With some personal health challenges in recent years and growing kids with diverse sporting commitments, maintenance is not as achievable as it used to be. Indeed, my involvement in any form of geocaching in general is pretty limited at present, so I will create some space on the board on focus on ALs, which I dont need to maintain!

Find #1759I have solved all of these puzzles but some are difficult to find as they havent been found for a while. Seeing this cache found not long ago I came with techsavvy9 today and we made a quick find at GZ. Cache in good condition. The log was damp but fine to sign TFTC

While in Newcastle we did end up finding at least one of these cache.
I did plan on doing them all in the time I was up there but time does run out eventually and plans do change. The weather was amazing in our little trip up there with the sun shining most of the time, but without a vehicle it is a bit hard to get out and about.

Thanks for this cache the garbageman

Got the coordinates, a lot of them on the map, then how to get to it? Hard way in (not too hard) easy way out. Read the previous logs and expanded the search area. It then became fairly obvious. TFTC

The puzzle had me stumped, and i could not see the forest for the trees. A litle hint from the CO helped me along. Haydos101 finally got a game in, at Warners Bay, and i thought this would be a quick drive by. Had to extend the search area around gz, but found it i did. TFTC.

15,668. Found during the OZGeomuster 2018 with minniek and Family - and today's addition to the car was Albida33.

Mega Day 3 - Headed out early after a yummy Scout-supplied Bacon & Egg Roll. Our aim was a loop of the lake targeting a selection of caches, including this Bigger Boat series. Next stop of the day. Parked nearby and walked to GZ for the find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Thanks to all of the COs for their caches !!

A big day caching with friends today as we continued geocaching while being in the area for the MEGA. Many hours already invested with puzzle solving we were glad the finds were not too difficult to make. We signed the log MC Team to save space in the logbooks which will be taking a beating this weekend. Many thanks the_garbageman for these caches!! They are in great locations around the lake. Cheers!

Oz Geo Muster weekend Easter 2018. Day 3. Today I headed out with Fitzy_1965 and Minnek for a lap around Lake Macquarie and lots of caching in the bright sunny heat of the central coast. This was the second series we took on today, and all the hides proved interesting and some a real challenge.

Thanks.

I had worked out all the puzzles prior to leaving home 790 klm away and armed with the corrected
co ordinates it was time to complete this series. Used youngoldfella in most of the logs but used YOF in any log sheet that was small or micro to conserve space on the paper. The series was great fun and some hides were easy some where tricky and one you got set. Pick the tide for this done. Apologies for the boiler plate logs. TFTC the_garbageman

The eleventh find of the day. This series was one solved before the mega event in an attempt to find all the caches in all the geoarts. We decided to give this series a crack before the event at lunch time and that turned out to be a good call. As we made our way around the lake, Loci612, buhfuhguh and I racked up the finds on this series. Each find had its own little challenge which made this series memorable and we were lucky enough to have found them all. TFTC the_garbageman!

Today was the first official day of the mega event and myself, Cankid and buhfuhguh woke up nice and early and were off by 7am. We had a pretty huge day planned which consisted of completing the "Bigger Boat" series, finding a few of the rare virtuals, attending the flash mob and then spending the rest of the afternoon doing the highly anticipated "OZGM" geoart.

We had a long and tiring day but by the end of it we managed to complete every single cache on our list and were thrilled by the results! Thanks to all the hiders and organisers! Cache specific log below.

*P.S* - Signed as **LBC** in the logbook. ( **L** oci612 , **B** uhfuhguh, **C** ankid)

*End of cut & paste*

Another hide in the series I can't quite place my finger on, but by memory it was a quick find at GZ!
Thanks Smile

So finally, after 5 weeks of torture I have hit the mid semester break for Monash University. And luck for me that it coinsides the Geomuster this year, so after working hard over the holidays I was able to put some money aside for my 4th mega event. Arriving to Newcastle Airport late on the 30th I only had a couple days off before heading home on the tuesday morning. Meeting lots of familiar faces and meeting many new faces was a major part of my first mega out of my home state. Eitherway with lots of caches done this weekend and not enough time to write up detailed logs for all of them (mainly due to my 3 3000 word geology reports due after my week break). But eitherway thanks for the caches/ event I had an absolutely amazing weekend this weekend and cannot wait for my next trip to the beautiful NSW and especially the astounding Lake Macquarie area.

#4929 (7 of lots and lots today)

After registering at the Geomuster I had two days of caching. Too many to comment on individually - if I'm to retain my sanity. So here is the cut and paste version!
So many there were times we just assigned one person to do logging duties - those saved seconds really add up compared to passing the log around!

Day 1 was Puzzle Day. A few sets were nabbed and it's really useful to have a squad watching your back. The finds just fly by. Mind you, the facts a number of them were park and grabs helped up the numbers.

