The vivid coloured cache stood out. Cache and log are good. My first cache find in Hepburn Council Area. Trying to find at least one cache in each council area. TFTC GemmaSistema.
Today I was out on an adventure to celebrate my anniversary when I saw a reminder that it was International Geocaching Day. I checked out the map and saw there was a cache in a cemetery - my favourite! We made a quick detour here for me to get the cache. The cache was quickly found and I had a look at some of the impressive headstones here. I look forward to returning at some time. TFTC
Quick park and grab. Had fallen on the ground so placed where I thought it should be. TFTC
A quick out and back for this cache and one other at the cemetery. Then, blow me down ! if it isn't time for coffee at 52 for the third day in a row. Quick find and all in good nick. Thanks for another one GemmaSistema
We are on the way home from a couple of early events and if we are driving past a cache of course we are going to stop and find any caches we past. This cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
Detoured via this well kept cemetery to make a quick find on my way out of town TFTC GemmaSistema
Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GemmaSistema for the cache.
Not a micro as it's more than 100mm long.. so maybe the reviewers need to get this changed.

I found it on the way back to Ballarat after visiting Maryborough with cunnO69 thanks
Last one for the day and I wandered around for a while before spotting the cache in it's new hidey hole. Managed to get the cache without issue and soon had the log signed. Cache replaced and then had to find my wife who had wandered off around the area.
Thanks GemmaSistema....Just FYI, Fork of tree would be a good hint now as the stump is gone.

As I head out of town, a very nice town that I'd like to come back to, to explore more... I stopped here for 1 last one...
A quick find, it is in the tree not the hole...

Thanks

The weather today was torrential rain, so we have decided to camp tonight at the sports ground.
We needed power as the sola has not been getting enough sun.
A drive up to Maryborough to do some shopping & caching in the morning. The afternoon we drove to Clunes to do the AL & any other caches we past.
This was a great way to tour this area.
Thanks for placing your cache.

With a Community Celebration relocated from the big hill to this historic town, of course I took an Adventure Lab tour. Or two.
And when I was finished there, of course I had to "do a Mary", and visit the dead centre of Clunes.
Thanks, GemmaSistema. There may be more cemetery visits before the day is out.

Out on a chilly Sunday with bogonghazy to grab a few caches between Creswick and Talbot. A quick find by BH and we were off to find another. Thanks Gemma for adding to this great game
Found with Sorceysal on a cool Sunday arvo. This was another quick find. Great little container too Thanks again Gemma
Spending a few hours around Clunes to do some adventure labs and other special caches. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches.
While staying in Ballarat we decided to take a drive up to Clunes to find some caches along the way, as well as the ones in town and also do the adventure labs based around the history of Clunes. Had a lovely few hours enjoying the area and learning about its past. Thanks to the COs for the caches/ALs.
Oops, missed logging this one. Was with ilukaperi and since we were using our team stamp that day, my name must be in the log book.
On a caching and camping trip with day1976, he put together the list of caches, and I worked out we could camp near Mt Beckworth. This was the last cache of the trip, a nice quick find and then we headed home.
Cemetery caches rock and so we decided that today was the day to snaffle this one. It was found quickly and easily in a logical spot.
Quick find, log is a bit wet (but waterproof) however it is very full. Managed to squeeze my name in but probably time for a new one. Lots of birds chirping about! TFTC.
On the ground near the stump - someone had found and thrown aside - put back in stump. Needs drying out - new paper. The marble was OK!!!!
A nice quick find today once we abandoned the idea of finding it in a different stumps thanks for placing Gemma. I worked in Clunes for many years and had never been to the cemetery before. Thanks for bringing me here.
Found on a family history trip to Clunes and surrounds. Janet has over 75 relatives buried here!
It has now got to the stage where we have over 750 draft logs waiting to be completed. These range back over at least a couple of years.
We are not a fan of generic logs but with everything that has been on our plates recently we reluctantly have to admit this may be the only way we can get this back log cleared. If your cache is in our backlog it usually means it is one that we wanted to spend more time creating a much more bespoke log than this. But we are not managing to achieve that goal. So in the interests of getting the backlog cleared we have decided to resort to this long form of TFTC as a way of getting a large number of them cleared.
We apologise for the lack of commentary specific to your cache or event. We are somewhat targeted in what we go after. There are unfounded caches within a few kilometres of our home which we published before we started 8 years ago. We have just never got around to o looking for them. We like unusual cache types, puzzles in particular, older caches, and tend to target a much more wider group of caches when we travel. We like remote caches and caches that bring us to an interesting place. It is likely that this cache found its way into our find list because it fits one of these criteria.
As cache owners we appreciate the effort that goes into hiding and maintains caches so thank you for that.

Lots of leaves and tree branches in the way. Tried digging all around and in the stump with no luck. Maintenance needed.
We accidentally took the scenic route which was interesting. Finally a quick find before we headed back for lunch. TFTC.

Was told by my work to have Monday off from work so i turned that into 3 days, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and I picked a spot on the map that I can not remember ever visiting so Marybourgh was the spot.
After such a big day yesterday the plan was to a have a bit more of a relaxing day and take it as it comes.
After driving through Clunes on the way up I headed back down for some lunch and to find a few around here.
The last time I was in Clunes I was chasing the Mad Max series of caches.
Another cemetery to visit and another wander around reading about some of the history and since Clunes was such an important place this was a larger cemetery to visit.
After searching in a few spots I soon located the cache, added my name to the log and now lets see how many more I can find today a bit more of a relaxed pace.
Thanks GemmaSistema TFTC.

Our first find since we purchased some land in Clunes, also our first since the first COVID lockdown in Melbourne.
Thanks for the cache, it will be memorable to us.

Find #4494
Traditional Find #2808**
I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the second lockdown. Ballarat, Mount Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick were our targets for today. Cemeteries are very interesting places, especially old ones. Needed the hint for this one because the co-ords were a bit out for us, but that could have been the day.
**Thank-you to GemmaSistema for placing this geocache**

*Cache find # 11085.*
Finally we are able to get out and about so we headed for Mt.Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick.
We had finished at Mount Beckworth, now it was time to move onto the town of Clunes.
This was the first one we came to and at first we were searching the wrong area but with the help of the hint, we had a bit of a look around and were soon on the right track.

I love old cemeteries, there so much history in them. Love finding the oldest ones. Thanks for bringing me hear.
So many cemeteries seen today on some back road adventuring. I do remember this little spot on the way out of Clunes and onwards to the rest of our adventures. TFTC
We actually visited so many cemeteries today I actually forgot which one is which.
I have read logs, looked at maps and hints, yet cannot recall this one for the life of me.
Maybe Clunes was that cool that I just forgot some of the quieter parts.

Another great, hidden away collection of stones was found out back of Clunes
And after exploring the runes, this cache was found

Found on my way to Wedderburn to be in commuting range of the Mega event at St Arnaud. This was an easy find with just a short diversion from the main road. TFTC.
