I'm ditching dad again and heading down south for the Mega in Dunedin. During this trip I managed to do many things and meet many people over the 2 weeks I was away. Thanks to all the cache owners and other cachers for making this trip enjoyable.Day 3 of the trip. After spending the night with mum I split off to go and do some of my jasmer months. It was a nice laid back day doing mainly caches along the coast but I also went up and did deep creek which was fun. A nice quick find here. TFTCAll logs on this trip were signed by any of the following:Taybee NZ,TBNZ,TNZ,TB/D (When I was out with mother)
On a quick road trip and today we decided to try our luck and detour to this one .Soon found what we were looking for and love exploring the area .Great to see the history of the area and some of the older buildings. Closr by And we could not pass this one by as we were in the area , Thanks to the co for looking after This cache I love seeing these pivots working .Always careful where i parked my tractor when i was contacting as i did not need a pivot running over it Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching. As if I need an excuse aahhh nop I will go rain hail or snow so let's goooo and have as much fun and adventures as possible tomorrow may never come and we never know what tomorrow may hold for us all just do it Life is short. Live life one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!! Tomorrow may never come just grab Life by the horns Thanks for the hide tftc
Located with Ricardinho Our plans for the day were to travel from Christchurch to Methven as I had an appointment there. We had a bit of time to get a few caches on the way & also on the way back. A bit of retail therapy to finish the day off at Dressmart in Hornby. Heading back to ChCh & a couple of caches along the way near our favourite Barhill down a very long side road. Easy park & grab. RNZ not so impressed when I asked him to stop before this so I could go Lupin snoopin as he calls it. In layman's terms, photographing large fields of beautiful Lupins. TFTC
On the way home and funnily enough the car gps wants to take us past a couple of caches on the way back that it was not interested in on the way out. This was a quick find, and no traffic at all down this long, straight road. Which is how I like it when caching. TFTC BCD.The plan for today was to get to Methven from Christchurch.RG72 had an appointment there, and we had a bit of time to get a few on the way in.While RG was busy I got a few around the town, which included enjoying the fun Ad lab that was on offer, and then on the way back to Christchurch we got a few more before stopping in at Hornby for some retail therapy.A few more from there to home, and that was our day. Good fun, just enough to break up the travelling without over doing it. Thanks all COs.
A nice quick find while we were caching at Barrhill today, fortunately just past where people were ploughing so they weren't watching us! A great idea to place caches as you travel around for work, thanks!
The task today was to find a multicache so I elected to have a big day out caching out Methven. Now on the way back home seeking and signing trads. The cache was quickly found but the log was in very poor condition. It was obvious it had been under water for some time so it was replaced.
Another month, another challenge. I'm keen to see how many days I can manage to get out and find caches this month. This is Day 9. I took a drive inland from Rakaia and found a few caches in an area I haven't visited for about 12 years. Found safe and sound as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
I wonder sometimes what Mr BCD is up to . Found all safe and secure and OK condition
23 April 2023 12:58 pm no sign of a pond now... but Barhill is a lovely area. TFTC BrownscacheDiversBCD
Out collecting a few caches out of the city, and get some more points for the Wheel of Challenges for this month.
Quickly located, nice to collect another pivot cache. Growing up, we lived on a farm, but it was in the winterless north.... to hilly for these things I'd have thought
TFTC BrownscacheDiversBCD, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 19 find(s) of 25 today, making this find #3949

Container is soggy wet. Shook it off and returned it upside down. Hopefully it wont get any worse.
Quick find, I have a mate who’s currently learning to build them down in Alexandra. Tftc
Found this as we drove past … so hid it a little better so now safe and sound! TFTC
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.

Quick find, first for the evening. Decided to get rid of a dot day so BFC and I went for a drive after dinner.
The inside of both lids had dirt so log is saturated. Cleaned the lids as best I could but log will need drying out properly or replacing.
Thanks for the cache, always interesting to see where you get to around the country side.

TFTC. see photo of cache. Just too wet to sign. I have poured the water out. Found on Election Day.
I had to head to Barrhill today to check on my cache (to check it hadn't succumbed to a slip. It hadn't).
I figured as I was in the area I'd clean up as many caches as I could between Highbank and Rakaia. In the end I only DNFd three caches and got seventeen finds (including a bonus find near Burnham).
This was a quick find, exactly as advertised.

We came out with busy paws and a picnic for a lovely day of adventures. Never explored this area so lots of fun. We looked for caches and busy paws out new hides. Thanks for this cache BrownscacheDiversBCD.
Heading up to CHCH with KJR for a make shift mega as there wasn't one planned in the south island this year. Stayed in Temuka for the night with some friends and pasted this one the next morning on our way up to CHCH. Nice and easy find TFTC
Heading to Christchurch with Gadget169 to meet up with some Dunedin/Invercargill cachers for a long weekend geocaching adventure. Heading to a highly anticipated cache that would fill in a spot on the month hidden grid and noticed this one close by needed replacing so a quick message to the CO and dropped off a new container TFTC BCD
Cache was destroyed then last bits of it removed by last finder. Not been available for finding since 18/6.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Until I can get a replacement, feel free to drop a temp down in the meantime.
Found the remains of the cache. (Photo attached). I think it has had a nasty accident with a farm vehicle! As it was totally wrecked I removed the remains so as not to leave litter. Unfortunately I didn't have a replacement with me. Sorry. TFTC.
Thanks for creating this geocache. Found after a beautiful day skiing.

#15447. Good to include a Pivot cache on our trip south. Log was in poor shape, so I just took a photo. TFTC.
After spending a couple of days exploring the area, it was time for StreetWalker and me to return to Christchurch.
Good to include another pivot in today's haul of caches. I stayed in the car while SW hopped out and and made the find. A soggy log book so he took a photo. TFTC.

We were on our way from Cromwell to Christchurch, so we made a deviation to collect another pivot cache. The log sheet is very wet and could do with a replacement.
Trip to Christchurch, so had a bit of time for the odd cache or two. Thanks Bitsprayer

I have so little time left of maternity leave - only just over a week - and so many caches still to find in my 80km radius!! Turns out, caching on maternity leave isn't as easy as expected, as you have a baby that you have to take everywhere! Haha! But so I'm trying to quickly clear out some of these cache where possible. And today, I decided, yes I know the baby hates drives in the car seat, but we will manage... and there were a few tears - from both of us, but 16 caches were found!! Wahoo!!
Very speedy find - was dug quite deep in the mud!
TFTC!!

Went on a mad mission with TG to do a heap of work on the Thompsons Track and we checked 45 caches, moved some, replaced some. With the work out of the way we headed up the back of Lake Coleridge to grab a few caches. We headed into the hills about midnight so it really ended up being a Mad Tuesday Morning Mission too, doesn't have the same ring. We headed up to the hills from Thompsons Track mopping up a few caches along the way.
This was missed my me at first go and TG spotted the cache lid and extracted it from the ground.
Thanks for the cache BrownscacheDiversBCD.

Mad Monday night Mission time with TheWanglers. A rather late night (early morning?!) with 320km traveled - fun night! Started out with maintenance of half the Thompsons Track series (not as bad as we thought given that parts of the road had been under water!), then a few cache finds then a couple random FTF's out by Lake Coleridge! No worries. Wouldn't be a mad mission without some madness!
After completing maintenance on 45 of the Thompsons Track series we headed past here on our way to Lake Coleridge. A quick find and sign to start us off - nice!

Managed to get this one even if I had to squeeze through the fence which was no mean feat lol TFTC
