I dont want to speak ill of any other geocacher, but what we found was probably the weirdest shit we have seen. We walked around to the back of the tree to find a cracking spot for a cache only to not find anything. We checked the hint and could not believe we were about to DNF a cache out here. Then we read the activity and someone had decided to replace the cache 5m up a tree. We had our tree fishing pole in the car and could see the hide and know we know the definition of cache creep.Lets say that for future finders that you dont need a tree fishing pole and the hide is back in line with the hint. WTF? tftc
youngoldfella I found your cache Bull Camp Road #8 on 11/6/2024, 5:05PM. This is my find 6721 and find # 15 today. Found it, returned it up on a branch. Tree fishing pole required. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Out on the bike doi g a loop to seek out a few ca hes north of Nanango. First for the morning and oh no a possible DNF ???. Found that the cache had fallen to ground and was deeply covered with debris. Cache placed back into the logical hide location
A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…
My first, but not last, DNF of the day… I read, and reread the hint… I went round all the trees at GZ… but failed to spot a container…
Another day then…

Tftc YOF, day out from Nanango today to collect a few caches that we missed out on last time we were in the area
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
A lovely caching run this morning around the country roads in this beautiful area. It was very quiet along this road today We had not downloaded this cache for some unknown reason and we didn’t have a signal but did manage to track down this well hidden little one. All good with the cache log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Youngoldfella for placing these caches for us to find.
The road is very dusty and dry. This area really needs a good soaking. I really like these sneaky little cache containers. They are super sweet. Thankfully easy to spot too. Lucky no. 13 for the day. TFTC.
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
We had enjoyed our drive along the back roads in this area last time so we made sure to head back here on this visit. Last time we had turned off to the right off Mylett Lane, in our search for the headwaters of the Brisbane River. This time we headed left and made our way to this cache. Another successful find. Our annual big day out in the Burnett region was planned for today, with a truckload of caches found around Cooyar, Yarraman, Maidenwell, Nanango and points between.
So after seeing a guy on a quad bike tearing up to the gate at #6, I had just finished finding this one and signing the log when I see him come over the crest on his quad bike, obviously looking for me.
He pulled up and said "who are you and what are you doing here?" which was quite a confronting thing to say. I explained about geocaching, and offered to show him the container. He understood but basically had loads of things to accuse us of doing, like tearing up the roads, lighting fires, compromising biosecurity by going onto the farms, etc etc.
I told him we do not enter private property, and that these caches are lucky to have 1 visitor a month, and that cachers are very responsible people and have a positive impact on the environment by removing rubbish. I explained that people bring their vans and stay in town for a week spending lots of money in town helping his local economy. I also told him that if he ever had a problem with these caches he could contact geocaching.com and they would contact the CO with his concerns.
He seemed to be satisfied with that and got on his quad and left. Another happy customer .
Thanks for the experience, discover our trackable

Hi there youngoldfella.
We have based ourselves in Nanango for a few days. We started off the day by selecting a cache that was near by, and then used a "Next Closest" route to complete our cache raid. Today's run was like a magical mystery tour, as we didn't know where we could have ended up. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 22 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 6m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Weekend away with Benny boppers, Lisylou and Mnance101. Lovely day for a drive. Tftc
After a bike ride over Mt Stanley, I decided to take a detour on the drive home to find some caches to help get me to an upcoming milestone. I continued north and found some caches on the road over to Nanango then began the long drive home. Thanks for placing these
This week-end Caro (from Jess & Caro) & myself teamed up for a few days of geocaching up this way. [^]
Today's geocaching drive started at Moore and finished at Murgon. We did detour into Nanango for lunch as well.
I found a total of 23 caches for the day and Caro found a few more than that.
All finds were found quickly and generally in good condition.
We started searching under the pile of chopped wood before reading the hint ....

Heading up north to enjoy the car's aircon in the hot Aussie countryside this Australia Day weekend and to dash out every now and then and find some caches along the way.
Brother Colin can drive when I need a cold beverage, hehehe. That may be quite soon, seeing how hot this day has already gotten!
This was one of a total of 37 finds for me today, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable Australia Day.

