Cache check. It is still there waiting to be found. A little bit more of a bush bash than it used to be. See photo, - it's not in there but if you can see this you are standing beside the cache.

09-Nov-24
Too well hidden for us.

Ah frustrating cant find it after a good search! If its where the big owl use to be In the tree thats bent I cant see it. Coordinates were jumping all over the place unfortunately Sad

After a nearby FTF we headed over to an area we had a few still to find. A nice little walk around. This one certainly took a bit to spot as we where close but just had to go a little further and ended up sneaking up from behind. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

22-Sep-23
Spent half an hour searching for this, in the dark with a headlamp. Gave up and started walking away when the owl glittered. Nice find before going home. TFTC

No find for me today. I looked at spoiler photos but it wasn't helpful today here for us.

05-Dec-21
Out for a morning of geocaching with jennyfromthefarm, before the GNSW Christmas event in Lake Parramatta today.

Looked all around GZ but no luck in finding, we looked on ground and in trees but nothing in sight. Found Froaderick Fronkensteen soon after and nothing similar to this sighted at this location.

13-Nov-21
Cool hide!! I love the owl! Tftc

09-Oct-21
Looks like he has absconded too. so I've replaced him, not quite where he was but close enough. If you've found "Froaderick" just down the path you'll have a pretty good idea where to look! Cache on!

06-Oct-21
30 minutes ! Followed some obvious foot trials.

I think I found the tree where the Owl used to be but otherwise a few likely spots but no luck

Darn !

I found a golf ball !!! Now that is one wild shot !

An afternoon of Covid safe caching in my own LGA. Not many traditionals left, only a few multi's and many hard-to-solve unknown caches.

Some serious bush bashing needed and my GPS was all over the place. Previous logs helped in finding the cache!

This was the second of three finds for today. After finding 'OUT: Hit The Ball Twice', Geodad and I headed towards this cache as I wanted to fill in another date missing in the 'Dates Placed' calendar. Geodad wasn't keen on the bush bashing so whilst he waited in the car, I headed out and found the trail. I had to keep walking to find the shortest path into the bush. It was tricky to find areas that wouldn't result in being scratched or poked by vegetation but fortunately, I was soon at GZ and found the cache poking out. SL. TFTC.

01-Jan-21
Very pleased we managed to get this cache with a two year old in tow. Had to leave the pram back on the path. It was tricky to access the bush walk via steps, but worth it. Cache was quickly spotted due to its colour. tFtc.

18-Nov-20
Was in the mulch on the ground, not secured to anything or concealed. Have placed it somewhere secure but visible at the GZ. TFTC

Teamed up with marj01 for a days caching, our first outing in a while. The break from caching has sharpened marj01's senses as he was on fire today when it came to finding the hides. TFTC celtical

Nice little spot! Had to do a bit of bushbashing to get to it, but I’m thankful it’s not a camouflaged cache. TFTC!

TFTC. Nice placement not too far in to the bush. I only now saw long of what cache used to look like. Still it was a faily easy find with an interesting "Camo" or item to draw you attention. still seem to fit the title I Can Sea YOUUUUUUU. Signed a dry log and returned cache exactly as i found it. and made my way to work this morning.

21-Oct-18
Found it

17-Oct-18
It's been a lean month for one reason or another but I was in the area with time to spare and there looked like a few worthwhile caches about. I searched here for a while and found half of a camoed bison on the ground, but no log, and thinking the other half might be hanging about I kept looking. Just as well too. I soon found the complete, actual cache not far away, in a spot that matched an earlier pic. The first find is a bit of a mystery. Thanks celltical.

02-Sep-18
Spent a while looking for it but found nothing. Will go back for another look soon.

28-Jul-18
Walked up to GZ where I immediately spotted the cache lying on the ground. After having signed the log, I tried to put it away a bit more´ hidden. Not sure where it was actually supposed to live, I am not sure it ended up in the right spot, though.

Well apparently council has replaced my original container with something else. I suppose a predatory bird might scare the local wildlife, so I understand why they removed him. Just glad they didn't remove the whole thing, (thanks council if you're reading this.)
Here's a pic of what I used to look like.

13-Mar-18
Located at 3:26pm. With the bellbirds as my backdrop, I strolled into this lovely reserve and up to GZ. Saw the beacon and the cache. Shame the original was removed but many thanks for the find. My second one this afternoon. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

10-Mar-18
Wow this one hasn’t been found for a while...

Great little trail on sunset without too many mozzies.

Followed the coordinates and found GZ quite easily. There is a note from the last person saying that the original container has been replaced due to council rules. Cache is in good order though and the replacement is nice enough.

Thanks for the cache!

17-Oct-17
Well that was a hoot. Thanks for the placement All good at the cache the poor fellow was a little weary and having a rest Cheers

29-Sep-17
There was a nearby cache the WaywardWoman previously had trouble finding, so she wanted me to return with her to it. This cache was on our way. She'd already found it. I didn't need any hints from her, however. I'm a lot faster on uneven ground than her, so I was already extracting the cache while she was still catching up. The cache guardian seemed a little upside down, but still marks the spot nicely. Thanks

Oh, I wasn't expecting that!
Great camo.
This morning I decided to come to the Northmead and Winston Hills areas to hunt for caches. This was my first stop. I parked in Glenn Street and walked across to the track. After reading about the history of the area and the nature aspect I followed the track to GZ.
It was alive with birds flitting back and forth across the track and calling, making it a really nice walk. Soon the GPS indicated I should head off the track. It was easy going, I wouldn't call it bush bashing and soon I was surprised by the camo. Very appropriate.
I signed the log and visited some TBs then walked further on to try for Froaderick Fronkensteen but had no luck there.

