Took a moment to figure out what numbers I needed but atfer that is was a breeze
Took a little looking for the second item and then we were able to solve it easily. Hosing down with rain so left finding the final until today while out on my dog walk. TFTC.
An extended long weekend with lots of caching yay! The weather ended up being better than predicted and I had a ball thanks to all CO's!
Nice quick sort and find. TFTC!!

Out with the kids again these school holidays. Surprisingly, this cache hadn’t been found in over two years! At the first waypoint, we identified the numbers & did some sums which pointed to an unlikely spot. I then re-read the instructions & realised where I went wrong! Its all about how one interprets the instructions, easy once you know. Cache found, HIPS, log last signed August 2020, all good here. TFTC Sidewaze
I got the answers a long time ago and always wondered when would be a good time to look for it at such a busy street... When I looked for it, I wondered if I am at the right spot, checked previous logs and it didn't seem to make sense, I checked a photo from a log and was then sure I had to revisit to check my answers.
Of course they were wrong, I got the house number closer to the left side. Corrected and off to a close find, while walking along the hidden way I spotted the cache immediately, not sure it was meant to be that way. Signed and replaced, but there are few possibilities to hide it better. But giving the size and colour I hope it won't be muggled.

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Found on a day when wanted up the finds for the day. Thought I couldn't find some information but re-reading clarified that. Quick find at final. TFTC
I seemed to have got off on a false start after 3 visits to the posted co-ords but after some help from the CO I was able to get back on track. On approach I spotted something kind of out place and yep, that was the cache I was looking for. A quick signing of the log and then I return it all to where I found it. Thanks Sidewaze, your cache is in good condition.
It took me a minute to figure out what to look for here. Then I spotted them, but did not read the cache page properly so kept searching not aware I already had all the numbers required. A lack of a checksum always gets me a bit jittery, but the coords looked very likely so off I went. Approaching GZ it looked like there could only be one option, and it was correct. Nice multi in the end, TFTC Sidewaze.
I had planned to go boating today with some colleagues, but apparently the recent bad weather has made it not clear enough for snagging crayfish, so with the day free I decided instead on a trip over the hill to snag some caches.
Good fun today, a nice mixture including some wherigos and a virtual and they were all in pretty good shape. Thanks to all COs.

Worked out where the final is for this one quite a few months ago but we have been saving it for a 'rainy day'. Today was that 'rainy day' well actually it had started raining by the time I got here (only just). But for me it was a bit of a rushed day, after work I was picking up some of the grandchildren for the weekend and I had an appointment to get to back in Hope. Luckily it was an instant find. I did not open the whole log, but from what I could see I used the last space. Sorry but I do not have any spare logs the right size for this cache.
Thanks for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

I got the required info on Thursday, but it started raining while we were having lunch so I decided I'd leave for today. Made the right call there, hot and sunny today with temperatures in the mid 20's. TFTC
over from melborne visiting jays folks. went for a walk before dinner and grabbed the cache. tftc
In town on a wee family summers holiday visiting family. Grew up in Richmond - gosh the years have changed it! MrsTG out for an early morning run - collected the WP info as she zoomed by. On getting back to my sisters and calculating the final we saw it wasn't far away so I wandered back out for the quick find and sign. Cheers!
Approached from a different angle and saw required information straight away. Did the sums then headed off for a nice quick find before school lets out for the day. tftc
Stopped at the nearby parking with Tregearp, found the required information and then off to the final for an equally quick find. All in good order - signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for another Sidewaze cache.
Quickly grabbed the necessary information, beautiful specimens so pleased they are being preserved. A quick stroll to the final and spotted the wee cache quite quickly, a quick retrieve and log with SJT_NZ and then off up the valley for a stroll. TFTC all in good order.
Out giving the dog a walk. A good long walk in the cooler evening. Sorted out the required numbers then off to make the find. Cache has been a bit lonely so good to give it some company. Signed as JTS. And claiming 1340m towards the DGSc distance challenge.
Final a good hide by itself but I'm glad it was sweetened by a bit of history and a short walk.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
Out caching with eldest grandson, he pointed out the first "preserving the past" I was looking for something totally different. After getting all the numbers, a short walk and grandson did the honours and found the cache. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.
A particular busy night at Queen Street Fish Supply had me playing the tourist enjoying the NZ fauna while muggles ran up the street to get their 1/2 scoop of chips. I was soon on track though and found GZ but had left my pen in the car. Instead of signing I've taken a snap and preserved room in the log. Then it was off to the Sprig for a pint of Wai-Iti!
Enjoyed these, had to guess which letterbox to use! Groundcover is now available, added.
High jacked the Seagnoid for a trip to Nelson to test drive a mini-dink 4wd vehicle and possibly time for some caching. Morning spent test driving out back Richmond & trying to get vehicle inspected. So now we have time to find treasure. Heading towards the hills we pass this cache. The trees are magnificent fellows. I found cache but there was no ground cover to be had. Cheers.
TaybeeDragon and I are in Nelson checking out a 4WD to buy. Bring it back clean the sales yard says, when we set off for a test drive. But I wanted to check its 4wd capabilities, esp as it only has a 660cc engine. Yeah, tiny! But it performed great, so we returned it, washed it, booked it for a mechanical check. Still time to go caching!
So headed for the hills, and picked this one on the way. Thanks for the little history lesson, and the matching cache!

