I'm really bummed to log a DNF for this. I appreciate all of the playground equipment as it is very unique compared to what I see back home in the US. I couldn't help but crawl in the igloo and swing on a long rope. When I got to the geocache coordinates I was relieved to recall there aren't land snakes in NZ. As I jiggled around what I was fairly certain would reveal the cache, I only found shards of broken glass. I kept at it longer than I normally would and eventually gave up. Shoulders hunched and feet dragging.
Day #3 of our Labour Weekend trip to Geraldine and time to head back to Christchurch, but first we had a few more caches to find in and around the town. Thanks to all the COs for these cache placements and for making our stay so enjoyable.
We had parked on McKenzie St to begin the multi outside the high school, then had the short walk to this cache. Unfortunately, a man and his small son were also walking towards the playground so we had to search surreptitiously while waiting for them to walk past - luckily they didn't stop to play.

Third time lucky here. Turns out it was missing the last two so special thanks to drawp for the replacement. No one round on a cold frosty morning - very pleased to change this to a nice yellow smilie. TFTC #8946

# 48 on our trip starting to be late in the day had to get out in the open to find some more caches
Down in Geraldine for a quick break away and after a glorious trip to Timaru today, we returned to home base for the afternoon and Poppymjr wanted a quick trip to find one more treasure for the day. We tried for the one at the War memorial but came away empty handed and so headed on to this one which turned out to be a nice easy find. TNLN SL TFTC
Out nice and early to grab this one although at least one of the local dogs was awake as it didn't stop barking the whole tie I was at GZ. Resisted the urge to play as more caches to find.
today we were driving the inland scenic route 72. sometimes we looked for a cache and found this one. tftc and greetings from germany.

Was briefly in Geraldine with a group of 24 oldies....they all went to a coffee lounge ...but I slipped away to get this nearby cache !

Noted all the recent DNF's and as had a small container with me so placed it at GZ to keep the cache alive. TFTC.
Na! Sorry we spent a good 15 mins looking for this cache to no avail. The coords showed us on the top of the bank by the slide, but we extended the look into the trees at the top and into the wall, felt a bit odd looking and hanging around a playground! Any chance of a clue please?

Not the best start to the day! I had a look for this last night on the way to the supermarket and called in this morning with reinforcements but still no luck in finding it.
Road trip from Chch to Auckland and we wanted to find a few more on this area as it is our first visit. TFTC
We were about to give up on this one, then a last look picked the cache up, TFTC
7218. Driving from Methven to Pleasant Point. We always call into Geraldine if we can, just so we can visit Barkers! This was our eighth cache find of the day and a fairly easy one. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.

After a good lunch decided to look for this one although we hadn't put it in the GPS. Success and no muggles around. TFTC
The youngest Gruffalo found this one nice and quickly thanks to the hint, then enjoyed some time at the playground. Exchanged some swaps. The 4th of 8 caches we found today - TFTC!

Wasn't sure this was going to be a good time but only kids in park were down by the skate park. Good spot. There used to be another cache nearby so nice to see one back. Nice to see the girl guides getting involved in geocaching.
The littliest Bairdy and I went for a quick stroll this afternoon. It wasn't where I had guessed it would be. The bunch of teen muggles close by meant we had to use our bodies for cover. TFTC girls!

Yay FTF. Would have got to this earlier but had to do the longer round this morning so had to finish first before heading across the bridge . Nice quick find hopefully it doesn't get muggled like the last one that was close by . Great to see some more local players in the game will be a Fav for the FTF from me tftc
