I am not going back here anytime soon, seems it must be gone... with all those experienced searchers logging DNFs..
This evening after work, I headed home a little early with a plan to ride the *Geoart Reel Rainbow series of Mystery geocaches* series by @Bob From Elsewhere. I brought my mountain bike, and headed off along the levy tracks. There were mosquitoes and little flying things galore, and I hadn't prepared myself with Bushmans or mosquito spray. Every time I stopped, it was a challenge to keep looking and swatting! It was a nice evening to be out and about, and had wanted to make the most of geocaching and fitness before any planned COVID-19 lockdown that only seems inevitable now.
I looked and looked and looked, and without a lot of real hiding places at GZ, I highly suspect this one is missing. A CO visit may be required, sorry to say Hurtle.

Couldn’t spot this one today. The area near where my gpsr was taking me was absolutely covered in sour sobs the size of shrubs! I had a bit of a rummage around, but couldn’t really spot any area that might harbour a cache. Maybe next time.
Thanks Hurtle

Unexpectedly had the use of the work ute as the Chairman's son is incapable of proper planning, so this was a bonus for me.
With an on time departure from work thought I would be able to make the walk out here and get back to the Ute before it got too dark. It was a nice big walk which was also good as we are on the 5:2 diet so took my mind off being hungry as today is a fasting day.
It was actually quite a nice walk, the light was lovely on sunset and the birds were all busy heading back to their sleeping spots so it was busy out here.
No stenchy smells today, but a lot of crows crowing.
Alas no bunnies seen and no cache found. Checked several spots, one looked like an ideal hiding spot but couldn't find a cache there. Conscious that the light was disappearing thought it better to continue back to the Ute before it got too dark. Checked on the walk in both directions too and from Grey Matter. Will watch and return another day, am sure I need to come back here for some BFE finals. TFTH Hurtle.

I had planned to go out and find the Reel rainbow series of caches today with gridge98. However, the weather was not looking so good for a walk as we headed out, so we decided to try and find a few solved puzzle caches that were a little closer to the shelter of the car while we waited for the rain to pass.
Eventually the weather fined up and we headed out to where the mangroves join the saltmarsh for what turned out to be quite a pleasant walk.
It seems that there were no bunnies (other than us) silly enough to be out here today. Although we did see three foxes - perhaps that accounts for the lack of bunnies!
Thanks Hurtle for the cache.

A great day out walking to complete the rainbow series with e.gregory1. It rained for the first part but cleared off to make it quite a pleasant walk.
All the finds were fairly simple and didn’t take too long to find.
Collected a few other puzzles and trade along the way TFTC

Didin't see any bunnies today but we saw plenty of wildlife - 30 different bird species, 2 hares, a rabbit, a fox, a bearded dragon and 3 shingleback lizards (unfortunately two were dead). Fortunately the mozzies were few and far between. TFTC.
When our closest to home caches are all puzzles or kayak caches and we dont have a working brain or a kayak we are forced to really look at what caches are available for us. Loved the walk thankyou.
Found during a trip to Adelaide with Pacman, Jacko83, SedgewickDave, Tritonz and Homburg for a caching trip adventure that would include many hikes, kayaking and getting some tricky D/T's.
The trip was well planned with months of preparation; solving puzzles, planning the best road routes, caches to find and kayaking to do. We had a great time and the SA cachers are commended for their caches.
Thanks for the cache.

In Adelaide for a long weekend of full on caching in the great company of Jacko83, ThePacman, Quasar3671, ahomburg and sedgwickDave. With a lot of planning, targets were set, puzzles were solved, lists were put together and then eventually the journey was made to SA where we were spoilt with interesting caches in great locations.
After a relaxing evening last night enjoying a local pub meal and a few drinks we felt revitalised and ready for our last full day of caching in Adelaide. The plan was to kayak amongst the mangroves first thing but the strong wind put paid to that, at least for now anyway.
So plan B was to pick up the Reel Rainbow caches and whatever else we had solved in the area. Once the entrance was negotiated we were off enjoying the unique area and the various caches , some were easy to find while others had us scratching our heads. All in all only 1 DNF , so no complaints from these Mexicans.
We found a red rabbit today , that must be what the salt does to them
Thanks Hurtle for your cache in the wastelands.

A long planned visit to Adelaide for a boys extra long weekend was finally here, so there was a big group of victorians headed over the border for a select list of caches, many of them long time solved and others solved in the last week or so. Kayaks onboard, we were ready for a big 4 days. The megaraid crew consisted of sedgwickDave, ThePacman, Quasar3671, Jacko83 and The_Tritonz.
Day 3 was supposed to be the kayaking day, but due to bad tide conditions and high winds, we put it on hold. until later in the day. A change of plans and a walk was decided upon, before some kayaking this evening.
This was the walking portion of the day, a mostly pleasant walk, although the wind at times really was wild.
Many thanks to Hurtle for the cache. TNLN.

A nice walk with the guys this morning as our original plans to be on the water in the Yaks was delayed due to wind conditions.
So walking along picking up this series of Reel caches was a rather pleasant walk indeed. Some hides were tricky with some taking more time then others. Thanks for bringing me out here today with the Adelaide raid crew (Jacko83, Pacman, Quasar3671, Ahomburg & Tritonz).

Out an about today caching as part of the Adelaide raid.
A nice walk along here, however some of the containers were a real pain to find and wouldn't want to be searching solo!
One of the much easier caches for a change, cheers!

Out for another fun day with S.A. Sewer Rats trying to get my Reel caches finds up and closer to Reel Nirvana. Today's mission was to find all the Reel caches remaining unfound west of Port Wakefield Road. That meant there would be some walking...about 10 kilometers all up for the day but mission almost accomplished. [:o)] Off course there were a few detours here and there to get some other caches as well.
No bunnies sighted today. Only one shingle back and a few birds. Glad there weren't any wriggling sticks. Oh yeah...and a cache.