Great hide. Needed a bit of Sidewaze's thinking for this one. The implication of such thinking only struck me later, searching some unsuspecting person's driveway! TFTC.
It wasn't easy to get the numbers in the dark and we were a tad reluctant to shine torches about too much but we managed to get the info quickly then back to the car to work out GZ. Then a short wander and the cache was soon located, signed, and returned with camo.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
We parked in front of the pub and had to be strong. After a hot day a cold one did have its attraction. We had a job to do though. Finding the numbers was challenging in the dark but we managed. With the coords assembled it took a short walk and the cache was carefully removed from its possie and the log signed. Thank you Sidewaze
Needed to entertain nightowl19 and although she is a keen cacher sometimes, I occasionally need to make the proposed trip to be different or interesting to maintain her attention and motivation when she comes along, so a trip to Rabbit Island was mooted, and with bikes on the back of the car so we could have a pedalling trip left her interested and up for the challenge. In addition to this I had designs on grabbing one, or more (lots in fact) solved puzzles 'on the way'. Depends on your route, a circuitous snake-like journey can be considered 'on the way'.
Onto the return part of our journey via a few more caches of course. Last of the day, and a return visit after a recent failure to locate. Not to be confused with a D N F. An F T L is on the failure of the poor search technique. Found as confirmed by the C O, thanks Sidewaze F T C.

Sir Balec and I went to help Paddle chick solve a puzzle ,we searched for ages when finally the penny dropped and we got what we needed .We found the cache quite quickly. Tftc Sidewaze
I tried this one not long after it was published but didn't read the instructions properly, thought I needed help so enlisted Sir Belac and Nanzie. After looking for a third item we reread the description and realised we had everything. A quick calculation and short walk had us signing the log. TFTC

Quick find whilst I happened to be in the area today. Wouldn't it be great to be able to time travel back into time... Sneaky hide at GZ!! Thanks Sidewaze!!
Just spotted this multi yesterday and was shocked to see it was so close to home. Put the coordinates in this afternoon and saw it was only a 100m walk to gather the info. Perfect for a lazy Christmas afternoon while everyone else was having a siesta!
Maths completed outside the Sprig & Fern. Unfortunately they were closed so I could not have a refreshment while solving the final location. GZ seemed obvious, but the search for the cache took longer than expected. Fortunately I spotted it on the second scan of the area.
TFTC and Merry Christmas to all.

Three sets of batteries all proved to be flat - which suggests the old charger is faulty and the new one was missing. So Mrs Sobad had to do a multi on the phone - which is definitely not her preferred method. Maybe that why she misread the listing and was looking for three things plus one not three including one. And a mistake looking at boundaries meant she struggled to be even sure about the one. Once sorted the numbers were found and added and made sense. Made even more sense as she approached the final spot - it simply had to be where it was. Of course, we have said this before and been wrong but no this time.
Thanks. it was a frustrating search - all Mrs SoBad's fault - but a successful finish with a smiley. And the shopping was finished before she started.

