A quick and easy yet stealthy park and grab on the main street while passing through Toodyay on this absolutely beautiful Spring day. Interesting info about the location, too. TFTC!*Note: In regards to the recent NM log, the contents are dry. I found the lid lying next to it so I put the lid back on it.*
The insides very wet and the can is broken. The lid is no longer attached. This cash requires maintenance.
Our first find in Toodyay for IGD 2024. We're looking forward to this event with our surprise cake for a special occasion ??
Back into Toodyay today for a 2nd day of IGD fun, great event last night with a bunch of other like minded individuals, travelling in with Kyzabra and meeting up with Granett, today's caching plan was to hit up the challenge series and anything else we could fit in between the events and tonight's drive home. This cache made the tight list. _______________It's getting wet out there________________Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache ToodyayVC you help make the game what it is today. AlliedOz
Its IGD weekend again this year we are at Toodyay. A pretty hectic time at the moment so was only able to get up here for the day. Left home early and picked up Allied Oz on the way before meeting up with Granett in town. we had a rough plan of what we wanted to do during the day but as per usual plans will change. This was one of many we picked off during the travels today. A good mix of traditional Multis, puzzles and challenges as well, obviously the many labs around town. Many thanks to ToodyayVC for placing and maintaining TOURIST PRECINCT #3 - Catholic Church Precinct. I was here on Saturday and this is my find 11530.
"Found it! Remembering the words of Confucius: 'It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.' Onward to more discoveries! This is my 5248 find.Thank you ToodyayVC for placing and maintaining this cache.SirFancy West Oz Geocaching committee member.www.west-oz-geocaching.com/
Find 15 of 72 on a big IGD day around Toodyay, first on a 20km bike ride along the river and back to the event HQ, then out in the car expecting to cop some heavy rain which never really arrived, with three FTFs thrown in. A very good day, thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained caches for our enjoyment, even those that set up multis.
Teaming up with Burns345 and Kapelula for the IGD weekend, we chose certain caches first.Cache found in good condition. Cheers!
Saturday, Day 2 of IGD, was filled with adventures around Toodyay. The morning was spent at the event hall, running introductory sessions and chatting with those who came through. After a hearty lunch, I rushed off to try and snag some tags before returning to town to pick up SirFancy. We then decided on our plan for the afternoon. Opting to head out into the countryside, we targeted a series of puzzles, challenges, and multi-caches. Despite the wet weather in the area, we werent sure how much wed be able to accomplish along the dirt tracks, but fortunately, there were no issues, and we completed all of them.Back in town, we grabbed a few traditional caches before joining the community for dinner and birthday cake at the evening event. We finished the night by joining a large group for a night cache mission in the rain.I had an absolute blast today, and it was great to see so many geocachers out and about. By the time I returned to the accommodation at the end of the long day, I had managed to log 45 finds, sign 12 challenges, attend 2 events, and record only 1 DNF. Thanks go to ToodyayVC for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache TOURIST PRECINCT #3 - Catholic Church Precinct for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 16:47 on 17/8/2024.This is find number 9215 for me.

Chwiliwr and I planned a trip out to Toodyay today to do as many caches that we could in the area however due to medical instructions no walking was allowed so it was only those caches that we could park nearby that could be attempted. All caches attempted were found without problems. Logs signed and caches returned as they were found. Thanks ToodyayVC for placing this cache for other cachers to find.

With Janet’s background this was the one we grabbed on the way through.
Brad and Janet are on another epic journey. This time it involves many of Len Beadell’s 6500km of roads including the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sur, the Heather, the Neale, the Gun Barrel Highway, the Gary, the Talawana Track, the Gary Junction Rd and more.
And of course a 2 day visit to Maralinga which Len also located, surveyed and largely built as he had with Woomera and Emu. An amazing man.
If you don’t know of him he wrote some wonderful books. Laconic with a dry sense of wit, they are an excellent read. They are also available as audiobooks as is a recording of his brilliant after dinner talk one evening in Shepparton. Worth a listen.
And now the Moon Tours trip is over we are heading back to Adelaide via whichever way takes our fancy after a few days rest and repair in Karratha. Almost certainly down the WA Coast before heading to Hyden and the land of the Salmon Gums.

Me and my gf were waiting for pizza and decided to do some hunting. Nearly walked into the persons property.
4th today. Took a little while quite sneaky. Thanks again great condition found but did not write on paper.
Staying in Northam, we drove to Toodyay today for lunch at the bakery and some geocaching. I love a town that embraces geocaching, and they have a special leaflet here to guide you to the tourist precinct caches. Toodyay rocks! The buildings here are lovely, and the cache was found easily.
Time to do some more caching together with ilook4geo. No problem in locating the containers we wanted, sign the log in each one before moving on. This was an interesting tour around Toodyay. Thanks for placing this cache go to dimor and for all the new logs found in so many of the caches. Maintenance done well.
Wandering along today with goingplaces2 meant we found a good variety of cache hides as well as the containers used. It was a fun and productive day with quite a lot more smileys colouring our map. Thank you to each CO who added to our enjoyment today.
Day 2 of WAGB22 week, and went to finish the GG Series in Northam and cleaned up the town of Northam, then cached to Toodyay and made a huge dent in that town.