A nice quick find whilst searching for solved Mystery caches. The constant yeep yeep yeep sound of what looks like Pied Stilts on the wing was constant company on my journey around the wetlands here, I love the look of these Giraffe-Legged small water birds, most amusing is how their legs dangle behind them when they are on the wing A wonderful bird [^]

With an unexpectedly free Saturday, Owl collected the temporarily bereft SA Sewer Rats for a day of far too much walking, but a satisfactory number of caches. There was some thought of needing a higher terrain rating, but sense and a better look prevailed and a cache was soon found.
A great day a great walk with the Muggle Mrs and geo dog, we were a little concerned with the entrance with a sign reading "Private Property" but we were assured that we would not be questioned. Our arrival at the entrance was met by a person leaving and with no questions raised we carried on. Further along and next to the establishment we were asked politely what our business was. An answer of its a nice day for a walk in the area seemed to be accepted but a warning about they not being liable for any injuries as it was Private Property? Anyhow we came across the likely hidey place and before long a smiley was secured. TFTC
Found It!

Out for a ride on my bike with my dad Rod81w and Earthlight. I had a enjoyable time riding my bike along here and a good time spending time with my dad. Thanks you.
Out in the area looking for some gold so it seemed reasonable to grab the traditionals that were within a few feet of our path.
This one was found fairly quickly after a SPOR was spotted.
Another Hurtle cache off the list but there are oh so many more!

Was passing through the area today doing the BFE Rainbow series. Had and enjoyable ride doing the series and on the way back grabbed all the remaining caches as I passed by them. Did not see any bunnies though. In fact didn't see any other wild life. While the day was beautiful I think it was still too cold for them to come out of their little burrows. However I did find a lovely little cache in its burrow. Extracted the cache and then the log. Signed the log and replaced in its burrow..

I did not see any Wasteland Bunnies out here. But I did see a Wasteland Goat! He (or she? ) came charging out of the mangroves and took off faster than I have ever seen any goat run.

found it with rod81w, on a day on the water with 3lg fishing in the boat. Team astro let us make the find as he was a beta tester.
Out caching the mangroves with sir_spectre, astro and the pint sized captain from 3lg. Stopped off here to grab this one, docked the boat and made a 200+ metre walk to GZ. should we have approached the easier way, of course not cause it wouldnt be an adventure.

My first find for 2016
I decided to get this cache while enjoying an early morning paddle on new years day.
The last 80 meters was in very shallow water so I had to wade and drag my canoe (African Queen style) fortunately no boggy mud but plenty of mozzies
A favorite from me because I enjoyed the extra challenge of coming via the water so much.

After collecting a smiley on newly published cache not too far away, we decided to continue on down the track to find this one too ;cP On our way spotted a goat, which ran down to track in front of us and scurried into the mangroves. A nice easy find... and glad to earn a few more smilies whilst venturing out here! As we started walking further down the track, red spotted someone on a bike in the distance... and soon we were greeted by 3LG and Earthlight :c) It is always great to catch up and chat with familiar teams in the field... and thanks for the lift back to our car!! The plan for today was to search for the location to hide the Reel Nirvana cache.
The first venture along the embankment now had a number of caches making the hike worthwhile.
The last visit to the area many years ago was to a nearby secret family fishing spot in the North Arm. Garden Island had no bridge and there was no water skiers, jet-skis or speedboats (they raced at Snowden's Beach).
In those days the area was pristine and a mangrove forest surrounded an inlet that extended inland to the location of GC54RWX Fallian Marshes .
Thanks to Hurtle for the cache and the memories.

Today's tour started actually in Dutton where I got picked up. Plan was to log a long solved mystery T5, the main reason for that was the climbing gear I brought over to Australia. So I finally got tol log a T5 over here aswell, together with a bunch of local cachers I met at the Nuriootpa Vine Inn on a geocaching event. Due to the heat we left early in the morning. Still it reached 35° C by the time we had logged the T5. The fire danger season was on, and with the Pinery-fires in mind we watched every step made.
After having finished that cache we went on to the multi in the area and got back to the cars later on. Then we made our way through the woods to Elisabeth (with a few stopovers), there we got dropped of and continued caching in locus cache's car. The afternoon was all about avoiding the heat and keeping the engine running as long as possible, almost 40° C is not the most optimal temperature for these kinds of adventures. Happily I got my first Australian FTF around Pt. Adelaide and came second with locus cache on three other new ones in the area. After that a pub gave us a well deserved draught and a rest from the heat. Later on I got dropped of in Nuriootpa.
All in all this has been a really successfull day with different accomplishments. I hope this is gonna be repeated in future. Thank's to all cache owners and please go on hiding these awesome geocaches. Greetings from a Swedish guy, Lukas.

After a big morning finding 2 geocaches in Para Wirra with DennisC52, ttrog, muggle partner, myself and Lukas96zig our group had separated.
Now only muggle partner, myself and Lukas96zig remained and we were taking Lukas to some SA caches when a new notification arrived.
Considering that only a few hours ago Lukas had stated that he wished that he had have found a FTF find during his time in Australia. there was nothing for it but to try for this cache!
We parked, we walked 1.1km in 40 odd degree heat and at the last bit Lukas ran ahead as there were some kayakers inspecting the Tree in a Ship cache and he thought they may land to snaffle the FTF.
Thankfully they didn't and Lukas' smile was huge as the *FTF* was confirmed! Woohoo!
A fitting thank you to Lukas for his efforts this morning! [^]
Not one rabbit was seen, not even a lizard either. Maybe they were clever enough to stay out of the heat!
