I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi simpo64
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

.We are too early for the up coming event so time to explore Palmerston. A quick snag and tag here. Cheers
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Took me a while - like an hour, before I got the connection to the cache name. Still early for the Anzac event, so caching around town.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
The cache was an instant, the log was signed and returned as we had found it.
The funniest sight was as we were returning to our campervan a man across the road was trying really hard to suss us out, he kept popping his head up over the greenery and when he thought we were looking he would bob down again. This happened several times before we pulled away, but gosh did he look funny.
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

I couldn't find this one either. It doesn't seem to be at the most obvious spot. I had a good feel around there and to either side just in case. I suspect it is gone.
Found with 4Clubs whilst in the area for a sad occasion. We were still dressed in good clothes so had to take care when straddling the waterway. Cache easily found. TFTC
It was nice and quiet today so it was a quick find for us. It was a bit slippery but we managed to not get wet feet. TFTC
Stopped in Palmerston to find a few caches on the way north this afternoon. No problems here, a quick find. Signed log, TFTC.
Today is grabbing some caches to reach my 2500 which I plan to do at the top of Palmerston Hill so with that in mind I needed to grab 12 today before facing the hill and this was one of them. Thanks for bringing us on a different road in giving us a different view of the section of the network. The Muggle friend I had is used to getting request for truck for permits on these roads and could see what they look like, so win-win. Now onto the next one.
A quick park and grab while out about heading to Cromwell for new years eve. Grabbing a few caches to get my numbers up so I can crack 2000 before the end of the year. TFTC
Heading to Middlemarch for a caching weekend and had the morning to fill in before meeting BCD at Palmerston. Nice quick find. TFTC
found all safe and secure no problem at all TFTC found with team_macdonald while out on another adventure TFTC
I drove up from Dunedin to to Oamaru today on my way to attend the weekend's Geofest Event. I ventured off the main highway a number of times to explore the country byways. There was of course the odd cache to find along the way as well. All in all a very pleasant trip with some interesting places and great views along the way. Cheers and TFTC

A bit of a menagerie here. One of the horses was lying on the ground for so long I was worried about its well being but the goat was totally nonplussed. TFTC # 10089
Today our cycletour of NZ takes us from Oamaru to Palmerston, and naturally we have to log a few caches along the way . Tftc!

I have been planning this trip for a while now as I had some airpoints due to expire and wanted to go somewhere for Wellington Anniversary Weekend. So I've made it a 4 day weekend and come down from Palmerston North for a caching road trip. I have two goals for this weekend, to get to 2500 caches before 23 January as that is when I took up caching last year and to get caches on as many latitude minutes as possible that will hopefully qualify me for a challenge cache in the Manawatu. This is day 2 - Oamaru - Palmerston - Ashburton.
I haven't been to Oamaru and the surrounding area for five years and it doesn't look like it has changed much. Such a pretty town, full of history
Out bright and early for a quick run to Palmerston. Quick find here but the hint is misleading and obviously not just to me as the telecom tube (which is real) has obvious signs of tampering. Not trackable to be seen. Tftc

Since this is one of the few unfound caches in Palmerston it seemed a shame not to stop here on our way through. Co-ords spot on and a quick find was made. Found with AorakiSheep.
It is a big step with one foot on each side of the drainage ditch. Thankfully there was no water in the ditch today. Left TB Found with debsnz
Found with Granville86a on a lovely weekend for a caching trip to Palmerston. Thanks for your cache placement

A day out in Palmerston for Hevic and I. Most certainly an easy find, though I did go for a slip on the wet ground. We were a bit wrapped up in our conversation to pay too much attention to what we were doing, I'm afraid, but we're pretty sure the log is weather resistant. Cheers!
Found with CJ-Curry as we meandered around Palmerston. I didn't really help him as he slid around, I was distracted by the ponies on the other side of the road.
A diversion from the main road. Hope the CO lives here, because it's a bit awkward reaching under someone's hedge! Lid came off fine, but agree that plastic is better for a cache container.
Enjoying a great trip with tmann421 collecting caches along the way and getting to see some remote locations.
Another good find for us here. TFTC

#2176. I have just flown south today to attend a conference in Oamaru and so have a few hours before nightfall to pick up some caches en route. These are my southernmost caches so far. Will be back this weekend to pick up more around Dunedin. Saw on the GPS there were a few caches in Palmerston so drove into the town to pick up several. I hadn't noticed this one was temporarily unavailable as I loaded up caches on my GPS a while ago. Stopped the car, looked at the possibilities and the cache was a fairly quick find (once I confirmed the grey plastic cable cover was not a clever hide). The lid came off the jar very easily for me. Maybe the last cacher has loosened it again. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
As others have noted the jar was a pig of a thing to get the top off of. So much for not attracting attention to yourself! Had to retreat to the car to use a pair of pliers and that was fraught with concern too as I was afraid of breaking the jar. Glass isn't a good material for cache containers. Got there in the end. TFTC.
When I finally set off for the drive north, I realised that I only have the closest 1000 caches to Dunedin on the GPS. So rather than planning to take a break somewhere midway, I thought it may be a good idea to find a cache sooner rather than later when I run of the PQ Nice quick find here, TFTC!!
FTF How could I resist so close to home Off in my PJs in the drizzle for a quick find at 10 to midnight but it took me till 5 past to get the jar open Worth it to find the empty logbook Left TB
