This sculpture has been removed and we don't know where and when it's gonna be set up again. Will have new coordinates as soon as it is at its new location.
Sorry to do so but we have to disable the cache for the moment because the sculpture will be renovated. Hope to have it back soon. Thanks for understanding.
In the area with Selva Girls picking up some caches as we head north. Cache was found and once the log was signed all was returned as found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Konie and I were continuing our geocaching adventures, heading north. Whilst strolling around Malanda visiting waypoints for the adventure lab. we stopped by this cache and made a find here. Names added to the log, everything returned as found, then we were on our way again. TFTC
How about that I found it.
While driving all over town back and forth trying to do an AL (gave up on that)
Returned as found

Somehow a quick find found a few of these types of caches lately and seeing as this was out of place helped, tftc
2nd time lucky! Found it this time, while doing the local AL. Clever little hide. TFTC
Unfortunately for Malanda but fortunately for us the Dairy Centre is temporarily closed. This meant we could have a good search without any muggles about. It took us ages but MrTs eagle eye spotted the sneaky hide.

It was a little tricky at first… but with a little arguing and a hint. We got it !!! Really enjoy the hunt while read in g the history as well ))
We love ones like this! Found while on our chasing waterfalls adventure north. TFTC
We couldn't find the cache a few days back.We notice it was found after us..As we where in the area today,we called back for another look..Gotcha. Must have had cache blindness a few days back, as it was an easy find today... Signed log and returned cache to its hide.. tftc
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 48. Atherton Day 3. My third day trip was to the Malanda area. There was a set of Labs here and another waterfall to visit. A nice walk around town took me to three local caches before heading to the surrounding area. A nice chat with a local cacher who rescued me at one cache. Next was Millaa for lunch and a few caches, including one I failed last month. The day ended with a final Lab at Evelyn and home via a final earth cache.
As I did the Labs, I was here so had a look, without much hope, for even with no one about I am never confident with machinery. Happily I managed to look in the right place and there it was, a but rusty on the outside, but all good inside.
Thanks for the cache Gruftys

We had a good look over the tracker. Lifted the hood, and replaced it.. sorry to say no luck here today for us.. will call back if we get time to today.
Checking out the Atherton tablelands after being inTownsville for the mega. Did your THE FRONT GATE today. 2 May 2022 2:33 pm Tyfc GRUFTYS total caches now 4798 .
Found it! We needed to phone a friend on this one, for an extra hint! Finally found it in the end. TFTC
Returned to do this one on the weekend as we found it too busy on Friday. With a bit of peace we made a very quick find. Clever hide, sneaky and worth a favourite. Tftc
Eventually, decided to look for this one after completing the adventure lab. A good afternoon’s work
A good few hours in Malanda completed the Adventurelab and grabbed this one. Took us a bit but thanks to @Nawaii101. A good time with @digger51 and @highlandgirl21
The GPSr took a bit to settle, and we were distracted by a slight misinterpretation of the hint but we did find it in the end. Pretty obvious actually once we had found it. Always the way!
Headed out from Tolga today to explore more of this lovely area, and to find a few caches on our way. It wasn’t a great start to our caching day as we missed a lot of the multis around Yungaburra, but rectified that with finding some trads. Can’t win on all of the hides, even though we always set out expecting to find them!
Thanks to all the local CO’s for developing and maintaining a diverse variety of hides. We appreciate your efforts.

Tricky tricky! What really made the difference for us, is to study old log pictures online, unfortunately the app on our phone does only show one picture, but not the one to give the cache away. We waited for the dairy centre to close und night almost to come, to have as little traffic as possible. One quick grab and there it was, great hide.

Found on our way to Townsville, museum was closed today unfortunately. Great town. Tftc SL
Found it after a long search. Was more concealed than we thought it would be.

Staying at the Rocky Creek camp ground. Headed out to do some caching and this was one we targeted and found. Thanks for hiding and giving us the opportunity to explore. The facility was closed today but cute location. Fav point
Travelling from Brissie to probably Cooktown and back we try to pick up a few caches.
I asked my husband to stop momentarily for me to get this cache. I don't know if I therefore was too much in a hurry or was cache blind, but I couldn't find the cache, even though I had a feeling I knew what I was looking for. Never mind, there's always next time...

