache for the day. Had to spend some time here going through the process and trying to find the log before being totally frozen through. Log found, signed and replaced. All good. TFTC
This was a fun one with the kids! We went through all gadgets twice before after a more thorough search, found the cleverly hidden log.
Thanks this was great!
Thanks this was great!
Wow what an amazing cache!! I loved the gadgets in here as a kid! Cant believe its survived so long tbh! Thank you for this cache the log is missing btw so picture evidence
Found this one around 4:30pm this afternoon on an afternoon walk along the base of Mt Taylor. What a cool, unique cache idea. Found a few “find the logbook” caches before, but this one is by far the most inventive. It took us probably 10 minutes or so of checking and every imaginable crevice, before finally we spotted something that seemed out of place.
A bit of water had leaked into the container in the past few storms it seems, but everything is still in fine condition and the log itself is undamaged.
Thanks for the cache TheSkype!

This was really nifty. Took a while... Then forgot a pen lol. But found it. Thankyou!!
After a nice sleep over at the Bungendore race course I am now meandering my way to a event in Kambah. Good use of power!

Glad for the CO's help finding this one. Ran out of patience and body heat first time we were here. Much more straightforward the second time around. Should have gone with my initial instinct. Thanks for the cool cache.
Adventure weekend down in Canberra with BarberBlackSheep, ruined my favourite shoes getting to this one Great cache how fun! TFTC

Great setup. I had to rush my search due to rain but mercifully I had the log in hand fairly quick. TFTH
What a great cache! Easy to make the find on a nice winter's day, but it took two of us 10 minutes of sorting and trying gadgets to locate the log. An innovative and fun hide - thank you so much!
Another weekend, another day out caching with Aquilus1. This was probably the first day however where we were mostly picking up caches for her and not me.... its what happens when I am 2000+ finds behind.
Mt Taylor it was, and I wore the long pants as it was foggy this morning... they werent a great help by the time it warmed up, in the sun.... oh well, I will likely switch back to the camo shorts for next weekend.... they also have other benefits beyond just being shorts!!
We started in the nest of trads underneath Mt Taylor before heading east picking up puzzles & multi's. After a sumptuous feast for lunch we finished on the longest cache for the day which seems missing but logging with permission.
I had been here before, and suspected the nature of the hide, but came up short. Not so today!

E E E E EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE [Found!] at 1:17pm:
The start of clearing Mount Taylor happened today. Using the advantage of a public holiday. We spent around 4 hours walking up and down the mountain. Until we had to stop.
First, I need to add a favourite for this. It is such a great idea! Found the cache easily and had to sort through 5 gadgets until something caught my eye. Opened the TOP SECRET and the cache was found, opened and signed.
TFTC TheSkype
p.s I am a big video game fan. I can't live without a wii remote

First cache we found for a while and this was a lot of fun! Great idea and some good views while we are at it. Favourite point from us. Tftc!
This has been on my to-do list for a while, I was in the area waiting to pick up my kids from an appointment so I looked to see if there were any nearby caches to do while I waited. This one was close so what better time to do it. I had an idea in my head of what it would be and I should have trusted that thought because it turned out the hide was exactly what I thought it would be but it still took me 2 times through all the gadgets to find it!
Thanks for a very fun and different cache with good views as well. Of course when I put everything away I turned to go and saw I had left 2 gadgets out! Dont worry I put them back.

A fun day climbing up and down and around Mt. Taylor with Joolay, MinnieK, GLISS!, Fitzy_1965, and Tank engine (who came along for the walk, to check his caches).
TFTC - I had found this 2 1/2 years ago, I enjoyed finding the cache and the log then, and I enjoyed watching others looking for the log today
Ok - time to head back to our cars, and head for the CITO, up the other end of town (up near where I live).
When I have posted this note, I will check to see if I added a FP, and add one if I didn't

Well well well this was in interesting last cache for the day. Lots of options to choose from and I can see why people have difficulties with this one. But I have seen the type of log before and with MinnieK, GLISS, Fitzy_1965 (who already has most of them), Aykayam and Tankengine (who joined for the walk and to check on his caches) the log was soon found, signed and returned. Oh to go and sit down. TFTC
Out and about today with Joolay, GLISS! and AyKayEm to tackle Mt Taylor.....accompanied by fitzy_1965 & Tankengine.
Last one on the Mt. Easy find of the main container....now to find the log. Three of us started a meticulous search before fitzy came up with the clever find.

18,740. Found this one during a climb up and around Mount Taylor today with minniek, GLISS!, Joolay, Tankengine and Aykayem.
Joolay put the call out - let's climb Mount Taylor - and stupidly (lol) we said Sure ! This was about my 8th (?) trip up the mountain for caching even though there was only one GC cache on offer for me. The company made it all worth while. After finishing up top down we went for some skirt caches. This was the final one on the mountain for us today - and it was a fun one. It took 2 times through the gadgets until the log was located - phew !
Thanks TheSkype !! Fav Point !

Found with fitzy_1965, minniek, joolay, tankengine & aykayem. Our last find for today on Mt Taylor. Thanks for a fun cache to finish off.
Found cache but not logbook. All items were in case except torch which was on the ground.
After a previous DNF it was time to revisit with reinforcements (& a tip) to find this one. Very sneaky and still took some searching, even with an extra clue! TFTC - fav point added. Thanks also for the company 2BluFish.
Out finding a couple of caches with Tealby - have been past this one before but couldn't get too close as there were a lot of muggles about. Second try was successful - finding the cache easy - but then finding the log took a bit of time - but its there all right just need a bit of lateral thinking and checking out each gadget.
Love these type of traditional brain teasing caches. Thanks TheSkype.

There's some nostalgia in this cache! Found the cache easily, then spent ages trying to find the log. Had some time pressure, so resorted to asking a previous finder for a tip & log was then soon found. TFTC! Fave for me as well.