I collected the numbers when I was in Richmond a couple of days ago so it was a nice quick park and grab today. That is a very interesting photo on the cache page - how times change. TFTC #7716
Found this cache after a hint from the CO (trust us to over think the numbers)
Good one
Thank you for the cache and multi.

I got back to Nelson yesterday after a week in Bangkok for work. Time to head out for some errands and a cache this morning. Gathered the numbers and did the sums. Walked off to GZ and spotted the cache on approach. No problems here. TFTC, Biggles.
We were planning on a quick trip out this afternoon to look for a cache or three but the heavy rain (where did that come from?) delayed our departure. Finally the rain stopped and there was a glimpse of blue sky, so we grabbed the caching paraphernalia and headed out. This was the first stop. With right hand man, StreetWalker, and his unscratched GPSr screen, we had no need of a print out. The second number took a few looks to spot, then I couldn't read the number (may need a visit to the optometrist at some point [:o)]) so was thankful for SW's stronger glasses.
We headed back to the car for some number crunching and were soon at a likely looking GZ. Managed to walk right by the cache initially, but when the GPSrs settled, they indicated we should retrace our steps and SW quickly found the cache.
Thanks for pointing out these items that are worth preserving - wouldn't have noticed them otherwise and TFTC.

#10367. After some leisurely packing, and a showery afternoon, it was after 4 when we emerged for a spot of caching. This was the first of three finds. We soon had the info in hand, and decided to set off on foot for GZ. After overshooting the cache, it was quickly spotted on the way back (the natural cover mentioned in the cache description was not in place). TFTC.
I took the opportunity to tie in visiting the start coordinates with taking Ellie for a walk. We did a bit of pacing up and down the footpath for a bit before re-reading the listing and then spotting the number we were missing. The final calculation of gz showed a place on the map that made sense and wasn't much of a detour for out walk so we headed off to there next. The area is also not far from where the Fuddleys used to live who are responsible for lighting my geocaching obsession. (I mean interest) The find was a nice easy and quick one without any muggle pressure. Good one.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

I wanted to find a few caches today to increase my tally of finds so far for the 3rd December (a feeble 3 in total). The instructions looked simple, so instead of printing out the cache page (my Oregon's screen is so scratched that I much prefer old fashioned paper), I scribbled down the details. Didn't make too good a job of this as I didn't realise I'd need to look for 3 numbers in total, not 2, so abandoned my attempt when my summation yielded a 3 digit number.
I'll be baaaack, with a print out .

When I saw this cache published yesterday and knew I was going to a Xmas function nearby after work I decided that would be the best time to go for it. After an initial false start with the numbers by including an item not really worth preserving I then found the right three and the result looked a lot more hopeful. A quick find at GZ proved that to be right. Thanks for the Multi and cache.
Huh. Much maligned by the FTF'er. He wouldn't have got me even if he had called in as I was out chasing down a 2TF. Failed at that too.
Enjoyed looking at the magnificent bit of bush over the fence. Good to actually notice it having driving past, ignoring it on so many occasions.
I hoped that there might be a stunning old homestead behind the bush but that was not to be.

Took a moment to spot one number, after that, every thing worked a treat.
I did smile at the camo.....will it stay put ?
When I came to Nelson 21 years ago (plan to leave after 5 years, so a bit slow there!), I flatted for 6 months close by to the final.
Hoped for a cuppa with the local "painter" but still 10 mins before his head pops out from the covers.
Nice one and thanks Sidewaze for the fun.

Working from home today, I had not planned on taking a trip to Richmond, but hey ho, with a possible FTF it's worth the effort.
I initially mis-interpreted the instructions and so spent a while looking for things that weren't there but once I re-read the cache description, things started to add up.
Approaching the GZ, I spotted a likely hiding place from a distance, and whilst the cache wasn't quite where I thought, it was close by.
Not long beaten to the find by half of team B&W, so congrats to him.
Thanks for Sidewaze for sneaking in another urban hide.