Found with gxybuddy, a first of this kind for us. I have heard of this but have never seen one before.
Grey nomads, currently spending time caching in far north Queensland. We have had enough of Cairns and hankering to get back on the road again. Finally up on the tablelands, caching in Gruftys territory.
Nice easy find. Thanks Gruftys for the hide

DNF. Sorry. Probably right under our nose but impatient partner, not a lot of time and too much to do. Great spot to look at though. Thankyou anyway
This was a very clever cache - only knew what I was looking at after spotting similar on a website. TFTC
When we were looking the building owner pulled up and told us where it was, that made it much easier. This is also the first cache of this type of container we have found. Tftc
Whilst looking for this one we got interviewed by the local newspaper reporter. Photos were taken but cache not found. Keep an eye out for us in the Malanda news.
Found with LJB54 the super geokid.
After reading the history of ‘The Front Gate’ had a search in what looked a likely GZ and surprisingly came up with what looks like the original AND the replacement containers.
Signed and replaced both logs and messaged the CO. Nice information centre nearby and treated ourselves to a cool drink in the shade. Too small to drop our TB so just visited.

You know it’s a tricky one when you are holding it your hand wondering if this is it! Great hide. Definitely needed the hint for this one.
Placed a new cache for more adventures. Please put it back to the same spot! Thanks
Our string of DNFs continues with this one. Nice coffee and food, just no cache.
Cheers

Found TFTC with Barrod. Took a lot of perseverance with 4 of us looking. Take note of hint.
Checked that one on the 5th of July and replaced it with a new one! All good to be found.
Some persistence was required before the well themed cache container was located. Definitely requires tweezers to extract the log.
Thanks Gruftys for this sneaky cache. We have passed this way on several occasions, but never called in. A great display of some old town history.

Avenged the last DNF listed here. Sadly no further attempts on it since i had a go, so i had no idea if i was attempting a fruitless task, but my luck had changed. Made a difference trying it so late though. All is good with the cache, the rust is a nice touch. TFTC.
Had a reasonable squiz and noted what type of find it was in the logs. Unable to spot. Always like trying to find hides on equipment from yesteryear. Was not to be
I looked all over but couldn't see it...then I stepped back and just enjoyed the moment. My eyes glanced down...and there it was on the ground! CO has been messaged and I replaced it back where I thought it might belong judging from the hint. TNLN SL TFTC
Today's cache guided wander around the Tablelands,
took me past the front gate
Alas the place behind the gate remains closed for renovations !!
So I got busy,
milking this place for a cache find
It didn't take too long !! [:o]
I got lucky I guess
Cache found !!

I hope the new bissness owners the best and hope they can carry on the title throught the generations. Cant waight till it opens again so i can enjoy my childhood favrout once again.
FP from me because of the memories and reflections throught the experence.

This was our second visit, couldn’t find it last time and this time soo quick. I wander if it has moved.
Very tricky. I have seen this type of hide before so spotted it straight away. I love this little town.
Back in town for a funeral, found this tricky unique cache with the help of hints and pics TFTC!!
Oh dear nemisis cache - finally you are mine. This one has long been a thorn in my side with something like four visits before we finally got it. We got more and more experienced between visits, but it made no difference. Most infuriating! Especcially with all the "easy find" logs! Finally we recruited a previous finder to physically take us there are try again, but it wasn't where she expected! It was after dark when we tried and my torch happened to light up something that didn't seem quite right. What? Seriously? Perhaps I overthought it, although the previous finder thinks there may be some cache creep. Regardless - the monkey is off my back. TFTC
Pulled over for a quick find after attending a rainforest family wedding nearby. SL TFTCM GREETINGS FROM NSW
On our northern holiday adventure we decided to do some night geocaching. After a quick scout of the area. We found it. Clever hide. TFTC.
Found this rather quickly but can see that it could be a bit frustrating for some. Nice spot to have a hiding place. TFTC.
Today we are on the way to Milla Milla. Here we make a stop.
After a little searching we can sign the cache. A really good hide.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Finally after 3 years and 3 visits i needed the hint to find. Frustration plus.
Found this cache after a BBQ dinner at the camping place. Thanks a lot for the cache and greets from Germany
We made a mistake back in June and logged this with a smile but the log told the true story. Today we returned and made this one a true smile. With no rain to hamper us and make us stand out, people may have wondered why we were standing out in the rain.
It took a moment to consider all the possibilities but there it was and in stealth mode we collected the container and signed the log. Gosh it is nearly as bad as finding a cache on a gun.

We found this one a while back but our log must have gotten lost, as we just noticed there's no smiley here! Logging it now again, thanks for the cache!
