School holidays so time for a tiki tour to visit friends in Taranaki. Stayed in New Plymouth today and enjoyed a rather wet cycle along the seafront. Quick detour for this cache. Widened my search after reading the GPS was a bit out and soon spotted the cache. No issues with danger here as the fence should keep any kids well away from the train line. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
boyfriend made it hard coz he was sulking behind me but finally found it. full of bugs and dirt
Thanks for your amazing cache.
Got spotted by resident muggle and asked what people are looking for. He has been there for 3 years and always wondered what we have been looking for. Now he knows

First one we ever tried to find me and my girlfriend went at midnight and had a blast found it quicker than expected thank you to the one who left it!
Found with MrsC on our NZ travels from the UK, thanks. Found on a days wandering around New Plymouth.
Short walk to find this one today. Didn't know this walkway was here. Dropped TB moose. TFTC
We walked the line once we found it but had to retrace our steps as the path did not seem to carry on
Found with mr c on our travels from the UK thank you

A quick easy find with the hint, although for us the cache was 7 metres east of the coordinates at S39 03.164 E174 06.079. TFTC
I wanted to grab a cache to collect today's souvenir and had a while back identified this cache as one I needed to get because it was hidden on a date I hadn't found yet.
This takes me up to 355 found hidden on dates.
I had the right GZ straight away but poor searching meant I checked a few other locations before finally getting the find.

Merry christmas!
We had Zara parked out Bell block way, at the NZMCA camp there, and for the last three nights as we drove back I tried to navigate to this cache. It's just hard to get to - the obvious turnoffs on the map isn't - it's a bridge. Worked it out eventually on the way back tonight.
Day twelve of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is wandering about New Plymouth
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

I walked the line to this one. Eventually found our way here. Quick snag and tag here. Cheers
Time to get back to Zara. Thats it for today. Good Night.
Day 12- Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24 December. Around New Plymouth again today.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

A great day to be out caching but with fine weekends being a very rare commodity lately there was also lots of other things that needed doing. So a quick find to deal with a dot day before doing other stuff was just what I needed. I retrieved the TB. Thanks.

This was my first full day in New Plymouth. I parking in a nearby spot and made my way to GZ. This is right on a path to the nearby girls college, so there was lots of people going past as they were dropped off for school. I had to time my efforts to avoid detection. TFTC.

Awesome find although my sat nav is kaka. Will travel with the travel bugs to Australia
An afternoon walk before tea by Mrs Sobad. She took a round about way to get here but returned on a more direct line. No problem with the cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Neat hiding place, we Love Johnny Cash, so had to get this one!!
Sad reminder, near the rest home my Mom is in!

We were glad of the hint this morning during our search - as the undergrowth was wet from the recent rain. Lovely presented cache, just great, thank you Zork V.
Thank you for prompt replacement finally get to put a smiley face on this one grabbed trackable
Had multiple attempts at this one and checked pretty much every fence post with no luck
Getting some time out exploring in-between games of Netball at the under 15 netball championships. Found this cache near the home of friends who we are staying with and have introduced to Geocaching.
Another good find with jackeesback on a road trip today.

In NP for the week doggy sitting for my sister. Off for a wee bike cache before it rains. Had to shelter under a tree till it stopped pouring with rain b4 heading to this one, didnt last long. Glad I read a few past logs, yip co'ods off by aprox 13m SW, but easy find. Cheers for the smile. Thanks for a fun day.
Found on way to work. Gps incorrect followed the hint and all good. Picked up TB 'Seven Souvenirs of August'. Left behind Trackable 'Dan's Odyssey 1'.
Found it a little more SW than the gps showed. Left trackable, took purse and replaced with Harley Davidson cap. TFTC
Dropped off a 'Seven Souvenirs of August' tb, and picked up 'Red Bell' and 'Beetle Bug' tb
Had to bring the girls to help me find it after a dnf . Then she found it straight away. She didn't have to make it look that easy.
Managed to survive the family Christmas and now a chance to head away for a couple of days to New Plymouth with Mrs Dragon so that we can take a turn around the mountain and also make the most of the Pukekura Park Lights Festival.
Seventeenith of the trip and located while heading down and around the mountain for a bit of a scenic drive. By now the weather that we had started with was not the same as the weather we had at this point as the skys were now clear and the mountain magnificent.
A fine morning and an allowence for a few caches before breakfast is always a good way to start when out on holiday. A nice quiet walk to GZ. Coords are well out so paid attention to the hint and the cache was soon in hand
Thanks for the placement and the cache

#8721. We walked the line in Fitzroy this morning. GZ was all quiet when we visited. It was not at where the GPS was pointing. Widened the search, and found it southwest about 13 metres away. Not sure if it had suffered from cache creep or not. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Replaced cache where found.
Thanks for bringing us to the site, and …

For a quick find mm. Not sure where it is. Reading the logs makes it easy though no worries find it soon
A quick easy find. My grandparents and my dad used to live just around the corner on Pukaka st, so this area holds lots of memories for my family. TFTC.
GPS is taking me the long way home for the Mega. Finding lots of great caches on the way. TFTC
Down in New Plymouth for the weekend to visit the offspring and managed to slip out for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon with my caching daughter-in-law. We had a great time and found some superb caches along the way. We also found the GPS out and nearly missed out on this cache but then had an 'aha' moment. TFTC
Came to New Plymouth to get some caches this weekend, but New Plymouth doesn't want to make it easy but we are up for the challenge of finding a way around the streets to get these caches we were driving down the main road and thought how do we get there gt there in the end and yay found the cache signed the log and placed back where we found it. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC
