A day out for some solid caching, trails running from Goomaling to Northam and return, with some Northam caching as well. Signing as SAA, for sacada, albida, Aquilus1. Caches found with good coords and in good order. Great day out, thanks for the cache!
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA and down to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield National Park, Wyndham, the Gibb River Road, Monkey Mia, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Laverton, Warburton, Kargoorlie, Westonia & Goomalling.TFTC. Signed as SAA for sacada, albida & Aquilus1. A great day grabbing a power trail and lots around the Northam area.Nice quick stop and grab.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 70 - Goomalling Day. The day was a little overcast, but it has been a very cold night. Not freezing, but cold enough. I was joined by Sacada and Aqulus1 today as we did a trail south to Northam. We did some Labs in Northam and a few caches which were along the way or near th labs. Lunch was at one of the Northam bakeries before getting back in the car to head back to Goomalling via the second half of the cache trail. A great day with friends normally on the other side of the country. The evening turned wet and I stayed inside to cook dinner. This was an odd version of a church. The gps was pointing further over, but I had left my phone in the car and checked the spot which ended up hiding the cache. Signed and returned. Thanks for the cache Bristag48293.45 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Lackey ktayor211 A#500**Albida**
Long weekend road trip out to the Wheatbelt to finish off a series I started last year and also pick up some extras along the way. I hadn't read the description too closely so was looking for an actual church when driving past so overshot the entrance track. Seeing no church anywhere I pulled the car over to have another read and thought ah ok, let's give that another go Navigation blip solved, I pulled up at GZ and was pleased to make a quick find. Interesting location which I would never have found otherwise! All ok here - TFTC
I just thought a bison with a pencil must be rather big. Then I saw it thought that's too small for a pencil. No, there was one. Didn't do a good job on the glossy paper though and to my surprise my pen was doing more than engraving this time. TFTC
Out in Northam with familysteiner. A few caches to grab after Magic Maker event tftc
Find 54 of 61 on a super day in and around Northam. Started with a 30km bike ride looping out to Spencers Brook and back on the Kep, before the Maker Magic event and a nice luncheon. Then back out for a little loop ride around town and some impromptu FTF dashes before jumping in the car for some odd ones on the way home. Massive thanks to all the CO's but especially geotrakka and jasenjanine for placing and maintaining so many caches for our entertainment.
First to this one but walked past it so that the Orrsome Family could find it .
TFTC Bristag!

In town for a couple of geo events and grabbing a few caches as we go.
Just read the name of this cache and told Mr dimor to look for the church, well that wasn't going to happen so we overshot the driveway a little.
Nice easy find. Teeny tiny pencil is still there

The co ordinance are a little off but easier enough. Is a tiny tiny pencil but I would say being a pen with you
Couple of days off work this week, so making the most of a wet day I headed out to some newly published caches near Northam, instead of doing the jobs I should have been doing.
An interesting bir of history here. Cache was in excellent condition. Worth the stop and for probably the first time today it was raining. Almost got myself in a pickle as the road edges were very soft. Cheers Bristag!

Getting a few caches in Northam before driving to York. Enjoying the caches and the area. York is a nice town
Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.
Headed in to Northam today to do some shopping and stocking up. Managed to grab a few caches along the way. A great variety today. Headed back to Toodyay in the drizzle, a bit of a change from the last few days of 37degrees.
As has been reported previous the log was mush. We have replaced it whilst here. All good now.

Last cache for the day as Muggle Husband was tiring. This was a nice easy find, which was very popular with his lordship, who was keen to get home to his book.
Day 2 of WAGB22 week, and went to finish the GG Series in Northam and cleaned up the town of Northam, then cached to Toodyay and made a huge dent in that town.
Made 51 finds in total with 1 DNF today.
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing maintaining their hides.

I love how caching allows us to find this stuff.
Interesting location. I found the pencil which threw me off. A few squares before I found it. Nowhere near the pencil. The pair are back together. TFTC

Took a bit to find but we found it! Forgot a pen though great hiding spot!
What better way to spend a long weekend than packing up the car and heading off on a road trip? We made plans to meander our way to Northam and camp there overnight before setting sail for home. This was one of the caches we had targeted for the day and we also had some GCA caches, Waymarks and Adventure Labs on the radar. Cheers and TFTC.

Hi there Bristag.
We found your cache **"St James church"** today. (This makes our find count 22579).
We are staying in York and attending the WAGB Event in Northam. Today we started off by attending the CITO, then we popped out to sign this cache as well.
We found 3 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Quick spot by Mrs copwat on our WAGB weekend. Thanks for a bit of a history lesson TFTC
Geobuddy marke8183 picked me up from home at about 6am to head out to the Northam area for WAGB weekend. No problems finding this one which was one of about 80 smileys for the weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who contributed to a great weekend of caching. Cheers Bristag.
We arrived and 2 other teams were in attendance which made for a veey easy find for us.
A cool historic spot, thanks for bringing us here.

A great spot! Learnt a little history too! Had to park the car on the road and trek on up due to recent grading of a firebreak I think, another great spot!! TFTC
Outnabout with Team Bastholm and JAM1511 in Northam for WAGB19. Easier than expected.
Parked and grabbed on our way back into town for the next WAGB event. TFTC Bristag
What an interesting place. So much story to tell. All good at the cache. Thank you for bringing us to this monument.