I walked back to Hammers Road, crossed the bridge and followed the track on the other side to more caches.

Favourite point awarded for the camo!

#4918- thomo31 and I had spent about 2 and a half hours in Parramatta Park this morning getting steps wandering from one cache to another instead of driving.
I didn't want to be home too late, so we drove to celticals ones nearby. This was a lovely find. The wander off the track was short and easy as was the find at the end. A favourite from me. Thanks

20-May-17
Out caching with WaywardWoman this morning. A wet day had been predicted, but we ended up with a beautiful Autumn morning! After doing some caches in Parramatta Park, we decided to head home with a slight detour here. When we arrived at GZ and spotted the cache, it put a big smile on my face. I loved the Cache and a favourite from me. Signed log and headed on. TFTC

It was a nice walk along the track from Froaderick Fromkenstein towards here, then a little bush bash to ward GZ. WOAH!!!! Now I see how he can see me before I see him, he actually startled me for one brief moment until I realised. What a very clever and unusual cache. Again it was nice to sign a fresh new log.
Cache and log in excellent condition.

Well he seemed pleased to see me, & as his reward I gave him a nice fresh log.

All good to go.

We found the way to get to this cache without too much bush bashing, but with all the noise we made it definitely heard and saw us coming first. What a hoot! Loved the camo which was very easy to spot. Log was signed but is damp and falling apart and really need to be replaced. All was replaced and the guardian was set in place again. Thank you to Celtical for a fun cache.

What a long drive for my daily cache or 2 - I drove a muggle friend up here (from Canberra, where we live) to visit her Mum (who lives in the nearby village) ... I came for a walk and looked for some caches while they had a chat before lunch, I found 2 of the 3 I looked for, then got back there half an hour later than I was meant to because there was no other way back from where I had walked to - lol
TFTC - this was the first one I looked for ... it spotted me first - I was busy looking at rocks, and red flowers on a bush ... my phone rang as I was signing the log and while I was talking the mozzies nearly carried me off into the bush! ... and the bottom of cache rolled from the silly spot I had put it when I answered my phone (oops) but thank goodness it didn't go down the hole - phew!

01-Jan-17
Well, Mr S and Shoes Junior had better luck here than at our previous cache. We spotted the cache guardian before it saw us, as it was hanging upside down. Signed the log (which was a bit damp), and then returned the guardian to a position where it will be easier for it to spot approaching cachers. TNLNSL TFTC

I had a nice walk along the track through the bush with Dad. It was an excellent way of hiding the cache. I took the Cachekinz and will drop it off soon.

08-Oct-16
Looking down trying to avoid getting whipped in the face...then the GPS dings, I look up, and jump! There's a freaking black bird staring at me!!! After a brief stare down, the bird realised I was more than a match for her, what with my 70,000 years of human development and quickly went back to gazing at the sky. I felt sorry for her and decided she needed a companion.

Thanks for going to all this effort.

02-Oct-16
Popped in to check on him - he's still there. He mightn't see you so quickly now as he seems to be enjoying staring into the sky...............

18-Sep-16
Couldn't find it however it was raining so I didn't look for too long.

28-Aug-16
Nice location. The cache's friend makes it very visible to cachers (thank you), and perhaps too visible for Muggles. TFTC.

28-Aug-16
This was a novel hide in a pleasant patch of bushland. Nicely done, thanks celtical.

24-Jul-16
Nice easy walk in from Hammers Road, and made my way up the hill to look around. I think I saw it before it saw me as it was hanging upside down facing the other way, it may well have been yesterday's winds as I saw a few large tree branches down further up the track. Once I realised to container wasn't in the guardian it was quickly signed and logged. Thanks celtical. Replaced in a more logical position.

I had 20 minutes of time before my midday appointment at the ritrement village up Hammers Rd.

Walked on in from Hammers and got to a point where my iPhone pointing 16m in one way swung around to where I'd just been - perfect bush entry point.

It didn't take me long before I got to 2m out. I did a 360 look around and was suddenly taken by surprise - a fave point here for the great hide.

Nice hide here celtical.

We have visited some nice parks during our trip today in Northmead, Winston Hills, Baulkham Hills and Bella Vista and found this very nice cache.

27-Feb-16
Found this one on a return journey from Froaderick Fronkensteen with my son.

We deliberately did not attempt this one on the way in as we could see no obvious path heading towards GZ. Still no obvious path on the return journey, so instead we did some bush bashing to hone in on GZ. As we drew closer we indeed saw something watching us. We approached the creature and retrieved the cache without disturbing it too much. Log was signed and returned and we headed back down towards the main track.

My son particularly like this one (as did I), so am giving it a favourite point.

TFTC celtical. Cool

Bluewattle and myself had a lovely walk to GZ and an even better surprise awaited us after we headed off the beaten track. Loved the great 'camo' celtical and TFTC.

I saw the cache name and thought 'Romper Room' (if you're under 45 years think commercial version of Play School that finished in the 1980s).
I just had to follow the geotrail.

I was looking for the cache and when I spotted it, it scared the bleep out of me. Not sure if you placed that one down there as a decoy but you sure got me!! I'm not wearing the correct shoes so I'm being eaten alive by ants and mozzies.. Anyway TFTC. That was a hoot.

Walked on from Frank along the weed infested trail by the stagnant creek until the needle pointed left and I headed some 25 metres off the trail or was it? Not sure. Was only using the phone which said the cache was 10m off the coords but it's not 100% reliable although usually pretty accurate. The fellow was a bit toppled over and I was wondering how to extract the cache when I saw the attachment. Signed and replaced and continued walking on to the final cache.

Thanks!