The first day also included an event near the Geomuster site - I suspect the Club didn't know what hit them once we arrived in great numbers. What any club members normally there thought...

Day 2 was Lab Cache / Traditional Day. Of course other cache types were in the mix including a Virtual. A lot of driving around getting the Lab Caches (can I say the chips in the establishment near the Flash Mob were very generous in quantity and quite tasty as well).
After a series of traditionals in the bush at Mt Hutton it was time for me to head home.

Thanks to **TARDIS0061**, **EverestHigh**, **Brewmaker**, **The Bebes**, **Team Merlin** and **phlhotos** for the finds this weekend.
Of course thanks also to the Geomuster Committee.

Top time had. I'll have to do this again some time.

Now having caught up with all of the crew we tried to find as many caches as we could in a 12 hours of daylight this one fitted into our plan of attack so pulled over to get this one. A solution, which was nice and easy, for this one was made so it was included in areas we wanted to get too. Too many caches in a short period means copy paste gets used yoo often (about 100 in 12 hours)

Found the cache. We all signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle series & getting me to come to this area after caches the garbageman

Hard to know whether to say that's an easy puzzle or a hard one...... it's definitely a sneaky one though.

Went to search for the cache with maccamob, DiMorgan, pprass and The Morris (D3 for today) and it was Bill/DiMorgan who walked straight to it. TFTC the_garbageman.

We are now camped at Morisset for the Geo Muster at Easter with our interim caravan.
Today we joined in with 4 other teams to primarily tackle the We're gonna Need a Bigger Boat series before it gets crazy at Easter.
A group of us had worked on the puzzles - man some of these were mind benders but with some persistence they were all solved for the event.

All logs have been signed with the infamous camping spot team name of D3 + Maccamob.

Found at 2:01 PM GAFF1 in the company of The Morris, DiMorgan, geono and today maccamob. We signed our name as "D3" in the log sheets - which is the area that we are staying at the showgrounds Smile
A very deceptive simple puzzle - giving it an FP.
Thanks the_garbageman.

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, The Morris, DiMorgan and geono (all logging as D3), at 1400. A fairly easy puzzle in hindsight, but not at first. Another fairly quick find. Even a bigger boat wouldn't be much use here though. Our thanks to the_garbageman.

Found with a muggle friend on a lovely weekend staying up at Lake Macquarie. Worked these out several months ago but hadn't been back in the area until today. There are some spiky plants in there as my legs found out quickly Wink Lots of picnic-ers in the park, but none near us. TFTC

28-Mar-16
Added a Check Sum to the hint section, just to help 'reassure' everyone that they have the right coordinates. If you've solved the puzzle though, you wont need it. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback about this series so far.

22-Mar-16
I left this series a while before attempting to solve them. While sorting through some NSW puzzles these came up and got solved. I really enjoyed this puzzle, had me stumped for a while.
After coming close for work I though I would finish the journey and find the cache today. A short drive and I was here. Obviously approaching from the wrong side, I went through lots of webs and managed to get two decent sized spiders on me (not the ones in leaves, had about a dozen of those today, but do not really count), which I managed to flick off with a stick before they touched skin, but I was still paranoid about any I may have missed until I got home and changed. Cache was found easily and I was on my way again.
Thanks for the puzzle, spiders and cache!

Found on a walk with the family on Christmas eve. I have past this area several times and thought it would be a good place for a cache I have even set an orienteering course in the area a few years back. Decided to attack this one after giving up at another one nearby. Was a little worried about my coordinates but on arrival spotted a likely location very quickly. TFTC. Will have to find another one in the series on our next walk.

Nice cache!!!!

We parked the bikes in the scrub, and bush bashed our way to an obvious GZ, the cache was found within quickly once there. Sneaky puzzle! TFTC
Left an LED keyring.

As others will do, I dived right in to solve this easy puzzle, but came up short. A number of avenues were checked for a way through with still no advancing. After quite a deal of hair pulling, I noticed something and soon had good coordinates. Today, we drove here and I again reluctantly entered an area where I was not comfortable on such a hot day, armed with a TOTT which was fortunately not required. The cache was seen in a likely place where I logged and hurried back to the air-conditioned geoMazda, in which MrsFish was relaxing and ignoring my complaints. Thanks again to the garbageman for a really neat puzzle and hide. Looking forward to more when they come out!

Reperio at 0610. *FTF*

I saw this puzzle come online yesterday afternoon, and although my initial thought seemed like it would be fairly straight forward, I soon noticed a problem with it. It was only a few more minutes after that did I realise what was required to solve it. This morning I got up nice and early, found a good place to park near the cache, and enjoyed a nice stroll to GZ where the cache was found safe and sound. A nice little puzzle.