I do remember this one. It was at the bottom of a very nice downhill stretch and I overshot GZ by a bit. I glanced down at the bars and saw 30m to go on the GPSr. Unfortunately the speedo was reading 48km/h. It took a while to stop safely.
I mis-read the hint here and spent longer looking than I needed.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Went out for the drive and I could not find it. The council has been through the area and the property owner has done a bit of a clenaup when the new fence was erected. Same co ordinates but now not at ground level.

Coordinates changed to:
S 26° 37.686 E 152° 5.307
Distance from original: 18.3 feet or 5.6 meters.
There has been a control burn fire through here as well as a new fence construted as well as a clearance path/fire break constructed as well. Very dry here and there are piles of timber appearing to me to be waiting a match to be thrown into the piles. Changed the co ordinates slightly to protect the host a little better.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.

Our 2nd day at Nanango. After lunch we headed to Bull Camp & River Road tofind new caches that have been placed since we were here last.
A great country drive, we became a little off track to begin & wandered onto private property, The owner was on his way out & stopped to see where we were going. We said we were looking for Bull Camp Road geocaching, he said he had found most of them. ( Don't know his name) He then pointed us in the right direction.

After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Up in the Kingaroy and Nanango area for the Nanango Event. After the Event on the Saturday, spent 3 days chasing caches around the countryside and also in the towns. Seeing the different type of caches the CO's puts out in different locations that you would not do if you did not geocache. Thank you CO for bringing us to these spots. TFTC
Had an enjoyable weekend including attending Nanango's first Ever Event and searching for lots of caches. Saw wonderful scenery as well as wildlife on our travels through the back roads of the South Burnett. Thank you to all the COs who place the caches in these fascinating spots.
Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location. This one was something a little different from the others. I don't know how, but for some reason, something at GZ looked slightly, every so slightly, out of place. Upon further inspection, what would you know, there was a cache in there!
This cache was part of a Nanango adventure that was shared by Fairy Mother, ZoolandR, mtill17 and myself. This adventure started from the Sunshine Coast and all revolved around the event 'Nanango's First Event' - http://coord.info/GC61ND8 .
It was a fun day of catching up with old friends, exploring new places, grabbing new caches and making many wrong turns (as always).
It was a perfect day to be out caching as the weather was favourable and the temps stayed down, keeping us cool. We just jumped from cache to cache, all working towards hitting milestones today. All up, return trip, it was about 16 hours of event attending, cache hunting and just honestly, an all-round fun!

Happy to have been able to attend the nearby event and then off along the dirt roads with Nature0Nut to log a few caches and soak up the scenery

This cache was a wonderful surprise. A very tricky hide and by some pure luck I found it quite quickly. I could have been tortured here for ages but I was just lucky. A very cool hide which I was so pleased to find and sign the included log book. Thanks for this challenge youngoldfella. Such a variance to many other hides around this area which was partly why it was so tricky. I should shut up before I encourage you to hide more like that, lol. Cheers! After checking into our bus for the night, we decided to go back to seek this cache in the daylight.
After hovering over it a few nights ago in the pitch dark, it was nice to be able to find it in the daylight. The one and only one we could not find out of 10 caches that night.
Nice to have a smilie for this one.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks youngoldfella All good with this cache

@1.10 pm . We have arrived in Nanango for 5 days of geocaching and for the event on Saturday. We had settled into the caravan park with our geocaravan, and off we went in the geotug for some cache finds. We had noticed that this cache had not been found, so made our way to GZ. It was MrsGT54 who quickly found the cache, before MrGT54 had begun his search. A great cache container. A favourite point from us. TFTFT TFTC.

I had a phone call from someone who attempted to find this one and after talking for awhile we realised that they had the host in their hand but failed to find the small bison as it is inside the host. the host will come apart as it is in two pieces. Went for a drive to check and yes it is where i initially hid the clever little thing. good luck.
TFTC 1597# out and about with the Purple-Ninja00 and a [;D]
