Needed a find for today so while staying at the dam did the walk up to have a view of the dam and found this cache while there. Thanks for the cache.
Me and my brothers found it and put it back where it was. It was our first time.
A trip for shopping to Tamworth and extend for caching in the area. All brand new here for me so lots and lots of caches to chose from and many I had to skip, but hopefully get a chance to do on an other trip.
This cache: the 3rd try on a cache in this county, had pick this as a backup and came after the gate was closed so walked the 500m to the cache.
Thank you Whitey Wiskas for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Stopped in just before closing time! Lady happily handed over the box but didn’t say anything about the other cache. Seeing as she was shutting up for the afternoon we thought we’d better not ask! Left a TB
After finding the the nearby cache we were allowed into the camp area to find this one. Thankyou for having this so will organised.
The people who run lake keepit didn’t even know about it till the other day lol.Tftc
We found a log inside a log. The bigger container had a cracked lid with a very wet log inside. The second inner black container had another log protected in a plastic bag. We emptied out the water and inverted the nested containers to keep out extra water.
The current water level at Keepit is 0.5% so not much of a water view but an interesting trip nonetheless. TFTC.

Hi there Whitey Wiskas.
Today was a drive from Tamworth to Duri, and then out to Lake Keepit, logging caches along the way. The caches we found were all well placed, and the for the most part had pretty accurate coordinates. We can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of all the caches we found today.
All up we found 23 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

After spending the night in Gulgong, it was time to continue my journey north. The lovely people at the entry knew of the existence of this cache, but were not sure if it was still there. With their permission. I headed to GZ where I quickly located the cache and signed the log. TFTC
Thanks Whiteywiskers.Got it but no red box here!
Will get some more of your caches over the weekend.

I am on my way home from the OZ Geomuster in Morisset.
Today's geocaching adventure has taken me from Willow Tree to Bungara.
This was my another stop along the way for the day.
I made a quick find here as I make my way out to Keepit Dam. [^] I made it.
The lady behind the counter was happy to see a 2nd cacher in 2 days. [^]
I had a quick check of the facilities in the park.
Thanks for the cache.

Went out to Lake Keepit to find the caches - while out there I was looking where the lake was as the level was so low.. I have been told its down to 14% full. Back to the cache - found it. TFTC
While staying in Tamworth for a few days, I headed to Gunnedah with geodad Whitey Wiskas and my geodog Scruffy to look for the caches hidden in this beautiful area.
Water view ?? - what water ? Suppose there will be some there one day ..
All Good .. TFTC ..

I have had a fabulous day today. It started with Pa and exploring Keepit Dam (grabbing the caches of course) and then I commandeered the car and drove into Tamworth finishing the caches I hadn't already found. After lunch I headed north to see how many of Whiteywiskas caches I could find.
I only had 1 DNF for the day and that was offset by finding a cache I hadn't solved yet!
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us to find. It certainly adds to our travels.
All logs were signed as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.

Found at 10:44 AM GAFF1 in the company of NurseHayley.
This was a bit awkward as the lady at the reception didn't know anything about another cache and was extremely skeptical. She in the end let us through on the 20 minute rule and as I was logging the cache another worker came up to me to see if I was having problems with the loose fencing wire the was lashing about.
Got back to the gate to be let out and the reception lady wanted to know if I had found anything and when I told her that I had she was very much taken aback. Just can't tell some people anything it seems - they know it all.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

Found in the company of pprass- wow what a dam, friendly staff, they like a nice long chat, nice spot. TFTC
We sat in the car for a while waiting for the rain top clear a bit so we could see the dam but that was not going to happen so we drove back to the cache. Nice dry cache inside its cocoon. TFTC
Drove past on the way in as two roos were taking up the parking space. Stopped on the way out after giving up on waiting for the rain to ease - found a nice dry cache and log. Icky spicer cocoon on the outside but we thought we had given so many spiders a hard time this morning that we thought we would let the babies hatch. TFTC

Found 24.01.17 with gangstella. There were two at the location. One where expected, the other through the fence on the ground (hopefully not thrown there).
Beautiful lake/dam and view.

TFTC, having grew up in Tamworth I remember coming out here and swimming to the old pontoon, which sadly is now gone.
Years ago we came to Keepit to do some fishing. Set off in the boat to a great little spot way up the end when a storm blew in. With rain teeming down and wind blasting we had to ride it out in a sheltered cove. After the storm was over it was all our boat could do to get us back to the boat ramp, the water had become so rough. We haven't done much fishing since! Today with lots of rain lately the water level is 43%, up from 37% last week. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.
Cache quickly found & signed, although a little soggy. We popped at little plastic bag ( only thing available) around it to try & help protect it a little.
TFTC!

The cache was duly sign and then we had a good look around. What a lovely placed and so well kept. I am sure we will come back some time. Thanks Whitey Wiskas for showing us this place.
I was expecting this to be closer to the lake but of course it would be muggled then. I left the container where I found it, as the obvious hiding spot looked bottomless. TFTC Whitey
